This happened to me too. I was into the drinking, and clubbing scene. Once Jesus came into my heart, my life was changed, and once I dropped out of the club scene, my friends left me. I got into a wonderful church, and God brought new friends into my life, ones I know will pray with me, and be there for me. Pray, and ask God for friends, He knows you need them and He'll will send you great ones. But remember Jesus will always be there for you, He will be your greatest friend.

God will give you new friends. Ones that will not leave you because you Love Him.

Do you attend a church now? Do you like the people who attend there? Prov. 18:24 says "A man that hath friends, must show himself friendly"
Strike up a conversation with someone, ask questions, offer to help in a committee or ministry. Sad to say, my own experience has been that Christians can be cliquish. If you run into this problem, have a little chat with the pastor's wife (or the pastor). Either one can help you find a place in the church.

do you not go to church anymore that you have no friends, there are many many friendly people who will gladly invite you home for lunch after the morning service. or do you keep away from the church? Dont ever forget, you wont have friends if you dont go out looking for them. Be kind and helpful to others, God will bless you abundantly in return. Do someone a good turn instead and watch the hand of God work for you.

What is more important to you, friends or eterenal life with God the Father? True friends never leave us no matter what happens or we do. Being excepted in Christ, you have new friends you just have not met yet. Grace and Peace to you.

It happened to me too in 1983 when I got saved. Your new family is the family of God. Find a good church and attend it, get involvd in it. They will become your friends. Also, Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, but a new babe in Christ does need friends. You can email me at I'd be happy to be your friend.

Well rejoice, your testimony of losing "friends" indicates chang in your life. Which would you rather have, the Lord Jesus Christ in your life, or your old friends back?
---mima on 9/3/06

What do you cal us?
You have more friends now than you ever had. You have just not met them yet.
Be careful in your contacts with the "old friends" they will pull you down.
Good churches produce good friends for life.
Every good and perfect gift comes from above. God will provide what you really need.
Trust Matt 6:33.

1 Cor 15:33 Do not be deceived 'Evil company corrupts good habits.' If these friends need to be let go, let them go. Jesus is your best friend and He sticks closer than a brother.

if you do not feel a lose like this something has not really changed in you. It is something that we all do go through. Jesus said, now, I call you my friends. Before we came to Him we were God's enemy and friends with the world. Now, He is our friend. He that would be friends with the world is a enemy of God. Still wittness to old friends, yes! But, come out from among them. You have a new God, now you will make new friends.

Read 1 peter chapter 4. It's a great comfort to those who have become Christians. The Lord is testing you to see if the things of this world and those who you use to run with are more important.
What ever you lose in this life, you will gain 1 million fold. These things are the Riches in Christ. Not the riches of this world. re: popularity, etc.
I know there is a time when the Lord will remove all from you, so you learn to depend on Him, and learn the things He wants to teach you.

You now have more friends than you can imagine.. The family of Christ...Go meet them.
---Lynn on 9/2/06

There is no need to cease contact with your previous friends ... in fact you should do so would mean you lost the opportunity to witness.
