Can Satan Create Problems For Us

When trials come into our lives, we often say that it is God's will or a part of God's plan. Sometimes we say that our problems are the devil coming against us, trying to drag us down. Satan takes advantage when we are down, but does he have the power to create problems or does God allow him to?

We do know that God ireal, and the devil was there from almost the beginning. God tests us and blesses us satan tries to make us stumble. Jesus is the higher authority! Be careful with your lifestyle and choices..satan is greater than us when we don't call on, or stay close to Jesus !

Satan has the power to create problems but only if God allows it. If you stay true to God everything all things works out for the good. You know the scripture.

Satan is the prince of darkness but when he wishes to cast himself into an angel of light he can prepare conditions to grind out volumes of truth as at the Church of Pergamos and many apostate churches today. (just look how he is sowing immorality into the U.S)in doing this he makes the Gospel less distinctive. This is one of his weapons of deception.

Jesus Himself was tempted by the devil....and the devil will do the same to us.
Jesus said>John 15:18
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you.
We have Christ as our example. He showed us the way. We can rebuke Satan the evil spirits and all their works. God can restrain him if we humbly pray, cause those evil things do prowl the world to seek the destruction of souls!

Ephesians 6:12For we wrestle not against flesh-blood, but against principalities, against powers-against the rulers of the darkness of this world-against spiritual wickedness in high places. We will battle>Ephesians 6:11Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.16Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God,

The devil gets waaaaaaay too much credit. 99.99% of the time the "problems" are just life. Not the devil. Not God. Just life.

Thank God He is there to see us through.

Amen John. That was well said.

Satan traffics in darkness. If you walk in darkness, you will encounter his vehicle.

Always remember, never forget -

"Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!"

Trust God and ignore Satan!!

Right. Satan has one technique, to lie. He uses lying to kill, steal, and destroy. It is us who opens the door to allow him to accomplish his work. God allows it because we have made the decision to open the door.

All of the answers are very helpful to myself and, I'm sure, others. What I wonder about most though are those seemingly random incidents that change an event completely - what heathens call "fate," such as you were supposed to be on an airplane and missed your flight because you were caught in traffic or something and then the plane crashes. What do you attribute those "near misses" in life to? God's plan - you were not to be in that place at that time?

Satan can do nothing except lie. The problem is who do you believe God or satan?? who do you walk with God or your flesh.God word says you reap what you sow. Those that sow to the spirit reap eternal life ,those that believe satans lies and sow to the flesh reap sin and death. Believe and obey God ,or sow to the flesh and listen to satan and his lies and gratify your flesh and reap death separated from God.

Bruce: You are so right. Plus, someone said that some of our problems are of our own creation.

Life on life's terms is the key to glorifying God. Don't waste time analyzing why stuff is happening. Deal with it. Play the hand you are dealt.

melissa, Debbie puts it best, and remember too what Jesus said:
The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, and right after that Jesus said: But I came that they may have life, and life abundantly.
Also melissa, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spirits and principalities.
No Good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Bruce, if what you're saying is true, then how come scripture tells us: "He works all things after the counsel of His will." Did God allow satan to do certain things to Job? YES. Did God allow Joseph to be thrown into prison? YES. What satan means for evil, GOD turns it around for good. Sometimes it's our own flesh is what I think you meant to say. God still covers us because LOVE covers a multitude of sin. Actually, Debbie says it best.

If a person will notice, that some of the problems we have, we bring on ourselves, it wasn't God's doings or Satan's doings., it was us. Like for instance, if we know that we think we could afford something (car) but buy it anyways because we wanted it, and when things got tight and couldn't make the payment, that is our fault for doing that, but yet we blame it on Satan. I admit when we are down in the valley, Satan feeds off our doubts, but that is when we need to praise God the most is in the valley.

Every good thing comes from God. Every thing that is not good comes from our own making or Satan, but is allowed by God. Scripture says "All things work together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose." God knew about everything we are going through and permitted it to come our way, therefore, it will all work out for His glory and for our good.
