My favorite way to tell people about Jesus is in the way that the Holy Spirit enables which is through any contacts I have with people - neighbors, people en route to places (fellow travelers). Recently someone asked me, "Have you got a light?" So I replied quickly, "Yes, only Jesus!" The person smiled, shook his head and walked on. In making that response, I was seizing the opportunity to share my faith.

Rebecca_D: Great point. I too, sometimes have the same problem with those who knew me in the past. Sometimes a stranger can better witness to your spouse or family better than you or I could. That's ok. God can use anything, anybody, anytime. He is such a good and merciful God.

I find most people's minds are closed to the Gospel believing Scripture has somehow been proven false by science. I ask them to explain how it's been proven wrong which leads to them talking about evolution. Most don't understand evolution but just accept it as fact having been taught it all their lives. Evolution is taught as fact at school, university, on TV & in movies. When was the last time you saw a nature program which praised God as Creator?

I show them that evolution is just a belief, where it doesnt work & very often have people asking to hear more which allows me to get to the Gospel with them now having a different attitude.

I've seen a lot of people saved this way. But you need to know your Bible, evidence for Genesis creation & evidence against evolution. The site creationontheweb dot com is a valuable resource for this.

Passing gospel tracts and other Christian literature. They fitly neatly in my handbag and takes up very little space. I give tham to persons at the grocery store, work, social functions, bathrooms, hospitals. Anywhere.Everything is explained on that little piece of paper. Great ministry for old and new Christians. Pray over the tracts before distributing them. That whomever receive these tracts will be saved and receive the forgivness of Jesus.

Apply the fruits of the Spirit and Jesus' light shines is easy from there because we are speaking from the heart of God..

We must have christian courage. Matthew 10; 16-18, Behold, i send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men,for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in there synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for my sake,as a testimony to them and to the gentiles.

I agree with the preceding posts about using our lives as a witness. However, there is also the practical matter of what happens after someone has seen the light of Christ in your life and decides he/she wants to hear more. Then, as the scout's motto says, we must "Be Prepared" to present the Gospel. I don't think it has to be a very complicated affair. The bottomline is to have a well-practiced baseline method and personal testimony to use when God gives us the chance to share with others.

For me it is hard to witness to a sinner that you know for a long time Or your family, because they know how you were in your past, and can't look beyond the past to see the new you. I show the love of God toward my father-n-law, but some men at my church can win him over better than what I could. My way of showing people is to just be me. Regardless when you see me or where, I am the still a dingy blonde whom is a child of God.

When someone asks how are you, I reply I am blessed, that usually leads to what, your blessed how? It opens a great big door. My family however is harder, I find the best way to tell them about Jesus is to let Him shine through me.

A lifestyle of love & peace that inspires the inquiry "What is it about you that accounts for your quiet peaceful disposition, you don't seem to let anything get to you?" My response is always the same, "It is not I who live but rather Christ in me is my only boast. The life I now live I live by the faith of God. He has given me of His Love & peace. A love that dispels all fear & a peace that surpasses carnal understanding. Receive Him that you may know Him"
