Matthew.#4 The King James Dictionary say the following about the "soul": "The spiritual, rational and immortal substance in man,...that part of man which enables him to think and reason...the understanding; the intellectual principle..."

The ATS dictionary states the following about the "soul": "there is in man a spiritual, reasonable, and immortal soul, the seat of our thoughts, affections, and reasonings.."

Leslie;Rom.6.26 The wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life" Deut.30.19 "I put before you life and death, choose life that you may live" I've always believed that these were our choises, maybe you can show me the scripture that says we have a choice of "heaven or hell".

Yes, Christians & Non-Christians will all face judgement. Those who have accepted Christ into their hearts as Lord & Savior, WILL go to Heaven. Those that have NOT done this, WILL go to Hell.

Good one! On a linier timeline we all leave at different times --- but, because eternity has no timeline --- we all arrive (in heaven) --- together! ---- Try to get you mind around that!

According to the bible we "sleep" until the ressurection(check out book of Daniel last chapter verses 2-3) then Jesus ressurects us & we will dwell with him in Paradise. In the book of Rev there are priests& kings to co-rule with Jesus on the Earth. Scriptures do not lie, man made doctrines leaked over centuries into churches do, back up answers to scriptures, all others are only thoughts.

(A) 1Cr 15:36 You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies;
1Cr 15:37 and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.

I love this verse. It speaks of what is being sown in us right now, but, we must die so it can be put in its proper body.

(B) This seed which God planted within us will be what God forms our new bodies for. He will make our glorified bodies and put this record of us, that is like a grain, into the new bodies, and they will spring to life and we will be awakend from the slumber of death to glorify God WHOOOOO!!! HOOOOO!!!

*If you know Jesus Christ shouldn't you just trust the goodness he has shown by leading you to Peace with God and greater maturity in the Holy Spirit?*

Oh I do Pharisee. Understand this question doesn't come from fear. I am posting on another blog and would like more knowledge on the subject is all.

If you are not saved, you shall go to hell. If you are of the children of Israel when you die your soul & spirit go to Abrahams bosom, until the return of Jesus Christ. This is stated in Luke 16:22-23 and in Rev. 7:3-4. If you are saved when you die, your body remains here on earth and your soul & spirit return to heaven. This is stated in Rev. 7:14-15.

Your body is put in the grave where it will rise no more. Your soul/spirit will accompany you when your final destination will be determined at Judgement. and you will rest soul/spirit in the grave untill Christs return. Those that are above David as he is in the grave Acts 2:25 will be going straight to heaven even before the Saints whom are waiting for their souls to be avenged.

Matthew.#5 The ATS dictionary states the following about death: "Is taken in Scripture, first, for the separation of body and soul, the first death, Genesis 25:11; secondly, for alienation from God, and exposure to his wrath 1 John 3:14, etc.; thirdly, for the second death, that of eternal damnation..."

The Bible states that the "wages of sin is death" (Rom 6:23). Death in its original Greek understanding is "separation of the soul from the body, causing death".

Just know where you are with God through Jesus Christ now and you'll have confidence in the day of his coming as John said.

A freed mind thrives on somehow today seeing the glory of God. Those whose heart's are connected through God's call and the infinite mercy of Jesus are changed at the deepest and so always the Lord's children.

If you know Jesus Christ shouldn't you just trust the goodness he has shown by leading you to Peace with God and greater maturity in the Holy Spirit?

Matthew.#6 Whether you go to heaven or hell after death is your choice. God does not send people to hell because he enjoys it. People send themselves to hell. One goes to heaven or hell after death. They have been false doctrines going around like "soul-sleep".

Soul-sleep is based on a false assumption on the words "sleep", "sleeping" etc. Sleep is sometimes used as a metaphor for the human body at death (dead body and sleeping body looks the same).

Your topic is redundent as allready being covered in the "What Happens At Death" as an a current active topic.

(1.)Matthew, One's soul goes to either Heaven or Hell, when death occurs. Jesus made this very clear when He spoke of the rich man and the poor beggar(Luke 16:19-31). Paul said this:(2 Corinth. 5:8). Soul sleep is not true, some have misunderstood the Scriptures. In regard to judgment, God's redeemed don't have to face judgment for their sins, Jesus died on Cross so that...

Matthew. Physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God. The Greek word for "death" is "thanatas", does not mean non-existence or being unconscious (soul-sleep), it rather, means to be separated.

For the unsaved, death brings to an end the chance to accept Gods gracious offer of salvation. It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

Matthew.#2 Unbelievers soul's go to Hell (GK. Hades)(the abode of the Spirits) (Luke 16:19-31; Mat 16:26; Ps 16:10; etc) is which they stay there until resurrection in which they will then be thrown in the Lake of Fire (Hell Gk. Gehenna) where they will be tormented forever (Rev 20:14; 21:8; 14:9-11).

The believers soul go to heaven upon death. "To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord"(2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; Luke 16:19-31; Rev 6:9; etc).

(3.)Matthew, ....that there is no more [ Blood ]sacrifice for them(Hebrews 10:26,27), godly repentance is needed, or else the soul isnt clean [fit for] God's Heaven, God is [Truth] , therefore we must Abide in His Truth/Word, this is our safety and our confidence, abiding In the Word[ JESUS ] (John 15:1-6). God's obedient children will only face the judgment of [rewards]. I hope this helps. God Bless!

Matthew. #3 Some do not know how to separate the "physical" (body) with the "spiritual" (soul/spirit) so they come up with false conclusion about death (soul-sleep etc).

So real is the promise of the believers resurrection, that the physical death of a Christian is called "sleep" (1 Corinthians 15:51; 1 Thessalonians 5:10). Our bodies will resurrected at the end of days. Our soul/spirit will be united once again with our bodies.
