Nobody has posted on this particular blog for almost 12 years. All of the people who posted on this one are long gone. The only one I personally recognize is mima, and his last post on any blog was in 2011.

I have this same argument with Christian folk all the time. Is anyone familiar with a Dr. McBean? Revival Tract Ministries. With scriptures he clearly contradicts the MYTH that a possessed person cannot utter the words JESUS IS LORD. Check out ACTS 16 and 19. If you disagree is it because of righteous concern, or is it for intellectual PRIDE? Even satan and his angels (demons) know who Jesus is. You can say that you accept Christ as your savior, but do you really MEAN it? Many Baptist friends I love disagree with me on that one as I think you gotta MEAN it, not just SAY it. Moreover, it implies your salvation is on the merit of YOUR deeds, not the grace of GOD.

Scripture says no, but a person with demonic strongholds can.

A person with a demon in only their body or mind or both can very well say Jesus is Lord and can even be a Christian(demonic oppression and influence). A person with a demon in control of their soul(will, emotions, desires) is possessed and cannot speak this while the demon is in control and is not a Christian.

No way, no how. a demon can't say that, Satan himself can't say that. Cause' he wants to be Lord of Lords. We know that Satan knows who Jesus is but he won't admit that he is Lord.

Omiston, a person may have a demon in him/her but still use his/her own free will for good and not even know about the demon, so yes in that case. But I see that you are talking about a witch or a demon (speaking through a person). Yes still. But in their minds, they will not be reffering to the "Jesus" you are reffering to. And they cannot say "Jesus Christ is Lord" or "Jesus who died and rose again is Lord" unless it's a witch who is converting.

To Mike; recently while witnessing at a county fair my partner came across a 13 year old girl who could not say Lord Jesus. Both her mother and sister who had prayed with my friend tried to encourage this girl to say Lord Jesus. She could not. Perhaps you've never experienced this Mike, certainly this was the youngest person I ever saw with this problem.

The scripture you are in reference to confuses many people. 1 Cor. 12:3 This scripture teaches that we can only say (or confess) Jesus as our Lord by the Holy Spirit. This is referring to our calling out by faith the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our life. This is not talking about saying the words "Jesus is Lord".

Remember the slave woman who was delivered from her demons? She was talking about Jesus and the disciples. Even Satan knows Jesus is Lord.

The person may not, but the demon can. Even the demons know who Jesus is - and that He is indeed Lord.

They can say anything they want, but remember this: Jesus said, "satan is a liar and the father of lies, so whatever he says is a lie." To mock Jesus, they may say Jesus is Lord, but are they telling the truth? We KNOW Jesus is Lord and we BELIEVE Jesus is Lord, so when a demon says it, does he mean it?
