Christians Act Opposite Of Love

If God is love like the Bible states; then why do so many "Christians" act opposite that or not love their neighbor or brother? Is God in them?

God is in all of us, but we are not 'mini-gods'. We are imperfect beings given the gift of free will. Everyone makes mistakes.

It might be better to be mindful of our own actions rather than noticing what others are doing. Peace!

Becoming a Christian should mean an ability to repent if confronted about something clearly wrong. Jesus said to confront first privately, then 1 or 2 more, and then before the church. If there's no repentance, assume they're not a Christian. I see nothing wrong with treating so-called Christians who live without love, as heathens. Christians are known by their love, right?

God is love. Christians are learning to become more like Jesus everyday. Or we should be. We should always be seeking to do the will of God and what is pleasing to HIM. We also need knowledge and understanding in order to do that. We need to be obedient and willing to allow the Holy Spirit to mold and shape our character.God may dwell in them but not as deep as He should be. I takes time to grow into a true christian.

Hold on to your hat: Christians who refuses to grow up such as not walking in love stands a good possibilty of missing heaven. Hold on a little longer. These Christians are walking in the flesh. Stands a grave possibilty of missing heaven.

Because we are sinners Robert and far from perfect.

The truth is so simple and yet so subtle that it is often terrifying to admit (since we often fail to live up to it as Christians). It is all about Love.
We might get our scripture wrong. Get things confused. Might not be 100% sure about our faith. But what God is surely really concerned about, and which only God can really judge, and the only one able to judge whether we are Christians or not - is whether we are channels of His great Love.

Without Love it is all useless.

I agree with what you are saying. Very few people answer these questions with Love, and Humility. Two things that Jesus demonstrated to us over and over again. To many think that their "church" or "denomination" is the one with the direct root to Heaven, but in fact the "Bible" God's WORD is the key. Seeking God's approval, not mans. Jesus did not form denominations, man did. The LORD is very sad the way we are divided, instead of being united in Christ.

#2 So it is with a babe in Christ. It takes growth to have the strength to fight the flesh and the devil. I believe our Father protects His babies from a lot of the things that would come against him, because he is not prepared to handle them yet. I suggest that many "Christians" act the way they do for one of two reasons: #1 they have not grown and have remained babes, or #2 they never received Christ as Savior to begin with.

#1 Is God in them? You may have hit the nail on the head. To be born again, a person must offer Jesus more than mouth service, it is heart service He wants. New believers have not yet developed the art of counting the old man dead. We have to remember that that new Life in them is just a Seed, it has not grown in the knowledge and Truth. A new born baby, in the natural, doesn't have control over much.

Since we are forbidden to judge others, their motives, or spiritual condition (Matthew 7:1), as the Bible also states, this very question is improper.

God is love, there is no fear in love, perfect love casteth out all fear. For God so loved the world ... 1John4:16,17; John 3:16 As to whether God is in them that is between them and God; While we are here in the flesh we are all going to be imperfect. That's why Jesus tells us to each day when we wake up to pick up our cross daily, and follow Him. It's a day to day walk till we go to be with Him. A marathon, not a sprint.
