yes, many people need to realize that walking in the spirit is an old world discription meaning in everyday life, or living you should think, act, and talk with the nature of God.

I think what Peter is saying here is we are "Partakers in divine nature." We now have the Spirit of God to lead us. We are now also partakers of the promise to Abraham which is a part of God's divine nature. So, like many other scriptures, there is infinite truth to be found in this scripture.

Mrs. Morgan, Col 1:27 says the mystery is Christ in you. Galatians 2:20 says,I am cricified with Christ,no longer I but Christ. Paul says in Gal,"Christ formed in you". To be partaker of His divine nature, is to be conformed to His image. 2 Cor 3 says,we are being changed from Glory to Glory. 1st John says, we don't know what we will be but we know we will be like Him. We surrender completely through the fellowship of His sufferings,Phil 3 it just happens. All by faith in His precious promises.

partakers of the divine nature means being made into the likeness of Christ. in theological terms it is sanctification, deification, or in some denominations perfection. it doesn't mean we become gods it just means we are restored back into the image of God that was lost in the fall of humankind.

(II.) I have learned that part-time yielding, isn't enough. God need us to yield to Him full-time, so that we can be victorious, through Him. All the trials, I learned from, God strengthens His obedient one's one day at a time, in such a loving way. But the resistant one's, He can't work with that.

It's all about yielding to the Holy Spirit, to God's Truth, denying SELF, some Christians are partakers in Jesus' Divine Nature and some are not, It's all about going to the potter's house, and being broken and molded by the hand of God. When I think about how I use to be(old man galore!), and how much I have grown in the Lord, because I yielded to Him, I can't help but to say, "with God all things are possible"! God is amazing!

Mrs.Morgan.As believers we partake in the very nature of God. Our sharing in God's very nature is another description of the new birth by which we recieve the life of God. We share God's nature in order to conform to God and his holiness(see 1 Cor 6:19-20; Eph 4:24)

Eph 4:24 "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness".

#2 Walking in the Spirit and partaking of that divine nature go hand in hand. The more Spiritual growth we have the more we find ourselves being formed into the image of Christ which in turn reveals that divne nature and our walk in the Spirit.

#1 When we become "born again" that divine nature in the form of Jesus Christ comes to live in our heart. We become partakers of that divine nature by studying the Word of God. Scripture tells us that Jesus is the Word. We have to nourish that new life and as we feed on the Word, that divine nature grows in us and becomes evident to all that know us. Before we were "born again" our home was in the flesh, but afterward, our home moves from the flesh to the Spirit.
