If any man poses as an apostle or Christian teacher and does not teach the true doctrine of Christ the incarnation, the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ,do not receive him or give him entertainment in your home. Do not even bid him God speed.

Which means that he must not be supported, The hope is that he will be starved out of his diabolical mission. John says that even a greeting is too good, for them. Only say "hello" Which was as common back then as our "Hi".

Mima, That last post wasn't from me. If anyone deceptively uses my name I will "speak up", because I hate [deceit], just like Christ hates it.

Mima, this would be a false teacher, false minister, false prophet. I don't accept and give money to any minister that is not preaching God's Pure Truth, period. --Mrs. Morgan.

3 Scrip, Luke 15:2 This man receives sinners and eats with them. Rom 14:20..evil for the man who eats with offense. 1 Cor 5:11..not to keep company with anyone named a brother who is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or drunkard, or an extortioner, not even to eat with such a person.

OOPS! I once offered to serve those guys breakfast as a witness to them after we had them in our home, while we debated over the obvious religion differences. Are we supposed to be rude? I thought we were supposed to minister; please advise me; thanks

These verses apply to everyone who comes to my house bringing another Jesus another gospel. I had a relative come to my house one time and they gave me something that had religious connotations and had most likely been prayed over. I gave it away almost immediately. However I should not have taken it because I was partaking in that person's evil deeds. Had to repent. These verses do apply mainly to the JW's and LDS who come to my door with another gospel -- I am not to take any material from them.

greetings,in the east there were a multitude of religions in jesus' day.those that did not have the Fathers son, jesus (joshua) as a revelation to man are classed as a false religion by those who believe the doctrine was God's law,the golden rule, the royal law and the new commandment.this is a global statement ,not reference to a local division of christianity.
