Are There Rewards In Hell

Will the unsaved person who dies and goes to hell receive a reward for their good works done here on earth? What about the drink of water given to someone in His name. Would the unsaved in hell receive a reward for doing this?

The Bible says that there are NO rewards in Hell, ONLY torture.
---Leslie on 12/8/07

No. Once a person is in hell, their rewards are lost. Because they disobeyed God and rejected him, God isn't going to reward someone for that. The second question, No again.
---Rebecca_D on 1/20/07

I was just trying to make a point. Some believe that you can loose your ETERNAL LIFE and if it is possible to loose ETERNAL LIFE it stands to reason that you can loose your ETERNAL PUNISHMENT. ETERMAL means forever, wheather life or punishment. So you can no more loose your eternal life than you can loose your eternal punishment. I just can't understand how anyone can loose there salvation.

I will WARN you--YOU will HANG your own selves with the help of SATAN.
---CATHERINE on 1/19/07

There are no rewards in hell but since corruption and death are the wages of sin it is safe to say that hell is the reward of a life of sin and disobedience to God. To reject the Son of God is an eternity of torment as worms eat them and flames devour them in darkness seperated from God. Maggots and flames will be their reward.

What is up with all this drug cartel hoopla?
Is the mafia chasing you, do you need help?
Are you holed up somewhere in a hideout, waiting until you make a clean getaway?
Is this real or are demons tormenting you?
---anonymous on 1/18/07

Hell is an act of revenge thru Satanic Agencies like drug cartels. The devils family does not know how to forgive so they afflict God's chosen.
---anonymous on 1/18/07

No rewards in hell. It's pure torture because God is not there. You know how you get comfort from God when you're hurting or depressed? Well, how would you feel if there was no God? Awful. Well, thats hell in my opinion.

The worst part about Hell will be the seperation from our FATHER.
---JIM on 1/18/07

While the concept of rewards in hell cannot be found in scripture, the concept of variying degrees of punishment can be. Luke 12:46-48
---Bruce5656 on 1/18/07

EVEN if you are unsaved and hang out with no one your reward will be HELL. I DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS REWARD thing IN hell ever got started. .
---CATHERINE on 1/18/07

how could u expect to receive a reward from GOD in hell, look into your own question (unsaved, dies, goes to hell) now look at the opposite (saved, lives, goes to heaven)
the reward is where your god is...Shalom
---THE_TRUTH on 1/18/07

It says God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love. In one sense, he won't be unrighteous or forgetful when we have done well. In another, he isn't unrighteous to forget your work and labour if you turn and walk away. The reward of sin is death, hell and maybe his forgetting about what we did when a righteous man turns from his righteousness.
---Frank on 1/18/07

If you are unsaved and hang out with wicked people, then your reward will be to be in hell with your friends! :(
---Pat on 1/17/07

Jack how does this answer"First off, nobody can say he's really saved until he's in heaven, so the whole premise of your question is wrong in dividing people into two classes: saved and unsaved." Stack up alongside 1JOHN 5:13
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." Do you still say we cannot know?
---Mima on 1/17/07

Like what would the reward be....only be burnt to 450 degrees instead of 500 degrees? C'mon there are no rewards in hell...just weeping and gnashing of teeth, and more heat than you can stand.

Leon...LOL....It does seem that many Christians think they can "sew" everybody's problems and don't "sow" the gospel.

There are different levels of punishment in Hell. Matthew 23:14 "..Therefore you will receive greater condemnation". Revelation 20:13 "..And they were judged each one according to his works" speaks of unsaved souls at the Great White Throne Judgment. So the "good works" of an unsaved person will not give them a reward, but a punishment in everlasting Hell.

mima, if someone ends up in hell its because they have not accepted are either saved or lost.the saved will be rewarded for their works done in jesus in heaven at the judgement seat of christ, the lost will be judged at the great white throne judgement, the lost will get no reward only judgement.
---tom2 on 1/16/07

I don't know where this is in the Bible but I believe it says something about losing all credit for good works if we turn the other way.
I also believe that it says that there are rewards for the wicked, but these are not good rewards, but bad rewards.
Can someone who knows scripture (only the Bible, please and without the added books), help with the truth of this. I believe that I'm right on this but the truth will tell for sure. This is a very good question and we need the right answer. HELP!

Herb, "There is that possibablity of losing your eternal punishment since some can lose there eternal life." Are you saying that some might go to Heaven then be banished from there later? If so, where do you read this is scripture?

No!!! Your works will be burned anyway. Your reward will be eternal judgement. Of course that does not mean you will stay there forever. There is that possibablity of loosing your eternal punishment since some can loose there eternal life.
---Rev_Herb on 1/16/07

Mima: Is Hell a place of rewards (blessings)?

As sure as there are degrees of rewards for God's faithful (saved children) in Heaven, I believe there are degrees of torment for lost souls in Hell. God is just! I don't believe He has reserved the same degree of punishment for morally "good persons" who rejected salvation in Jesus Christ versus psychopathic serial killers or reprobate mass murderers like Nero, Adolph Hitler, etc.

We all individually reap what we sew! (Gal. 6:7-8)
---Leon on 1/16/07

Mima, who do you think might be giving out such rewards? There will be a vast gulf between Heaven and hell. Jesus will be in one, Satan in the other. Why should Satan wish to give out rewards to those who seemed partially to do God's work? Sorry I'm answering a question with questions. The answer to your question is definitely NO.
---m.p.a. on 1/16/07

NOPE!!! Fire is the only reward in Hell!
