Are You Casting Out Demons

At least half of Jesus' Ministry was casting out demons. Mark 16:17 says "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues". Question, are we casting out demons?

Casting out demons. many here don't know what they are talking about. I have been there and cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ. Their screams and ear piercing wails were heard by the whole neigborhood when they had to leave. A teenager dabbling with a oijia board had invited them into her home. Hundreds of people witnessed the demons walking up and down the road and their wails. When it comes to the powers of evil, if you don't invite them in, they cannot hurt you. the righteous need not fear.

Mima, you aren't getting responses here because most Christians don't know what you are talking about. However, I know exactly what you are stating and its very real.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

If you have never come across demon activity then it is probably difficult to believe that thay are real, many people read the situation as seeing Ghosts which is a name used by the world to describe demon activity, and often people associate this with unbelief because of their experiance, and belittle the experiance of others, but as long as you know Who God is you fast and pray and these things leave their dwelling places.

Not sure whats going on in this post but to Susie, it's not that easy 'just dont do it agian' and Emcee, I've tried that many, many times. ANd to that other person who said I should be ashamed to say God wants me to get high, well, sorry but sometimes it just seems that way, actually LOTS of times, but I do apologize and do not want to offend you, just trying to be honest.

No devil or power of addiction can enter the body unless invited by the recepient dabbling in same.& similarly you have that power spoken of in Luke4.Even Jesus was tempted by the devil& all he said was begone from me the same way you invite the demon or addiction you can drive it out by invoking the name of JesusBut it is UP TO YOU,& must be your heartfelt desire.
---Emcee on 7/20/06

Every time you post the word of God in truth and someone is angered and will not forgive in hatred you have just riled a demon. When they get mad enough to flee the site you have just cast one out.

Linda, I am happy you coped with your lose as you did. I don't know how you felt and don't care to guess. I find this blog to be very disturbing and not helpful at all for God. you have brought the subject of death and healing and how we should demand things with our power and how to release, and now suddenly you are changing you ways and mixing stories and truth which should have been from the beginning.

It is a good thing that I didn't expect this because that means I trusted you that I could be who I am in Christ in front of you and not be wounded. Your "out of character" behavior is more of a surprise than anything.
---Linda6563 on 7/18/06

Paul came to a place where no man stood with him and all forsook him. He continued to stand and found that God stood with him, counting it a privilege. It is not in the house of the enemy that wounding takes place but in the house of my friends. I am on guard when in the house of my enemy but don't expect to be slaughtered in the house of my friend.

But, if we are Christians, we also know that in order for a person to get rid of an addiction they must be willing to give it up. Give it to Jesus and don't pick it up again. It's a simple as that.

The same crowd that was laying the palm leaves on the road in front of Jesus saying, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" is the same ones who screamed, "Crucify Him" not too much later so I am not "surprised" in the least.

Anonymous, I know who you are so let's just come out from under the covers..unless you are afraid to. I am not ashamed of anything I have written yet you cover up when you condemn me. And why are you taking something off another blog and putting it on this one that has nothing to do with that one? I have discovered that you have all kinds of friends when you agree with them but not so many when you don't.
---Linda6563 on 7/18/06

Linda, I just found this on a blog on this site:

Linda, You have said a lot of things but included in them you say a lot of stuff that is not true.

I tend to agree with Karen.

"He even said in Luke, "I came to set the captives free." Luke Chapter 4. Was Jesus lying?"

No, but consider what He said before that. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel...." The gospel being preached and received is enough to result in every one of those things named there.

In regard to Thomas D.'s answer to this question let me just add this. If you at any time feel under pressure to pray for something, please make that prayer to Almighty God in order that the manifestation of what you're praying for may not be hindered. The Lord has taught me many lessons in this regard. I have actually asked the Lord to relieve me from the pressure to pray, but if the pressure will not go away; I will pray and sometimes see amazing manifestations.

No wonder why so many Christians are walking around with strongholds in their life like unforgiveness, resentment, root of bitterness, spiritual pride, lust, insecurity, spirit of rejection, delusional spirit, etc., It's because the teachings on this subject are either non-existent or erroneous or Christians simply don't believe in the deliverance ministry. Which Jesus casted out demons ALOT and He even said in Luke, "I came to set the captives free." Luke Chapter 4. Was Jesus lying?

Sue, you say you prayed in the morning and received a check that evening. That check may have been in the mail before you prayed. If God sent you that money it sure was not for you to get high. I don't know how you could say such a thing.
---Thomas_D. on 7/10/06

Donna ... thank you for confirming that you have found that about a third of Jesus' ministry concerned casting out demons.
It does make Mima's "at least half" rather an exaggeration

alan of UK, mi ma is right. One third of Jesus ministry was casting out demons. The scriptures are too many to list here, but I can send you a copy of my study on the ministry of casting out demons. The word says: Jesus cast them out with a word. Jesus even asked one: "What is your name." They replied: Legion, for we are many. And I think they asked Jesus to cast them into the herd of pigs, right mi ma?
---Donna9759 on 7/10/06

mi ma, I went to 2 deliverance services in 1984 and 1986 and got set free from a spirit of rejection and a couple of others. However, know this. If someone wanted to be set free, I would definitely command that demon to come out, but so far, all the Christians I know deny they are bound and in bondage to a root of resentment, lust, a spirit of pride and a judgemental spirit. They deny they need help and to be set free, so how can I cast the root of resentment out of them if they deny they have it?

As long as you see this as "your" addiction instead of being taken by Jesus (He bore infirmities), then it will remain yours because you haven't yet reckoned it where it belongs...a part of the old man who has died. You are now a new creature who has been delivered, not an old creature trying to get that way. And we are not delivered when we stop a thing. We were delivered from sin when Jesus died. We are to apply that by faith and expect to experience the deliverance He has already wrought.
---Linda6563 on 7/10/06

Perhaps Father would like for you take a look at the serpent on the pole. That should pretty effectively deliver you from the serpents biting at your heels. There is life for a look. And as long as you believe money to be the trigger for addiction, you are missing the real root cause that needs dealt with by the death, burial, and resurrection...the carnal, unrenewed mind still functioning out of the fall of Adam.

"The other day I prayed in the morning and in the afternoon I received a big check in the mail that I had NO IDEA I was gonna is a big trigger for me regarding my addiction.I think God really wants me to get high!"

So, are you saying that God is the author of the addiction and is actually tempting you to sin? Every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of LIGHTS, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
---Linda6563 on 7/10/06

What makes you think your addiction is a function of demon possession? Why can't it be simply that - an addiction. Lots of people have a addiction to something. Some addictions are more destructive than others. Some are downright deadly but this is not the devil's fault. That is the human condition. You may very well need an intervention but not deliverance from a demon.

Are you a Christian? If so, how long have you been born again?

IMHO, the more I read this verse, it came to me that Jesus might have been saying thru His name, we will be able to "overcome" the devils or our "trials of temptation" from the demons (cast thoughts out of our minds), and we will "testify" (new tongues) to others who have not yet "overcome" their daily "trials or temptations".

I am very active in this area. It is a very rewarding work. The other day a young lady told me she had terrible dreams and mood swings and I saw her eyes separate into different directions. I asked her to hang on because we were going to cast out a demon. She said " no way, I want to keep my polar bear." She left but I'm sure I'll meet that one again.

I've asked God, in his son's holy name, to cast out the demon that is causing addiction in me so MANY times I've asked! Not working. I've prayed and prayed so much about it. The other day I prayed in the morning and in the afternoon I received a big check in the mail that I had NO IDEA I was gonna is a big trigger for me regarding my addiction.I think God really wants me to get high!
