Gordon :: I see you agree with me but did not say so.even small sins when accumulated tend to warp our Holy desires & lead us towards earthly things of this world. There fore the watch word is self Control, WITH THE INGREDIENTS OF lOVE & RESPECT.which puts our feet squarely on the road to perfection. what do you think?
---Emcee on 1/29/08

Emcee, One's name can be erased from the Lamb's Book. If one becomes reprobate. If one turns away from Holiness, and goes back into the filth of a sinful life style. For that is stomping over the Blood of YAHUSHUA. If one knew the LORD, and tasted of His Salvation, but turns away into a life of any kind of sin, then that is telling the LORD that His Salvation means nothing to you. I'm not talking about everyday sins. I'm talking about a WILLFUL TURNING AWAY FOR GOOD from Holiness.
---Gordon on 1/28/08

Gordon ::Can the name be erased from that Lambs Book?Because it is said we will be accountable for our thoughts words & actions.what about those who changed & went Church Hopping?Denied Him?
---Emcee on 1/25/08

Yes, You're name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the World.

---Emcee on 1/23/08

He knows if you will be but that is not to say He will make you be.

Read Psalm 139. God knows everything about us before we were born.
---Helen_5378 on 4/29/07

Catherine::Your post is contradictory & confusing,if God knows who will accept him & who wont& all babies are saved then what was the need for him to die on the cross.Helen clearly states she is saved .How about YOU are you saved too.How do you know?I hope for Salvation & live my life according to His word & teachings. But Am I SURE?only God knows that.I am not in control in that world.but my works here & actions will justify my destiny there.

Jesus said, I knew who will except me from the beginning and that you didn't choose me I chosed you. Yes, God knows everything from the beginning. I do not believe anyone is saved before they are born except ofcourse babies, who never gets a chance to except Christ. If we are saved, before we are born, this would make the cross out to be a lie, a joke, God's blood useless. Also, lets don't forget, we must be forgiven of all our Sins in order to be saved. THE BLOOD is the key. Nothing but the blood.
---catherine on 4/28/07

No we are not saved before we were bornWe have to repent of our sins and follow the plan of salvation
---Betty on 4/28/07

James5375::That was an excellent question& the answers are even more exciting especially Helen, Mima Lisa Lee & Otherswho all believe that they were saved before they were BORN----YET DENY that Mary The IMMACULATE CONCEPTION was not saved & born with sin.Is this Possible Jesus the supreme God saved all these But not His own MOTHER through whom he entered this world as a man!!!Any answers anyone?
---Emcee on 4/27/07

Good question! The bible say's we are predestined. ??? Before John was born he was saved, right? John the Baptist.
---Linda3939 on 4/27/07

God knows everything. He knew me even before I was in my mother's womb. And yes, He knew exactly the moment that He would save me. God has known me forever.

Jack has a good answer, in that God is outside of time itself. What is pass, present, and future, God already knows. He does not choose someone because of forseen loyalty to Him. Paul Himself was chosen that He might know and do the will of God, not because it was foreseen that he would do it, Acts 22:14,15. Paul teaches that love, joy, peace, goodness, faithfulness, self control, etc. are not the meritorious basis of salvation, but rather the fruits of the Spirit" Gal. 5:22,23.

2. The Scriptures declare that fallen man is a captive, a willing slave to sin, and entirely unable to deliver himself from bondage and corruption. He is incapable of understanding, and much less of doing, the things of God. It's what is term "the freedom of slavery" a state in which the person is free only to do the will of his master, which in this case is sin. and such being the case of the depth of his corruption, it is wholly beyond his own power to cleanse himself.

Many are called but few are chosen does not mean people have to make the right decision on their short lives on earth. many are called means that not everyone is called, but many. "but" few are chosen means, that out of all the one's called few will be chosen. If they are chosen it means they didn't choose themselves, someone choose them, and it was God who choose them. Has nothing to do about you making a decision.

3. His only hope of an amendment of life lies accordingly in a change of heart, which change is brought about by the sovereign re-creative power of the Holy Spirit who works when and where and how He pleases. If God chooses those that He wants, and as Jack said, He lives outside of time, He already knows who these people are. The elect.
---lisa on 10/5/06

God knows the beginning from the end. Jesus is Alpha and Omega, the First and Last, The Beginning and End. Jack's post is exactly correct.
What HE knows is one thing.
Predestination is being conformed to His Image. God's will for all who receive His Great GIFT of who so ever will.
Cain and Abel had a choice. God even gave Cain a second chance to do the right thing.
Why would He do that, if it's in the bag so to speak? He's told us His plan of redemption. We either accept it or reject it.
---kathr4453 on 10/5/06

John the Baptist is a perfect example of the sovereignty of God. John the Baptist being filled with the Holy Spirit before he came out of the womb is illustrative of the fact that John did not have a choice in the matter.

Once you are born you must be born again or you will not be saved even if you are John the baptist. John had to have made a choice sometime in his life in order to be saved. I see no evidence or teaching that would lead me to believe that people are saved before they are born.
---john on 10/5/06 the way, this is a fantastic question.
---Ryan on 10/5/06

I love Jack's response, it is so accurate. Our paradigm as temporal beings clouds our ability to understand God. God created all things, time included. God is not subject to his own creation. This concept of the non-existence of time is impossible for our mortal mind to understand. The concept of eternal thinking may only be understood through the Spirit, remember scripture teaches us that the things of the Spirit are nonsense to the flesh and the flesh is in direct opposition to the Spirit.
---Ryan on 10/5/06

Good point Jack.

Great answer, Bruce. Like it.
---Rachel on 10/4/06

Our Father chose us (predestination) before we were born. Once born and in his time he calles us, "Many are called" and FEW CHOOSE.(correct translation) not few are chosen. Remember the people asked to attend the marriage and refused, they like us had and have a choice. Our choice is to follow Yahushua, and his job is to show us the Father. Are we saved before we are born yes. We are saved right up till the time we make our choice. Toby
---Toby on 10/4/06

greetings,if one says God knows then one would think that man is a predestiny creature eventuating without the purposeful need of decision making of good or evil.if one says God does not know then it would be saying God is not omniscient thus man remains in full charge of deciding over good or evil.this is a classic paradox.if we was predestined then there is no need for God or jesus to reveal any thing to is evident that 'no one' knows but the subjects of 'predestiny' we labor not knowing
---earl on 10/4/06

(II.)Many are called but few are choosen, is proof that people must make the right decisions during their short life on earth. Some were anointed in their mother's womb, like John the Baptist, but Brother John still had free choice, and still had to obey God, like everyone else, God is no respecter of persons in regard to obeying His Commandments.

God doesn't predestine one's eternal fate, He leaves that in our hand's to choose between good and evil, the same choice Adam and Eve had. God wants people to serve Him, not as a robot, but because we Love , Honor and Trust Him, putting Him first above all. God Bless.
---Mrs._Morgan on 10/4/06

Of course God knows if you will be saved or not before you are born but HE gives US the Choice.
---H.Lambeth on 10/4/06

The question is based on the assumption that God lives in time and experiences some things as past, some as present, and some as future, same as we do.

This is totally wrong, and will lead to wrong conclusions.

God lives in eternal NOW, and experiences reality as it (which we do not do), so your question is meaningless.
---Jack on 10/4/06

Yes, see Romas Chapter 8 specifically verses 28-34.
