Leslie is right on. I do agree. I support Israel and the Jews. Read Psalms 122 for starters. We owe a token of debt to the Jews. I give financial support to the Jews when I can through the Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Monetary gifts and other support is needed at all times. I wish to do more in the future.

I have heard of this for the past 30 years.

Some books for you to get a bit more aware of the situation:

Christians And a Land Called Holy: How We Can Foster Justice, Peace, And Hope by Charles P. Lutz & Robert O. Smith

Whose Land? Whose Promise?: What Christians Are Not Being Told About Israel and the Palestinians: by Gary M. Burge

Christian Zionism: Road-Map to Armageddon? by Stephen R. Sizer

How about they support Justice for all instead, and forget about race?
---Khadijah on 3/12/07

Israel is not a 'small country trying to protect herself from her strong neighbours'. Due largely to the fact that USA gives more aid to her than all other countries combined, she now is on the 'rich list' for GDP. And is armed to the teeth - including with nukes. Palestinians on the otherhand live on a few dollars a day and are under severe travel and economic sanctions.

God told everyone including Christians to bless Israel and the Jews and you will be blessed. If you curse Israel and the Jews you will be cursed.

I say then, has God cast away His people?Certainly not!God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew.Rom 11:1,2 But if you boast, remember that you do no support the root, but the root supports you. Rom 11:18 "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in."Rom 11:19 Do not be haughty, but fear. "for God is able to graft them in again." Rom 11:20,23

Israel gave a lot to the Palestians ... then Hezbaloo started picking on Israel. Israel warned Hezbollah to give our soldiers back or we're going to kick your fanny. Hez asked for it and endangered the entire Mid East in the process.

Elliott ... the Jews were chucked out of their lands several times by God, and were let back in. They have been let back in again, but who is to say that God does not want them kicked out again, because they do not treat the strangers in their lands properly? There is nothing to indicate this is the final time, in spite of everyone pointing to various prophecies bein fulfilled.
I agree with you. Very Sad

We're almost home? You're happy because you think the world's about to end? Number one, that's bunk, the bible is very clear it's never going to end. Secondly, what Israel is doing is just plain evil, it doesn't matter who does it, it's just plain wrong. If God wants Israel to have that land, then God will make it happen, we don't need to kill anyone.

Hey guys and gals...we are almost home...home sweet home.

Whoever curses you, I will curse them, says the Lord, and whoever blesses you, I will bless them. Apparently, we, the United States, is the only country in the world who supports Israel and is, therefore, have the protection of God. Christians are only grafted into the vine of the Jews - NOT a replacement. The Jews are still God's people and are important in end time events.
---Steve on 7/12/06

I'm not sure what you are saying when you say, the church is "heir to the promises made to Israel after the flesh". Are you talking about "replacement theology"? I'm sure that as Christians we may claim "spiritual" blessings that were given to Israel. But has God abandoned the covenant He made with Abraham? What Scriptures show that He has?

I'm not for socialism. But most of our allies practice socialism to some extent. Is Israel any worse?
---Donna2277 on 7/12/06

That socialst state in the Middle East is not the Biblical Israel.

God makes it clear in many places in His Word that the Church is the heir to the promises made to Israel after the flesh.

All nations need to hear the Gospel. But I think we do have a Biblical cause to help Israel. Politically, we may want to support them because they are the only democracy in the area, a small country surrounded by enemies. However, I believe God will undertake for them, in fulfillment of prophesy (and miraculously as in the 6 day war.) And if you visit the Middle East you will see that Israel has prospered in a wasteland from which their neighbors have produced little or nothing.
---Donna2277 on 7/8/06

As christians we are to be no respecter of persons and help all nations by speading the gospel any nation that is anti-christ are the same, jew or gentile, 2 John 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

The survival of the Jewish people is a miracle of God. Also their return to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The victories of Jewish armies against overwhelming odds in successive battles in 1948, 1967, and 1973 are inexplicable, if not miracles of God.

God says of Israel (Gen 12:3) "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
---Donna2277 on 7/7/06

Long after the Garden, God promised to Israel Gen 15:18 "In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land..." Gen 13:15 "For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever." Tho Israel repeatedly disobeyed, God didn't rescind His promise. The promise wasn't salvation. They must come to the Messiah Jesus for that. Their inheritance was a homeland, to which it was foretold that they would return.
---Donna2277 on 7/7/06

Wasn't it God who kicked them out in the first place for falling away from their faith? I read that they were kicked out because it was Gods will. I've only read that they WILL get it back not that they SHOULD. God kicked adam and eve out of eden, they never got to come back. If God truly wants israel to exist, then we don't have to kill anyone, he will let it happen.

Israel people is god chosen people, I support israel to defend itself from extremest or anyone try to do her harm.

It's always been the case that Christians were to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Before 1948 there WAS no land for the Jewish people. They were scattered everywhere. But after WWII God restored to them to the land He gave them in the Days of Abraham, Issac and Joseph. Some people might tell you that God has given up on Israel and put the Church in its' place. But God never will give up on His chosen people, the nation of Israel
---Donna2277 on 7/7/06

Is Israel still Chosen? I think those who accept Jesus Christ as the Savior of mankind are Chosen. Those who reject Him are not. And those who inhabit what we call Israel today do NOT accept Jesus. Their Talmud calls Mary a whore, and calls Jesus an idolater who worshipped a brick.
---Matt on 7/6/06

Yes. Israel is still chosen by God. What He (God) tells us is, He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.
