Donna, they would probably start a new revolution.

I'd like to meet the writers of the U.S. Constitution. I'd like to get their views on the present state of our government.
---Donna66 on 5/14/09

I dont find it nessecary to meet anyone i would know, however the milkmaid that milked to honour Christ i would like to meet (martin luther mentioned her in one of his thesises)
well one prhistorical person i would like to meet that is Karpov, so he could teach me how to chess.
---Andy on 5/13/09

I would have liked to talk to Baruch Spinoza, who had a better handle on the nature of God than anyone I have ever read.
---JohnnyB on 5/12/09

Genesis 3, I would tell Adam to watch the woman. Though, one, or more, of our ancestors might have taken a bite of that fruit.
Romans 5:18, Philippians 2:3-11, 1Timothy 2:14.
---Glenn on 5/12/09

Donna, sad but true, it's much harder than you think for a man to resist that temptation. Even more so with David because we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was quite fond of the ladies.
---Joe on 5/31/08

Apostle Paul>>>I would love to ask, "What was going through His mind just before those WICKED MEN beheaded him"? Also how much total time did he spend behind prison walls during his ministry? And I would love to ask how he kepted his faith strong during the whippings and stoning? Yes, Apostle Paul he suffered but absolutely not in vain.

I would want to meet King David and ask him, "What were you thinking?" Why, when you had God's favor on your life, when you won every ware, when you could of had anything from God, did you sin against him like you did?"
---Donna9759 on 6/18/07

Mary U are right brothers are the best! They pick on you as kids yet come to your rescue when U need them. I think they are together talking about "sisters"!

Jared, I just wanted to throw in my personal opinion about the theory of evolution.
---Kay on 11/29/06

Kay I was just bringing up the thing about the snake to illistrate that since they are the "newest evolved creature" then wouldn't it have evidence of losing the legs (which it does) wouldn't that show that God took the legs from the snake after creation was complete?
---Jared on 11/28/06

Jared, personally I believe the theory of evolution is a joke. I don't think snakes having hips and shoulders supports the theory of evolution. Actually, snakes do have rudimentary legs, which are used (or believed to be used) as claspers during copulation.
---Kay on 11/28/06

Gen. 3 talks about the discussion between Eve and the serpent. But I don't believe she was alone, since vs 6 applies that Adam was with her. Intresting thing about snakes, in science class I read that of all the reptiles the snake is the newest to evolve, and they actually have hips and shoulders though they are not used. interesting huh. (of course this is evolution and many here wouldn't consider this.)
---Jared on 11/28/06

Mary, Jesus's mother. Or Mary Magdeline.
---sue on 11/27/06

Other than Christ and God himself, I think I would want to meet the Apostle Paul. The apostle to the Gentiles.
---Jerry on 11/27/06

R.A., no one wants to ruin this blog. I was just curious as to where I could find the teaching that Eve was alone in the garden with Satan. It was something new to me. I believe that snakes may have had legs prior to the serpent being cursed to move about on his belly. Anyway, I won't ask anything else about it. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jeanne; I'm soooo sorry about your brother. :( I've found, in my own life anyway, the loss of my brother to be the most painful of all; brothers can be a real gem; I'm real close to my surviving one; hope both our brothers are there cheering us on :)
---Mary on 11/19/06

After writing my last post, I think I need to go buy more tissues!! :*(
---Mary on 11/19/06

The intention of this blog was not for argument with 500 posts that track back around itself.
Do some further study. The serpent was cursed onto his belly after the fall of man. I'm not interested in ruining this blog.

"What was the form of the serpent that entered the garden?"

R.A., don't you mean what was the form of the devil? The form that the devil took was a serpent.

"The devil disguises himself as an angel of light."

But Genesis says that the devil was in the form of a serpent. It doesn't say that he took the form of an angel of light.

"Was his appearance to Eve a clever, seductive man - or a long, cold snake?"

The text says a serpent.

"The devil beguiled Eve. She was tempted alone."

R.A., what about Genesis 3:6? It says that when Eve took the fruit Adam was with her. "..she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband WITH her; and he did eat."

"The devil attacked the weaker vessel, and enticed her with his conversation. That conversation was of 'some' distance from Adam."

Where do you find that Adam was some distance from Eve?
---Kay on 11/19/06

My brother and see if he made it. He loved God was adopted born to an addict and addicted. He overcame this came into money backslid and died with the needle still stuck in his arm when the paramedics came. I wonder if he had time to call out to Christ or if he said forgive me as he did it. I miss him terribly and often speak to Jesus and say I hope he made it when I visit his grave. He died such a young man. We were best friends.

R.A., was he not with her?

David because I love the psalms. Does anyone know where it says in the Bible that David will once again rule after Christ's return?

tommy3007, yes, but not all of us were an anointed and an appointed King of Israel by God Himself. I agree with you, we are all sinners, but not all of us had what David had. David had God's favor from when he was a shepherd boy. He won wars that we haven't won yet, etc., He was a KING of ISRAEL, CHOSEN by GOD HIMSELF and why couldn't he do what Joseph do? RUN!!!! Joseph said, I cannot sin against my God like this and ran from the woman who TRIED to seduce him.
---Donna9759 on 11/13/06

Joe, we all need to crucify our lusts of our flesh. It's hard for women sometimes too. But it's a choice we have to make, to sin against God or to RUN like Joseph ran when he was seduced. There are Godly men out there who can control the lust of their flesh, they are few and far between UNFORTUNATELY!!!
---Donna9759 on 11/13/06

I would like to meet so many but I would like to meet the "disciple that Jesus loved" most say it is John. The reason is what was it about him that made this difference even between the closest followers that he even laid his head so trusting, child like on Jesus's chest.
---Jeanne on 11/11/06

I would love to meet Moses and talk to him about when God parted the Red Sea. That is my favourite Bible story, and God did that so He really truly can do anything. Nobody but God can make water stand up!!

Donna, your answer intrigued me, and caused me to wonder. Why should that question be asked only of King David, when we are all guilty of the same thing, that is, sinning against God when He has blessed us so greatly?
---tommy3007 on 11/11/06

I will meet my adversaries at the Throne, both small and great, and say, "You took".
---Eloy on 11/10/06

Moses would be cool, I'd like to see his glowing/fading face how cool would that be.
---Jared on 11/10/06

My late brother, Bryce; he died 25 years ago and I still love him. And sure wish I could have just one more embrace and one more good laugh with him. We had a lot of laughs before he died. :)

I'd like to meet Moses. I don't have anything particular I'd like to ask him, I would just enjoy sitting and speaking with him. I'd also like to meet Abraham. And I would be tickled pink to meet Paul and discuss many subjects with him.
---Ryan on 11/10/06

deep question, I would like to meet so many people. I'd like to meet the founder of the Friends Church George Fox, but I don't know if he'd be top. I'd like to meet one of the Saints at the council of Nicea because I think we could discribe the Trinity so much better now if we heard the original debates (this is assuming the technology that allows time travel would also allow me to understand ancient Greek)
---Jared on 11/10/06

My son David. I'd like to have the opportunity to just hug him one more time.
---Annie on 11/10/06

Mary Magdeline - because she was with Jesus during his ministry and probably knew a lot more about him. I'd ask her how she felt about Jesus.
