I don't think I will ever live holy enough to buy my ticket or to keep my ticket. I never got my ticket because I was holy, did you?
So, I think I'll do the best I can and by faith rely only on Jesus' holiness and His righteousness imputed to me. I'm in because of Him, not me.

holy living is leaving the things of the world behind and seeking to please the lord in all you say and do.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen peoople, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you 3:14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Matthew, you are God's son and you never have to get that down again because the Joy of the Lord can become your strength and you can have Joy Unspeakable like it says in 1st Peter. Do a study on the word Joy. Start with what Jesus said about Joy. Write all of the scriptures in a notebook. Speak them over your life every day until they become Spirit and Life to you. The devil will try to steal your joy, but once it's rooted and grounded inside of your being, he won't be able to knock you down anymore.

*He's awesome, very loving, very compassionate and very giving of Himself.*

Amen. I have also been witness to his love, power and mercy. Since I have become a Christian it is in my biggest moments of weakness and torment that God has decided to reveal Himself the most. His love and compassion is great. He likes to wait though until I am so down before he pulls me back up. It is then then I truly SEE him. His love and power. It's amazing how he can turn things around for you in a blink of an eye.

Janice, being saved is NOT buying your ticket to anything. You must live a life unto God, a life where you make choices NOT to sin anymore deliberately. You must honor God through Praise and Worship. If you don't obey His word and do His will, you will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Read the Gospels. You apparently don't really know Father God, if you did, you'd fall in love with Him and want to live for Him, He's awesome, very loving, very compassionate and very giving of Himself.

Living a holy life that is acceptable to God. Honoring the Lord in all that you do.

In Revelation 15:4 we can see who is holy."Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? FOR THOU ONLY ART HOLY : for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest." Therefore if we are to live holy we must have Jesus dwelling inside. ---Yes it is better just to be saved, than not to be saved.

I believe that we as believers should live upright before Him. We should not be mixed with the world. Now I'm not saying not to speak or talk to non christians. But as Holy people we should show a different.Every person has their own conviction when it comes to how they should live. Ultimately we should do our best to live a saved and Holy life before God.Because people watch us,especially when we say we are saved. Anybody can say they are a christian. But we will know them by their fruits.
