I witness to whom the Holy Spirit puts in my path to witness. We are walking epistles read of all men, so my life also preaches. It's more of what I live, and not what I preach.
---john_paul on 4/4/08

Not until God puts us where He wants us. Now I do witness. Infact all I do all day long is preach outloud. If someone comes along I do not shut up I keep on preaching. I really have to wait for God's words. On the phone sometimes. To an individual lost person there is one everyday. So I am getting some experience. But really people need to know for some of us we have to wait for God and His words. Nothing for you to fear from God's people. Fear God instead. A true prophet waits on God.

a great way for churches to break out of the doldrums is to take a sun. night and go pass out tracts as a church wide event-we like using Chick tracts-they get read! Acts1:8
---doug on 8/3/07

Yes...but not as much as I would like. I do have a tract ministry. Which by the way, is a very good ministry for anyone. Young or old . The Word is shared with another person and the tract does the witnessing. It may be just a piece of paper but the words on that paper is what matters. I also feed the hungry, homeless, volunteer with social organizations(when I can) Hospitals nursing home ministries are a wonderful haven for Christians to witness at.

When I first got saved three years ago, you couldn't stop me from witnessing. I had to tell everybody about my new faith.
---Marcia on 7/27/07

However I was just a babe in Christ and was not aware of the dangers of witnessing with out the armour of Christ(Sheild of faith, breastplate of rigtheousness, and Sword which is the Word etc.). I went to battle most of the times without my Sword. Now I am much wiser and realizing sometime we are called to witness with our actions and sometimes we are called to witness with the WORD. If you are able to discern when it is by actions and when it is by words that's awsome. I would say I witness daily.
---Marcia on 7/27/07

Sometimes at the end of the day when I collect my thoughts and look over all that was accomplished I realize that I witnessed to someone and didn't even realize it. I really don't keep track of how many times I witness unless I go out of my way to do something for someone. I think when we keep track of how many times we witness to someone we can become prideful.
---Marcia on 7/27/07

Absolutely and all the time..I witness all the time and wherever I go..

Since "Christ is my life" and "In Him I live and move and have my being", I talk about Jesus all the time to strangers in the grocery store, to people I work with, to the Postman, to athiests. I share Jesus with everyone. I ask them, "Do you know Jesus." Then say, "Do you want to know Him?" Then I begin to tell them all the spectacular things he can do for them. When you love the Lord, people know it and they begin to love you and the joy you share with them.

2) Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

1) Matthew 12:30"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters." Our very life's are a testimony either for or against God, as well as our words. I have been guilty of this sin of omission. The enemy wishes to destroy our testimony, and complacancy is a deadly weapon. We are in a spiritual battle for lifes. cont...

For things to eat so sweet.

For the love in the other heart.
For life itself, so sweet to me.
For Time, and IFF I forget to Thank U.

R.A., When I am out among others I try to be more open with the word of God, but like many I fall short. The reason for the last two blogs I wrote were because God laid those things on my heart. Something we all need to be thinking about, because Jesus is returning soon, and we need to remain diligent. Live you life as it is literally your last, and remember that spreading the Gospel is a command, not a request, as it was for the apostles.

Donna, God bless you for the evangelistic work if you truly described your commitment...keep it up!

Glory to God who reveals, via His Spirit, the insight and rhema of His word to the foolish and gentle of heart.
---Okebaram on 9/26/06

I don't quite agree with "many of you have great insight to the word of God". I would say many of us are scholarly and analytic, and know the text of the word of God but not necessarily the insight.
As for your question, I do admit that I don't usually find myself discussing these things with unbelievers...but then doctrines are for the church; unbelievers need the basic gospel first. But even in that, I can't say I've been fervent.

I have shared God's word for sometime. But, most recently, I been sharing Jesus. It's a honor and a great blessing. I am also growing in understanding that it is not just sharing God's Word to them, But being as close to Jesus as possible, listening that I may hear what to speak to the person. For healing and a better relationship with Him. To undue the damage -the devil has told them. To hold someone close, touch them, and let them know that someone cares! I work with seniors.

But we are all like an unclean thing. And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us, And have consumed us because of our iniquities. Isaiah 64:6,7 ...flattering speech deceives the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:18

You've asked many thought provoking questions, Dottie. How do you witness outside of ChristiaNet?
---R.A. on 9/26/06

Not like I should be. It makes me feel bad to see the way Paul spent every moment witnessing while I sit at a desk from 9-5.

Many times people don't want to listen, so I end up here.

Not that I consider myself among the wise ones that you spoke of, just that I am one who tries to brings Jesus everywhere he goes.
