"Sin cannot enter heaven, thats why Christ had to be crucified. HE took sin away." This statement made by ---duane is very true. This is also the reason that corruption must put on incorruptibility, that mortal was put on immortality, and all this changing will take place when we are raised in the resurrection, that is to say, we will all(the saved) be changed in the twinkling of an eye the Bible says.

IF you are God's child and do something wrong, He will punish you. Sometimes He will kill the body to save the soul.

God will do anything, by any means to bring us to Him.

Sin cannot enter heaven, thats why Christ had to be crucified. HE took sin away.
He reconciled the world to God, not counting mens sins against them.

After we are saved, the sin we commit is in the flesh, not in our new holy life that Jesus put in us at our new birth. When we sin and don't go to the throne of grace to ask forgiveness, our fellowship with God is broken, He can't fellowship sin. Broken fellowship is not a loss of salvation. Once saved, we are never lost.Sin is in the flesh and flesh cannot inherit the kinddom of God. It doesn't go to heaven, only our new creation life, our spirit and soul go to heaven.

Rebeca, the problem with your theory is that a person can be a tare and a wheat and then a tare again and if he wants again a wheat. Not Scripturual. You are one, or the other. God will not lose any. He will convict them of wrong and they will inherit the promises of Christ. Not because of the person, but because of Christ. There is no condemnation to those that Love Christ. They are righeous before God only because Christ has imputed righteousness on them, otherwise they are condemned and guilty.

That is right R.W. believing in God only, just doesn't cut it. It is when you have faith in Christ. In His finished work on the cross and most of all feeling the conviction in our hearts that we have done wrong against a wonderful holy God. Any other way is the wrong way. For even the devil believed but was not saved.

Lupe many cults BELIEVE they're going to a heaven, believing wont cut it

Meaning they have to start a fresh new relationship with God. They can't pick up where they left off with God.

Ephesians 5:5-6 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ->Let no man deceive you<- with vain words: for because of these things cometh the >wrath< of God upon the (children of disobedience).
You can not be disobedient unless you were first obedient children of God, the wheat and tares grow up together they are bretheren.

When the flesh dies, it cannot commit sin anymore, it cannot repent anymore, and it waits for the Glorification. The spirit goes to be with Christ waiting for the second coming, when our bodies will be changed. We can live depended upon ourselves, and believing we can go to hell, on our merits, or we can live believing on the promise that we are depended upon Christ to complete the work He has promised. We can live our lives thinking we are going to hell, or we can live thinking we are going to heaven.

5. That is why we say, you will know them by their works. Which is very true because a person that is saved will change. Not perfect but becoming more Christ like in his actions and morals. If someone lives like the devil, with no change in his/her life, to me it would seem he is not really saved. There are many that call themselves Christians but really never repented, and repentance is admitting that what you have done was wrong and against God and a having the willing heart to change.

5. be headed to hell itself. God promises only to the believer because he believes, that He will never leave you. The Spirit of God has sealed you. Those that the Fathers gives Christ are sealed for all eternity.
Eternal life means just that. God does not abandon His children. if one goes astray He will find him and bring him back. Not one is lost. All are adopted forever. Sealed with a Promise.

4. How in the world can they change that part until the Spirit convicts them. Take the smoker, if he/she is a Christian and still smoking, unable to breakaway, he hides so that others don't see him. He will not smoke in front of others at church because he knows it is wrong. The conviction is there and one day they will leave that one too. This is the work of the Holy Spirit but that is only when you are really saved. We are nothing without Christ. If we didn't make that commitment we would surely

3. We begin also to know more of God, and when we do we began to see more and more of the wrongs we do. All through the New Testament we can see the teachings of Paul and other always reminding them of what is right and wrong, and when we read it we ourselves find out more about what is right and what is wrong. It is a life long process and no one will know all that is wrong that God see's in us. Many right now are doing things wrong that they don't even know about.
---lupe on 7/1/06

2. Before we thought something was good to do, now we begin to be convicted of that. The only reason we love God is because He first loved us. The Spirit is the instrument or means of how we are becoming more Christ like but never really reaching that goal until God changes it completely. What was corrupt becomes uncorrupted. All through life is a struggle because we are in the flesh and will sin. But we know because of the Spirit that we have someone helping us with convictions.

I believe that Loree is correct. The relationship we have with Christ is such, that we live according to the guideness of the Holy Spirit. We begin to act and do things we would have never done before. We are heped now by influneces and convictions from the Spirit. As we begin our walk with Christ we are already made righteous in the eyes of God but still very much in sin through the flesh. The body is corrupted and God has a great job to do on us. As we begin we began to get rid of many things,

Romans 8:21-23, "Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."

Bruce, Jesus was perfect (sinless)in the flesh. There was no sin in his flesh to prevent his body from entering heaven. Is it possible that man can perfect and maintain his own flesh? Does the work of the Holy Spirit or Jesus' forgivness perfect our flesh?

Rebeccs, just so I've got this clear, you're saying when we sin, our names are erased from the book of life. When we ask forgivness and receive it, our names are re-written in the book of life. Is that what the Bible teaches us?

"Sin is in the flesh and flesh cannot inherit the kinddom of God. It doesn't go to heaven, only our new creation life, our spirit and soul go to heaven."

What about Jesus. He was bodily raised from the dead and bodily ascended into Heaven.

If you would read Debbie's statement then you could understand what I was meaning. A saved person can backslide and go to hell. Once a person backslides, they have to be convicted of their sins and repent and start all over with God in order for them to go to heaven. I was also meaning that once a person backslides, their name is erased out of the book of life.
---Rebecca_D on 6/30/06

Rebecca, what are you saying? That it is possible to obtain perfection and keep it while in the flesh? We are perfected when we leave our flesh, in which sin dwells. Not before. When we are born again (spirit children), we are saved, ONCE and for all.
---Loree on 6/30/06

Debbie christians are never lost after they get saved? How does one backslide then? If one backslides then that person has to be convicted of their sins and ask God to forgive them and start their relationship with God all over again. A saved person can backslide and go to hell.

Amen, Debbie and Mima. My spirit is in agreement with yours. Well said, Debbie.

Being born again, we are born of the spirit and the "old man" (our sinful flesh) is nailed to the cross where we should have been instead of Christ in the first place. Saved spirits go to heaven, but sin doesn't enter heaven because we enter heaven in the spirit and in Christ's righteousness.
---Loree on 6/27/06

When a person sins, the Holy Spirit in us lets us know when we sin, and therefore we become aware of this sin and ask forgiveness. If a person knows it is wrong but still does it anyway, those people won't be going to heaven, because they are still sinning on purpose and hasn't ask forgiveness. I think it was Paul that said When I was a child, I spake as a child, I put away childish things. Like us, if we do wrong, God in us lets us know, and gives us the choice to ask forgiveness.
---Rebecca_D on 6/27/06

Jesus answered this question in the upper room with Peter too. To refuse the cleansing of sins daily symbolized by the footwashing in the New Testament and bringing a lamb in the sanctuary service of the Old, would be to have no part with Him. As Paul said to the Galatians also, if they refused to repent, then the cross was of no effect to them. Sinners who refuse to repent have no inheritance in the kingdom of God. Ephesians 5:5. Read all of Matthew 25 also.

I am so thankful for this blog. And have learned much from other bloggers answers. The insight that can be gained from Debbie's answer to this question is fantastic. I sometimes have trouble expressing what I believe and then someone comes along and expresses my beliefs for me. I am thankful for my fellow bloggers.

It depends what the sin is. There is sin not leading to death, then there are the sins in Galatians that if committed it says that those practicing them will not inherit the kingdom of God.
---Helen_5378 on 6/25/06

Jesus said that unless we are born again we canot enter heaven.

But if we claim to be living this new life and we are still not letting go of our sins then are we really born again?
We have the power of grace to let go of sin and follow Jesus. Jesus did not come to drop the charges erase the law and let us to continue in sin, He came to save us from it completely. Romans 6:1-2, Matthew 5:17-18
Matt 1:21.
What is sin? 1 John 3:4

Matthew 22:12-13 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
A lot of people will show up for the wedding feast And not have their garment they will be suprised because they were lied to about not loseing their salvation
