Galatians 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Galatians 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Yes I do. God, because of the people's rejection of His Son, destroyed Jerusalem forty years after the premeditated murder of His Son. The worse disaster ever to hit a place before and since. God's judgment. Then the city was restored. I believe that it is most important because of John in Revelation 21:22.....God's perfect eternal order of the future. This New Jerusalem is not built by human hands, it is an heavenly city----one built and provided by God Himself [Rev. 21:2].

Not any more important than any other sity n the world.

There are christians in every city not just Jerusalem, and God cares for his people everywhere no matter what city

Israel & Jerusalem, The Nation & Capital of the world. Everything evolves from there.

I believe the New Jarusalem will be the greatest city the world has ever seen. Do not love the things of this world, they will pass away.

I do because it's the Holy City and it's there that Jesus walked and it's there that God chose to place a nation of His people there. It's the Holy City of Jerusalem where God chose to put his people.

Jerusalem was important, but is not anymore important than any other city. Didn't God destroy Jerusalem for being disobedient?

Cheri, God has an everlasting covenant with Israel and Jerusalem that He will not break. I do not believe in replacement theology, that the Church has replaced Israel.

Jerusalem is THE city in my eyes. The 3 major religions emerged- Jews, Christians, & Islam. That is why these 3 have fought over it. Jesus taught there, healed there, crucified there & rose again there. He will also return there. It means the city of Peace & David loved it & God said David was a man after His owns heart wow what a compliment! It is also a pretty city, you smell all kinds of spices, food, color is every where, people selling, children laughing, beautiful flowers & ancient buildings.

Does not your bible speak of a " new Jerusalem coming down " ? I'd say it must be pretty important if God builds a new one for us. marga8388

God loves Jerusalem. God loves Israel. God has an everlasting covenant of love for Jerusalem and Israel that nothing can break.
Rom. 11:28-29
Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

God's covenant love. Hosea 11:1-4,8
When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My son.
I taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by their arms...I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love...I stooped and fed them...
How can I give you up, Ephraim?
How can I hand you over, Israel?...
My heart churns within Me.
My sympathy is stirred.

Yes. The site is most important.

"Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth is mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great king. God is known in her palaces for a refuge" " At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem:"
