While the Bible does describe God has having "wings" please do not think that God is merely an angel.

God created us in His Image and Likeness, not the angels.

If God has literal wings so would we.

Jesus said, "See to it you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven." -Matt.18.10.

God himself has wings, the scriptures prove it.

"He will cover you with his pinions." said by David.

Also if you read throughout the bible, when it says the angel of the Lord, and not a angel of the Lord, that is when God presents himself as an Angel himself, Revelations calls him the destroyer, the King over the scorpions. The scorpions are another side of angels. The side helping God with wraith and retribution for tribulation.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares(Hebrews 13:2).(Psalms 34:7)"The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them". God's Obedient children have the angel of the Lord around them at all times.(Hebrews 1:7)(Exodus 23:20)(Daniel 6:21,22)(Judges 6 21,23)(II Kings 6:15,17)(Acts 27:21-24)(Acts 8:26)(Psalms 35:5,6)(Luke 16:20,22) --Mrs. Morgan

In Ps. 91. it talks about "He will give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. Please do not put your focus on angels. It can lead to accepting a deceiving spirit. Many are confussed now because of giving focus and looking for something other than the Holy Spirt. Never talk or comune with any spirit than the Holy Spirit. Stay safe. You do not need to focus on angels. If they are there for our good, great! let them do their work. But leave them alone.

The only thing I have found scripturally is in Acts where Paul is in prison but gets out and knocks on the door of believers. One looks out and says it is his angel. This opens many thoughts. Some feel it was Paul's guardian angel they spoke of. I personally believe they felt it was his theophony body, the one we get when we resurrect from death. So, no there are no firm scriptures on guardian angels. Some believe the "paintings" are real like photos... scairy there.

Sue.#3.If we have an omniscient, omnipotent, all-loving God with us, what does it really matter whether there is a finite angel along side of us or not?
Wither we have a guardian angel or not cant not be answer within scriptures. But God will protect us either way.If we do have guardian angels then Amen!, If not then Amen!. God is more stronger than anything, and he will defend me anytime, anyday, and anywhere!.
Now ask yourself: With a God like that, who needs a Guardian angel?

Sue.#2.In the Old Testament, the nation of Israel had the archangel (Michael) assigned to it (Daniel 10:21; 12:1), but you do not have anywhere in Scripture where it states that an angel was "assigned" to an individual (they were sometimes sent to individuals on different instances but no mention of "permanent" assignment is given).
It cannot be emphatically answered from Scripture whether each believer has a guardian angel assigned to him/her.

Sue.There is no doubt that good angels help protect (Daniel 6:20-23; 2 Kings 6:13-17), reveal information (Acts 7:52-53; Luke 1:11-20), guide (Matthew 1:20-21; Acts 8:26), provide for (Genesis 21-17-20; 1 Kings 19:5-7), and minister to believers in general (Hebrews 1:14). There are so many more instances of these in Scripture.

The question that is difficult to answer is whether each person or each believer has an angel assigned to him/her.

"He will give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways." shows us, as do many other verses in the bible, that God will send His angels when necessary. I don't know of any verse that states that we each have a specific angel guarding us at all times though. Many people believe that we do though.

greetings, for sue,the word guardian is not present in the concordance.the word was coined.the angels recognized by many are the seraphim.they are true guardians, and true to their word.they volunteer assignments to assign themselves to us throughout our lives,to be as guardians.their presence is sometimes seen, but mostly people live unknowingly of them.most fear them for they believe they are evil.they want us to know we are not without their love and assistance to say the least
