Pray For His Soul

My sister's father-n-law is in ICU. He has COPD and his organs are failing. I know he needs healing but most of all he needs saved. If get gets saved, he will be a winner either way. Please pray for his soul.

DEAR Rebecca:-Jesus says "Come to me ALL who are laboured and burdened and I will refresh You" His love is so compassionate and this He asks us to share with each other, as in His accord in your entreaty about your FIL.We should not transalate being saved as our determination.B/C what is on the surface is different to what Jesus sees.Just Pray Hold His Hand and let the elixir of your love flow which will be the turning Point in his final destination. It will also bring you solace as in the final outcome. But remember "HIS WILL. Must be done. God Bless you in your endeavour of Prayer and compassion.

If he was a good man during his life-time, he is already saved, and if he was evil during his lifetime, he is already damned. Unless he makes a recovery, the time has passed and he has lived his life, and now he will go to the mercy of God and the Judgement of Jesus. Good people do not go to Hell.

Could you give his first name? That's what heavenly records are kept under.

Hi Rebecca; I'll pray. I'm just really sorry your family is going through this; been there myself and it's awful! :( I will pray; keep us in touch and God bless, my dear.

Count our family in Rebecca, we are praying for the life and soul of this man. May the precious Lord bring healing to his body and soul. GBY.
Dear one, post this also on the "Prayer Blog."

He moved out of ICU and in his own room. (the same room my mom was in when she was sick). He had two strokes yesterday, so they are keeping a closer eye on him. He is talking out of his head. Keep on praying for the family. His wife refuses to leave his side, which I don't blame her. I stayed at the hospital with mom. As far as I know he still needs saved. Pray mostly for his soul.

Rebecca, came to see how you are, and your sisters father-in-law. Bless you.
---Christina on 2/24/07

Donna; I don't know if God is convicting him or not. Yeah, God has to convict a person of their sins before they can be born again. That is what the bible says. Christana: I know God is in control, but God can't save someone if they don't want to be saved. And even if God is covicting him, it is still his chose to ask God to forgive him.
---Rebecca_D on 2/21/07

Rebecca, you expressed concern that if he prays a sinners prayer but God is not convicting him he would still be lost...God is in control, rest in that assurance and that HIS love is greater then ours, and He is able. He softens heart, and He alone knows the heart of a man. He saves even in the 11th hour. His mercy triumphs over judgement. Be still and Know that He is God. Bless you, you are not alone.
---Christina on 2/21/07

Rebecca, you said: but if God isn't convicting him then he can pray or repeat after me all he wants and still die lost.

Can I ask you please HOW do you know if God is or isn't convicting him? I wasn't aware that we are supposed to figure that part out when we ask someone if they want to pray. My Uncle was an athiest, yet on his dying bed, he held my hand and we prayed together.

I got news from my sister and one of his kidney's is 50% blocked, but the DR said at his age (around 60) it is normal. But he is doing better, he ate another bowl of Potatoe soup :) The main thing the DR is worried about now is his mailnurtrion. He had a feeding tube in, and as long as he eats, they won't have to put it back in. thank you guys so much for praying.

Some people consider this an internet community. Your reliable prayer partners are in your own church. Where two or more are gathered---There are some who make a public display but you don't really know if they are giving you lip service. There are some who will pray without letting you know. And there are some who need prayers constantly, but are too defensive to reach out to others.

I know it brings comfort to see responses, as well as know that others are praying with and for you.
You, and your family are in my prayers.

PS, I love potato soup, I can understand him finding the strength to eat a bowl:).

Rebecca- I'm sorry..I missed this post. Actually I dont come on here every day. But the important thing is: I will pray right now for this man. God bless you too.
---sue on 2/20/07

Rebecca...Just because we do not respond does not mean that we are not praying. I pray for each and every person who needs salvation, including your sister's father-in-law. I'm sorry it was upsetting to you not to get replies. This is a very hard time for your family. We will be praying for all of your family.
---Susie on 2/20/07

Donna: I know you mean well from the bottom of your heart, but if God isn't convicting him then he can pray or repeat after me all he wants and still die lost. I am praying from a distance, no one is allowed in the room but immendiant family, and they take turns. I stopped by at the hosptial today and he did eat a huge bowl of Potatoe soup, so that is a blessing right there.

#1 of 2 Rebecca, when I see a prayer request here, I write it in my journal/copybook that I keep with all of the prayer requests I get. Then I lay my hands on them at night and in the morning during my prayer times, and I pray for them then. Sometimes I don't tell people on here, "I'm praying for you," and I sincerely apologize for that. To be continued in next blog.
---donna6598 on 2/20/07

Rebecca, I understand your frustration, but I wanted to offer you encouragement for when replies are lacking. Although I responded here, often I see prayer requests and, while I don't comment, I do pray. My reasoning varies from my sentiments having already been shared by someone else to not wanting to draw attention to the fact that "I'm praying", but in just doing what I'm led to do in silence and without fanfare. I'm confident that others are praying with you too...even if they never say so.

Rebecca, when my mother came down with her disease, I called a Pastor and he came out and prayed for her and gave her communion. That's one suggestion. Secondly, if he can still speak, I would ask him if he can please say this prayer and repeat after you...and then lead him into the sinners prayer. If he doesn't want to pray, then you pray right there in his presence for him. We will be interceding for him as you requested. My heart goes out to you and I will be praying/interceding.
---donna6598 on 2/20/07

Why is it that when one asks for prayer there are only a few responses, and when one asks a question about anything else there are oodles of replies? Where is people's heart at? It is just confusing to me. I pray for all (at least try to) and if one asks for prayer on this blog, I at least respond.

Rebecca, I do pray for your sister's father-in-law's healing AND for his soul. As well, I pray His strength, peace and encouragement for the whole family during this difficult time.

Jack said: Could you give his first name? That's what heavenly records are kept under.

Hi Jack,

Which scripture tells what name Heavenly records are kept under? I don't mean to take the blog off track, but I really am curious. Thank you.

Rebecca_D , Your sister's father-n-law is covered in prayer, make sure the saving Word/Jesus is wispered in his ears, because ONLY the Word/Jesus [saves]. Tell him how Jesus loves him and that ONLY He can forgive sin and CLEANSE a person [inside and out]. God Bless!
---Mrs._Morgan on 2/19/07

Rebecca, May the God of all comfort be with you and all those involved in this, may you be drawn closer to Him, that He may work through you as He wills, may He envelop this man, In need of Him, and makeHimself known to him as savior God. He is near to those who are broken hearted. Bless you all.
---Christina on 2/19/07

His name is Bill. This hits home. Because my mom died of COPD. And it brings back so many memories.
