"The mark of the beast is your Social security number, because you can't by or sell without it."-thummun

The Bible says that ONLY those without Jesus will receive the Mark DURING the Tribulation. If our SS number is the Mark then only the lost would have a SS card. Also, we CAN buy and sell without using an SS number. I go shopping all the time without having to use my SS card.
---Kay on 11/12/06

why are you all afraid of the National ID card? it isn't have just been brainwashed to think any form of Id is the MARK but what you forget is History and you forget that the mark is symbolic. 666 is the number of Man 3 times meaning Man thinks of themselves as gods. this mark is already out there and has been for centuries.

Use a search engine and enter National I.D. card and you can read all about it, etc.

The mark of the beast is your Social security number, because you can't by or sell without it.

Never mind Jeanne, I found my answer on CNet. The RFID chip is now smaller than half of a grain of sand.

I've heard of animals being chipped and have even thought about getting my cats chipped, but I'm not sure if I ever really will. Still, I'm amazed that something the size of half of a grain of sand can be used to track, locate and provide information on people, animals and things. Amazing!
---AlwaysOn on 11/11/06

Jeanne, I recently watched a documentary on Google's videos which wasn't on this topic, per se, but it was mentioned. Supposedly, the latest developments have made the chip as small as a grain of sand or the dot of an "i" on the ingredients listing on the back of food products sold in stores. The discussion was of products which have already been sold in stores as an experiment to see if they could be tracked by the manufacuterer. Have you heard of it being even more compact now?

As my 1st blog said in pets its like a grain of rice it could easily be put on the hand or forehead w/out disfiguring us since people are so vain, & read w/a scanner. A traditional "mark" as we have been taught to think could be lasered off, tattooed over, burned off and we are so vain most would not want such a thing- but this is so small U cant see/feel it even if U tried to remove it you would tear apart your hand/forhead looking for this tiny chip and probably still not locate it.

I dont know much human wise about this so I am learning by reading the blogs. A Vet Tech by trade we have been doing this for years so peoples pets (mostly dogs)so they can be found/I.D. if lost especially show, police,or disability dogs since they are worth much but even the common mutt. It is given with a common needle like one you draw blood w/the chip small like a grain of rice-under the skin the animal doesnt even whimper. They used to use Tattoo's but they can be cut off, colored over or lasered.

Remember some 20 years ago there were two books by Mary Relfe in which she said the UPC was the Mark of the Beast?

I realize that feeding end-times paranoia is a fun parlor game in some Christian circles, but Jesus said, "Fear not!"--and this is a command.

Madison, sorry, I gave you the # of the old bill that never made it. It was later passed as a rider on a military spending bill (H.R. 1268) which some believe may be why it didn't get much press.
---AlwaysOn on 11/10/06

Okebaram #1, it's H.R. 1268 aka the Real I.D. Act of 2005. Not allowed to post links here, but the info is available online. CNN gave the most unbiased report on it that I could find. Time magazine also did a cover story on putting chips in cash to create auditing trails for every dollar spent using this technology.

Okebaram #2, The "Verichip" is FDA approved. Procter & Gamble helped develop the technology at MIT and they've already tested tracking it on their personal care products sold in Wal-Mart stores & Tesco stores in the UK. It transmits at distances, even through walls.

The Jacobs family in Florida has already been physically chipped using the same technology as the i.d. cards. Since I can't post it for you, hopefully I've provided enough info for you to verify and research on your own.
---AlwaysOn on 11/10/06

Katherine Albrecht, a Ph.D. candidate at Harvard (and a Christian) has written a book on the technology and its intended uses. Critics believe she's biased to the Christian agenda, but she's found on the web for you to draw your own conclusions.

Elder, lol, the question, never mind, lol.

I'm not here to convince anyone whether or not it's the mark, but I think we owe it to ourselves to be educated and vigilant on our laws and on such technology and its uses.

Me and Bubba took "ol Clem and his wifen woman down to tha place where thems other people give out them there Social Security numbers. We'ns were told that just 'bout everybodys got em.
What was your question?

Every prophesy has a subtle beginning and a powerful end and can be performed naturally, by God, by Satan or by man. Now, many of you will probably ask how an earthquake can be created by man. In the early 1900s, Nikola Tesla invented a devise that emitted very low frequency that shook a New York neighborhood. Scientists use his same experiments to mimic and study earthquakes. whould one of their experiments trigger another earthquake? Small earthquake in the past have triggered larger ones.

i highly doubt that it is nessasary for Christians to resist the id card. the mark of the beast will likely be on people or in people.

i believe these are the end times and the government is using fear of terrorism to establish rule over the people and eventually a new world order. if you do a search for prisonplanet or new world order there is some interesting information on the net about this issue
---tony on 11/10/06

The mark is global, and requires wisdom to discern; don't follow blind guides.
---Tower_Gaurd on 11/10/06

I'd say it's about time...that is what the social security card really is even though it clearly says that it is not to be used for identifcation. A national card is necissary to insure legality of work ect. Yes it will have counterfits but it is best. As for the Mark of the Beast I'm not sure you can prove that one way or the other. the mark is clearly something that is symbolic. that's why it is 666 the number of man 3 times.
---Jared on 11/10/06

I haven't heard about this. Can we have some sort of reference with which to verify such a policy?
---Okebaram on 11/10/06

Locate Church Jobs

Alan, great question. Because the RFID (radio frequeuncy i.d.) technology embedded in the cards, whose use has yet to be clearly defined by Homeland Security, some worry that personal information can be downloaded and services withheld. As it is, we won't be able to access any federal buildings or services without it. Approx. 100 countries already use similar cards.

Madison, my source is House Bill #H.R. 418 or you can search "Real ID Act of 2005". It never made too many headlines.

I have been in Korea for 3 years now and have had an ID card and Believe me, it has to do with being an alien in Korea, not the mark of the beast. Nothing on it talks about religion, only job and home address. The government already has enough info to keep track of us in America. If you have a SS card or drivers liscense they can track you. Worry about getting connected to the Lord, and keeping ALL of HIS COMMANDMENTS, not your government.
---Tricia on 11/10/06

When the US initiated the Social Security program with the ubiquitous SS numbers, there were some people who said that this was the mark of the beast.
