A hard question to answer. I would say kinda angry. Especially, if the doctrine is pretty obvious to me that it is false. I get angry.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who suppress the truth in unrighteousness."
..."Because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, and their foolish hearts were darkened."
"Professing to be wise, they became fools"

Propsperity/Word of Faith teachings can fill people with guilt and despair, if they pray for things and don't get them. They are tought to believe that they lack faith, or their lives are full of unconfessed sin. The same is true of doctrines that promote faith healing and refuse doctors and medicines.
Jesus came to lift our burdens, not heap all kinds of new unnecessary imaginary ones on us.

Whenever I come across someone who is being deceived by FALSE TEACHERS I try to show them the truth from an OPEN BIBLE.
If they won't listen to TRUTH, I follow the instructions CHRIST HIMSELF gave in Matthew 10:9-42.

They cannot be ignored. They should be told that what they are saying is false. But this cannot be unfounded accusation. And it cannot come from one person only.
---laure5759 on 2/21/08|
God warned us there would be days like this. False doctrines must be challenged and it is a good exercise for all believers to be able to defend their faith and expose false teachings.

America is a melting pot, I know who I am in Christ I am truly persuaded of my faith and delivered from peoples opinions. We may not always aggree but we can agree to dissagree and respect our rights of freedom of speech and expression. Sometimes the light that we think is light in (some areas) may be darkness. That is why we have to pray and work out our salvation with fear and trembling to be an example.

If it steals your joy, then your not rooted in the Word of God however in so saying, Let us not criticize how others want to belive and worship .. it is not for us to judge. Let us all be one and share, not insult and criticize. Leave that all to the Almighty who will be judging you who is judging others and criticizing ...

Neither. I try not to listen or read or pay attention to false senseless stories. Some people has lost their faith because of them. So stay away from them, if possible. By that, I mean, unless God wants you to confront. Have to obey God. Keep your eyes glued on Him at all times.

Christianity began as a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When it went to Athens, it became a philosophy. When it went to Rome, it became an organization. When it spread throughout Europe, it became a culture. When it came to America, it became a business.

That last sentence of mine needs to say, Yes, we do know if Jesus is in someone's heart. The Holy Spirit is our witness and we do know. It's revealed through the words written here. It's as plain as the nose on your face.

Prosperity/Word Faith. It's difficult for those that have been brainwashed that the Paula White's of the world (who I think has went off the deepend) are the next best thing to sliced bread. Check out their palatial ways of living, if you have the nerve. If you're giving your seed, living in a one bedroom apt., eating canned tuna... Stop in the Name of Jesus. Jesus did not advocate the false prosperity gospel and He doesn't want you to either.

They not only steal your joy, they will steal your very soul if you keep entertaining them.

False doctrine blogs are not encouraging. They are good practice for the days ahead. Tweek your false meters, spot the kooks and sponges that have absorbed so much church junk they're floating like wayward satellites. Some of it is manic, chronic, obsessive behavior that will never be looked at. What's sad is that nutty has now become their normal.
---SugarFree on 4/22/07|
They neither make me stronger nor steal my joy. Knowing the Word of God helps me overlook other peoples shotcomings in most areas. The thing that bothers me is that people who don't know the Word of God/Bible will be taken in by the false doctrines because many times they don't require as greater commitment to God for those who follow them. I don't ignore them, but write the truth with Bible verses to prove they are wrong for the Biblically unlearned.
---Darlene_1 on 4/22/07|
Praise God for those who have discernment to know the difference. What a blessing they are to His Church. We should never be concerned about rebuking what is not of God. Our job is to study and be approved, and when approved, we are called to task. Those who say nothing condone false teaching.
---Ray on 11/3/06|
What is important is not what humans decide about God, but what God decides about humans. It is not up to us to devise our own ways of approaching God. God always sent prophets calling for repentance so that judgment could be avoided. God still gives warnings. We can't know if Jesus is in any heart but our own.
---Raine on 11/2/06|
The Bible says: The Joy of the Lord IS my strength. When you are extremely grounded in the Lord and in the teachings of Jesus,It doesn't steal your joy away at all. What greives your heart is that those who preach and defend a false gospel steal the Word of God away from a baby Christian, or even someone who isn't saved.
But the Joy that gives us strength to go on defending the Gospel only makes us stronger. Hate messages make us stronger. Look how many times Paul was beated and thrown in prision.
---kathr4453 on 11/2/06|
If anyone steals your joy, it is because you let them steal your joy. If you get angry at someone for something that they said, that is your fault for letting them get to you. I am guilty of this, but I am learning to brush people's comments off and go on.

2. Many here are new Christians so they don't know much, others have the word turned around so bad they will argue without knowing how to interpret a passage. Joy comes from God, and even during the loss of one of my children, God's joy carried me through. So no, no one can steal my joy, it comes from God, and I have it in abondeness.
---lisa on 10/30/06|
When false gospels and error are proclaimed, I become much stronger in Jesus as I stand firmly in Him and proclaim the truth.
---Helen_5378 on 10/30/06|
How could a false teacher steal my joy?
My joy comes from the Lord!
The only thing that comes close, is trying to change the mind of someone who is trying to change mine!
Once I understood that it's not up to me to to correct every false teaching I encounter, I use my energy a lot more constructively.
---Donna2277 on 10/30/06|
They wear you out. Yes, I do ignore blogs with the same 3 or 4 people saying the same things, over and over and over. The blogs become so muddled, you can't tell who believes what. It's like they all become one person, with one theme.
---anonymous on 10/30/06|
False doctrines, and those that spread it, still my joy of the Lord? I think not! The joy of the Lord, is my strength(Nehemiah 8:10)! God is moving fast in this final hour many are being pulled out of darkness, many being healed, many being truly blessed with His overcoming anointings. It's very unfruitful to let anything rob one of their joy from the Lord. It's forward , forward , forward, taking the Uncompromised gospel of Christ to all that will HEAR, and RECEIVE It. God Bless!
---Mrs._Morgan on 10/30/06|
No they do not steal my joy! Different ones speak from a solid foundation of scripture and you know what they write will be a blessing.
Others are so entwined in "jargon" that they seem to have lost the message and are more interested in defending the jargon.
Paul had a great attitude in this respect: Phil 1:15-18, "Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerelyBut the other of love, What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice."
There are those who are so very eloquent and yet their words are so empty. Then there are those who's arrogance never ceases to amaze.
Quite a hodge-podge.
