Marines Recall Troops To Duty
President Bush has authorized the U.S. Marine Corps to recall 2,500 troops to active duty because there are not enough volunteers returning for duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. In addition, the 2,500 troops isn't a cap. Is this a problem?

I think the problem is our men and women should not be over there anyway. The middle east has been in a war since the beginning of time and they will always be in war whether we are over there or not. We need our troops home.

Mathias, you say this war we are in is God's will for this country--well, how do you then explain Hitler starting the world war he did and murdering 6 million Jews? By your line of reasoning (with all due respect--no insult intended), terrible leaders with all their terrible ways are "God's will"?! Sorry but I just can't understand that one. But God bless ya :)

(USMC RESERVE) Their is a lot of talk about this war good and bad, it seems to be mostly bad which is usually the case when most of the truth is not told. The issue isn't whether this is right or wrong. The issue is that this is God's will for this country and the Middle east. He his ushering us into the end times and this is easily seen in the Bible. So is it a problem that we are at war? No, I believe that God is standing with us in this war and I believe that in him this war will be finished.

I do not like wars, but I think that we need to do whatever is necessary to protect our freedom. The last time we were attacked was on 911 and thank God it has not happend again. My two cents worth is that President Bush and Congress need to do more to stop terrorists in their tracks.

The Presidaent is basically a figurehead. It takes an act of congress to prove anything, like going to war in Iraq. As for being in Iraq, I will just remind you of Pearl Harbor, and September 11. If we just withdrawl our troups, what will keep them from attacking us again? You are dealing with religious fanatics who are willing to die, just to kill Americans.

I read that the moment the US troops handed over a working base to the Iraqi troops, they looted it.

My question is: What ever happened to the Iraqian troops our troops were suppose to be training? My son just got home last week, he said something about this. Why can't they take care of their own country now?

It is a great problem. Our boys should not be over in Iraq at all. The oil is the reason, because of Haliburton.
I feel bad for each of our soldiers and their family members. I told my sons that if there were a draft, I would move to Canada and take them with me.

He is WRONG!!!!!!!!! He should NOT be doing this. Instead, he should be letting our boys come home. They've been fighting long enough. I'm going to diligently start praying about this with groanings!!!!

I believe George Bush is God's man, perhaps not to bless us or to help us but to bring JUDGEMENT on us. Always before the nation has been able to shake itself and rid itself of little men who want to act like Great presidents. This time however the horrendous actions of this man will not be so easily wiped away. This man has muddied forever the great vision that was America.

Part# 1-Yes big problem. This action exposes many other problems, first it shows the fallacy of having a volunteer army. Which in its own unique way is a "mercenary" army. Illustrated by the fact that 99% of the Army is made up of the poor and underprivileged sons of our nation. This action being necessary also shows what "military blunders" can result in.

everyone knows there is a direct connection with Iraq and al Qaida. No matter what the president says, Americans are not ignorant.

I think it's a GREAT problem.
One of the reasons for invading Iraq is the connection between Iraq and Al Quaeda that the Bush administration said existed. At Monday's press conference, in answer to a direct question, Bush said there was NO connection between Iraq and Al Quaeda.
Question: When did Bush lie?
Question: What actually are we doing in Iraq?
