Some believe that God is pure love and thus is incapable of seeing "sin". Thats a lovely idea. God doesnt see our sin because he can only see our goodness. If the question is just pure speculation, i guess I would rely on "with God nothing is impossible".

Jesus took sin away, sin has been judged through Christ.
There is nothing more to remember.

God does not forget our sins.
He remembers them, so that He can help us avoid them in the future.
When we come to stand before Him, that is when He will "forget" them, and not hold them against us.

The Bible saids that He remembers them no more. I believe that God is far too busy working to get us where we need to be than Him always remembering our past sins. In Reading your question. You don't really believe that we have all the answers, do you? Well, we don't and we won't until we get to heaven. Then we will know as much as God. And we will understand it all by and by.

I don't think God forgets He (does not hold them against us).
If my kid does something and I say I'm going to forget I told you not to do that - it means there won't be any consequences.

The Bible is the written Promise of God. We read in Zephaniah 3:20,I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your Fortunes before your very eyes; What the lambs, and bulls couldn't do in the Old Testament,Our Father offers a better Covenant in the New Testament through Grace.Jesus paid the price at Calvary, and wipes our Sin away Once & for All if we trust and believe.

The word says God remembers them no more which translates "celebrates." If you believe the Bible is inspired by God, then you have to believe that he does not forget or else how would he be able to inspire men to write about sins that happened like with David.

God forgets my sins because He chooses to forget them. God can do that because He is God. And when He saved me, I forgot my past too. In fact, I don't have a past, only a future. "If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; old things have passed away behold all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). The old me died in Christ.

God does your sin like an eraser to a chalkboard.

I truly believe that once saved ,truly saved your sins are wiped away and become non existant ,or as they never existed to begin with. How? God thats how.his grace thru christs work on the cross covers them from Gods sight and makes you acceptable to the father. God SAID i WILL REMEMBER THEM NO MORE. thats good enough for me.

When Scriptures speak of God "remebering our sins no more," it doesn't literally mean that He forgets them, but rather that He doesn't bring them to our charge anymore. God CANNOT forget as we humans, He simply chooses not to mention them anymore.

God has sent his son to make a way for your sins and mine to be covered by the blood of jesus,s finished work on the cross.once filthy God thru jesus now sees you with the covering of christ around you, without sin and pure acceptable to him.Unlike we humans God can forgive and forget.

"I will forget their iniquities and remember their sins no more."

This is the Word of God.

Do you believe it?

Our sins once forgiven are blotted up by the Blood of Jesus and then they are no more. That is how God can forget them.
---Helen_5378 on 8/11/06

It is impossible for us to understand how God can both forgive and forget our sins but, as we are told that, we should accept it joyfully. Can there be any more excellent promise than that our sins are totally forgotten once we have confessed and asked His forgiveness?

Once while witnessing to a 14 year old girl in church she asked me this question. How can God forget, and my answer I will never forget, I just Blaired out God has a divine forgeter. I thought it was very strange that I should use the term divine forgeter.

God does forget our sins because He is God. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He chooses to forgive and forget. They are in the deepest part of the sea.
