No Evangelism In Israel

Why is it that when Christian ministries go to Israel, all they usually do is visit 'holy' sites & focus on politics without evanglelizing & holding crusades to bring salvation to the masses as they do in other nations? (This is an actual complaint from some of the very few saved Israelis)

I know so little about this. A lot of it may have to do with politics. In order for God to save many people these governments are going to have to change their ways. Corruption and such. This is true of all nations. This is a good answer, Jesus.

To take The Truth of The Gospel back to them if some will take heed to receive. It was given
to them First & they rejected it. Down through the yr's some have seen The True Light.

First, some of those that are dead in the grave along with the gentiles will come out.

The rapture, some of the Jewish people today that has received The salvation of God will be raptured along with the gentiles.

I've heard there are more messianic Christians in the world today then totaled throughout history. Partly due to the fact that Christians are genuinely trying to help Israel - whatever their theology.

Instead of killing them - what a wonderful message of salvation they've heard from the Crusades to Hitler- all they know is that when there is a christian they had better duck. whether this is correct or not - Christians have done them dirty and we need to show them love.

From the time and posted this question and today, there has been more testimonies that have come to ligth of Israelite Christians and Messianic jews, of the spreading of the gospel there, by Israelite preachers and via American Christian media. The issue still exists though: Most influencial Christian organizations are still not focusing on Israel's salvation, but rather on politics and holy or historic pilgrimaging (not that there's anything wrong with that)

2) By the way, this I do not believe in "replacement theology" thing is nonsense.
I know many men of God whom I adore who also preach this. The church is Israel's offspring. It didn't replace Israel, True. But, Israel gave birth to it and became it. There is no salvation without Christ. If Jesus came for the "church" not Israel, why did he come to jerusalem. Does it look to you like Jesus' coming was centered around political events?

3) The "every pwerson in Israel will be miraculously automatically saved" doctrine is false. Many will be saved by a revival as will other people of other nations. But even if it were true, what about those dieing now?
---OK on 8/28/07

Oke, I think you need to ask the ministries who do that and go there. We really wouldn't know what their thinking was in doing it this way.

Dear Blogger, I now of several Great men of God who are serving as Missionaries in Israel even as we speak. God is doing a work but it is a slow work. The reason of you not hearing of great masses running to Christ is that many there are still blinded by Pharisiacal Judaeism. I have personally been to Israel and enjoyed the sights. Do you not tae a vacation every onced in a while? God Bless.

Cheri, another blog, why I do not believe in replacement theology.

God will restore the Jewish branches on the olive tree. God has mercy on Israel. In Isa. 10:27, it says the anointing of the Holy Spirit destroys the yokes of unbelief. All things are possible to those who believe. In Zech. 4:6 It is not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. In Rom 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Ezek 3:17-18 & Acts 4:12
Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel...When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning...his blood I will require at your hand.
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Jesus went to the Jew. In Matt. 10:6 He said to the disciples, "Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
---Raine on 11/4/06

In Isa. 11:12
He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah. From the four corners of the earth.
Gen. 12:2,3
I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth chall be blessed.

God has an appointed time to reach Israel. It won't be done by our methods. God has a time set to bring favor to Zion.
Eph. 2:14-16
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and broken down the middle wall of division between us, create in Himself one new man from two, thus making peace, that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross.
---Raine on 11/4/06

Very good point Okebaram, they(the Jews) need Jesus too, they can't get to heaven without Him, but some are preaching a false doctrine that the Jews can be saved without Christ, BEWARE of those, that isn't God's Truth. My minister preaches the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to ALL nations! God Bless!
---Mrs._Morgan on 10/29/06

(II.) Okebaram, Jesus said that His gospel must be preached to All nations and then the end will come(Matthew 24:14) .Our goal at my church is to get to ALL the nation's, like many other Spirit filled ministries ! Many nations get our godly Literature, Bibles, telecast, radio. Every soul is precious and time is short!

Is your statement provable or just wind? Our evangelists are doing their work greatly their altho they are careful what they can do or cannot. They are respectful of the wishes of the Muslims and government. When the Holy Spirit moves one to do something, one dont just stay rooted to the spot. One goes as directed and thats what our people are doing praise God. They have brought many to Christ. Those whom are criticizing, stop and do something for God instead.
---jana on 10/8/06

And what's so great about "crusades"? Jack is correct, the very word is anathema to Muslims. Even if they were allowed, are crusades always the best way to reach people? In some parts of the world they work well. But I'm not sure the volatile Middle east is one of those places. On, the other hand, it would not be unlike some American ministries to choose a "Holy Land" location primarily for purposes of fund raising.
---Donna2277 on 10/7/06

Woaw! I didn't know that caring for the salvation of people is an insult to "them and their love for God."
---Okebaram on 10/5/06

okebaram you have insulted people and their love for God and Jewish people.

You must realize that God created each of us to fulfill a special purpose. If your heart goes out to evangelism then support the ministry, go minister yourself or be silent.

If your argument will constitue a change for the good of the cause of Jesus Christ by all means go and do it. But, don't hurt your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and expect to be supported by them.

Steveng, so you are saying that we should bypass Israel when it comes to witnessing the Gospel, even though many israelites die every year without knowing Christ ...And you defend your ignorance by accusing me of being ignorant.
---Okebaram on 10/2/06

Okebaram: You shouldn't be saddened about what I wrote, but about your arrogance of three things: the Jewish people, the end time events, and about me.
---Steveng on 10/2/06

Steveng, its statement like yours that sadden me. Too many christians forsake the lost souls of Israel with the quote on quote excuse that in the tribulation, they will have 2 witnesses or they will al become saved. First of all, you don't understand God's word concerning those events. Second of all, you disregard Jesus' commandment to love, justifying the allowance of spiritually poor people to go to hell. Sad, indeed.
---Okebaram on 10/1/06

Their time will come when the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation will have their time in Israel.

Obviously, Okebaram, you're not aware of the ancient Christian Churches dating back to Apostolic times in Israel and elsewhere in the Middle East.
---Jack on 9/30/06

Jack, Christian Israelites also emphasize that these ministries don't support the evangelical churches that are already there. Many of them are too concerned about political support and these Israelites said that is not what Israel needs...
