Why would you need to do this to begin with? Our job is to keep our eyes upon Jesus our Savior, and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world, if we do this, how do we have time to do the other?

Ya know that's just the thing, one can only be a Christian as far as God's mercy can reach.

How much sin is too much sin when no one can ever completely eradicate sin in his life?

Each person will be accountable for what God has revealed to them, I like to think we have a God so in control of this process that he'll not let us slip below what he expects of us personally after we are saved.

How far does that mercy reach?

YOu will know them by their fruits. The first thing I seem to notice is wheather they are of a humble nature or are proud and next to that and right along with it is if they are able to love or if they seem FULL OF THEMSELVES. The other fruits are also apparent but if there is no sign of love in its purest sence then they are decieved and need your prayers:)

#-1- Recently my friend was witnessing to the man that he believed was lost. How ever the man insisted that he was a Christian. And so my friend asked him the you want me to prove to you that you're a Christian? Now, somewhat startled the man said yes prove it to me. Whereupon, my friend began to witness to him again and finally arrived at the place for a sinners prayer to be said. My friend led the man in a sinners prayer!!

#-2- immediately after saying the sinner's prayer the man's countenance begin to change and then a smile broke across the man's face, he began to shout and got very happy. At which time he said to my friend, oh Thank you Thank you thank you------- Lord Jesus Christ had saved another person!!!

I have a neighbor like this. It is frustrating. Bc I don't want to judge or offend. i have tried to get them to bible studies with me etc but no luck.

Sometimes just asking will help, but some people will say they are Christians when they really are not. I would look for subtle kindness, slow to anger, not using foul language, regular chuch attendance, and prayer. But none of these things mean they are Christian either. I think though, once you have spent enough time with someone, you will know.

Share the gospel with them. Pray they will heed your words and leave the rest up to the Lord. We are not the Judge. That is hard to do when it is a loved one or a good friend but we must learn to do it or we will wind up losing our soul for judging them and wearing ourselves out trying to get them to come round. Been there, done that.Still have not completely learned my lessons on this.It ain' easy. I mean ain't not isn't.Love

By their fruit you shall know them. Beware however how we judge others. We are ALL "work in progress" and are all at different stages of development. Pray for the person you are concerned about and the Lord will lead you into how to approach them if you need to.

I would like to kill two birds with one stone. ===ten commandments- Do we destroy the law by our faith? Not at all. We make it even more powerful. and what is a christian? A great giver because God is. Puts God first, CONVERSATION, God centered. Humility. testimonies. What was it like when you were lost. What is your spiritual gifts, are you using them [motives] You cannot tell by looking.

True repentance, good works, thanksgiving, righteousness, regard for the law (10 Commandments), desire to evangelize, and the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control). You MUST have: obedience for 10 Commandments, love others, practice righteousness (1 John 2:3-11, 2:28-29, 3:1-9, 4:7-8). These you MUST have to be a TRUE Christian.

If we truly believe in hell and salvation then the idea of our friends and family going there should be heart wrenching. Enough so to tell them.

Jim note the word CONTINUOUSLY. I won't talk about spiritual topics if I'm watching a game on TV or if I'm having lunch with friends.

Man does not live by bread alone.

If there a different person in the church and outside of the church. I know some people whom acted like Christians in the church but when I see them at a shopping center, they are anything but Christians. I look for the fruit that they bare. You can ask, but anyone can lie. But the fruit they bare doesn't lie.

Caring said:
*S/he who speaks continuously about God and Jesus and miracles to me is considered a fantatic or a hypocrite.
Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
You can always tell if the Light of Christ shines in them.

True Christians live a "normal" life without trying to impress others how much they "love" God.

A true Christian speaks about his/her family, about football, nice tv shows and of course, at times even about spiritual matters.

S/he who speaks continuously about God and Jesus and miracles to me is considered a fantatic or a hypocrite.

I may be wrong but plan to continue believing so.

We cannot judge whether a person is really a Christian. Only God can judge us. A Christian attends a fellowship as God created social human beings to be in a family and fellowship. We join the bible studies, prayer meetings and cooperate with other church activities. Man was created to worship God and should live according to His Word. We should be Christlike and because we are still in this Planet Earth, we are not perfect so we still have weaknesses Christians should abide in His Word. agnea6677

This is the hour of God's mercy and his mercy goes beyond all comprehension by that puny human mind that we possess. This is one of the things that we will be praising God for through all eternity. O the mercies of God. Father we thank you for the Son. Jesus we thank you for what you have done. Today mercy flows freely but the curtain will suddenly fall on mercy one day ,that day, the day of the Lord.

Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. The fruit of the spirit is in Gal.5:22. Love, joy peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. meekness, and temperance.
It doesn't say how much fruit so you still won't know for sure.

In first Corinthians 12:3 we find the secret." Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that NO MAN CAN SAY THAT JESUS IS LORD BUT BY THE HOLY GHOST." So you see all we have to do is listen to what they say.
