Yes you can ask God for his Favor. He promise in Leviticus 26:9 that he will look favorably over me, bless me with a increase. God is not limited he can do all things but fail. Ask and you shall recieve if you just have faith concerning what you ask for.

Post #2 - to answer the last part of your question, Yes, I believe it is permissable to ask God for special favor. We can ask God anything, doesn't mean we're going to get what we ask for. Jesus asked God, "Why have you forsaken me?" Did God answer Him?

God has graced us a beautiful condo at a much lower than market price than what some church-leaders had paid. He has actively shut out bad biz deals and increased the business that He approves. He is our gracious Protector and Provider. I love Him very much. Press in, ask Him for His favour. He has more than enough to bless all of us with overflow.

To me God don't do favors, it isn't like you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. If I ask God for something and if he does it, than praise God, but if not, then there is a reason. And only God knows the reasons. I have intercessed prayer before like Moses did to the people in the wilderness. But God don't do favors.

Absolutely many times too many times to count. People that do not know God will go to a friend and say can you put a word in for me or can you grant me favor. The results were always good whether it came out my way or not it taught me a lesson. But yes He gave me favor for instanc in a job the other person was older, smarter, had much more experience yet the lady interviewing even said I dont know why but I really like U and offered me the job at the same price quoted to the other w/better qualifications.

"When a man's ways please the Lord, He will make even his enemies to be at peace with him" (Proverbs 16:7). This has been proven to me. Somebody a few years ago that I could have cheerfully screamed at and thrown something at too -- I submitted my will to the Lord, and it was just so hard to do. However, that person is now at peace with me!

I person can pray for anything. But just remember that God is free to answer or not answer any prayer this is not consistent with his preordained plan for you. This also applies to when an answer might occur short time frame or distant time frame.

I believe God did answer Jesus when He asked why He had been forsaken. Silence was the answer. The silence Jesus heard that day was the silence of God in response to the prayer of fallen humanity in Adam. Jesus bearing that silence (brass heaven) is the foundation for "he who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." We have no benefit apart from person of Christ and the provision of the cross.

Yes, definitely. Reason being,He is entitled to give it. The bible says He watches over His word to perform it(Jeremiah 1:12) So when we demand or require of Him something that He has
promised in His word, He has made a covenant to do it.
In John 16:23, the word "ask" means to demand, require, & petition.
We have a right to come boldly to God with out petiton & expect it to be made good.(Hebrews 4:16)

Jabez prayed for favour & God gave it to Him.

I would say yes, I have asked God's favor every time I ask Him to bless the works of my hands, the words I speak in witnessing, etc. That is ok, and is not for me but for His glory. I have asked things with selfish motives that He revealed to me, and praise God when He does not do as I ask, and when He does. He's granted favor even with wrong motive, but always leads into truth. Who can fully comprehend His ways that are so much greater then ours?

mi ma, any favor from God is special . I ask for favor when I go on job interviews and when I got hired, my manager seemed to like giving me bonuses, special kudo's and some really nice perks like award points to spend on Christmas presents.
