They mean things that will or may have happened to let the true Charistans know just how close we are to Jesus' return to earth where He will set up His kingdom. .Right now Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God (Jehovah) KJV. The great war that is to happen in the near future, the rebuilding of the temple, 666 setting up his government, the EU. All is coming together quickly.God gave His son Jesus. he did not give himself. They sit next to oneanother in Heaven..Correct.

We are waiting on the 3rd "abomination of desolation". Term often used to describe Israel's sin of bringing practices of pagan worship into God's Holy Temple. The first and second abominations of desolations have already taken place. The 3rd is happening as we speak.
---Kristina on 8/14/07

By the Dark Ages, the Roman Catholic Church had accepted many, many pagan doctrines. I believe we are to practice ONLY things found in the Bible. The Catholic church has its own rules, and they have changed all kind of things: use of temples dedicated to particular saints, holy water, the ring in marriage, turning to the East, images, changing the Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday (which they openly admit to doing)-just to name a few. All of these are of pagan origin.
---Kristina on 8/14/07

Just as it says in Daniel 7:25 "he will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and he will think to change times and laws". This massive misconception is the devil's doings. While the world is obsessing over NUMBERS, the devil is moving stealthily in for the kill.
---Kristina on 8/14/07

If you are able to interpret prophesy, and take a little look into history, there are 10 points in the Bible that identify the beast-nation as being indisputably the Medieval Roman Church.
---Kristina on 8/14/07

And no offence to anyone, but I believe that the antichrist is not actually one man, but is the Papacy. I am not saying that if you are Catholic, that you are the beast or have the mark. It is the unbiblical system of worship and the political structure that this prophecy focusses on.
---Kristina on 8/14/07

Jesus gave specific signs to look for before His second coming, and although no one knows the exact time, we can no by the signs listed in 3 of the 4 gospels that is coming again is soon. At least soon by Gods timetable. First thing is He returns for his bride, 'the church', or 'those he chooses'. Once that happens then the "man of lawlessness" or antichrist appears, as mentioned in the two books to Thessilonica.

(contd) The AntiChrist comes into the picture because he, working by the power of satan, seeks all men to worship him and not God. So, at the time of the end, his (satan's) activities are well pronounced on the earth. He is judged, with his followers at the coming of Christ. I John 2:18, 2:22, 4:3, 2 John 1:7, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Revelation 13:11-18, 14:6-12, 15:1-4,
16:1-7, 19:11-21, 20:1-10.

In Matthew 24, Jesus gives us what we call "signs of the end times" ['time of the end' is the Biblical term - Daniel 8:17,19; 11:27,35,40; 12:4,9]. They are events (spiritually and politically) that become prevalent and bring about the end of man's rule and the reign of Christ Jesus over the Kingdoms of the earth (Revelation 11:15, 20:6) in "the Day of the LORD" (Acts 2:20, I Corinthians 1:8; 5:5, 2 Cor 1:14, I Thessalonians 5:2).

I would love to offer you some resources to help you, but it seems web addresses are forbidden. I suggest you start prayerfully reading the scripture--Matthew 24, 1&2 Thessalonians, Revelation and Daniel in particular. The Holy Spirit is your best resource anyway.

I read the scriptures. But I don't see anywhere where we are to WORRY about the END. But we should serve under the grace of God. I would also like to say that we have been living in a culture that looks at LEFT BEHIND as being the gospel truth about the End, and frankly Dispensationalism is the most unchristian eschatology I have seen. When did it start? IN the 18th Century it is the newest thought not the oldest. and it reads into scriptures instead of looking at it as how it is written.

Jared, I believe having a "It's all gonna pan out" attitude is an irresponsible posture to take when the Lord has given us over 100 chapters in the OT and NT concerning End-Times. Yes, our God is sovereign and we take comfort in that. But so also has He given us the dignity as His image bearers to choose, with a free will, how we will steward Truth He has given us. With over 100 chapters throughout the Bible, and books like Revalation and Daniel, it's our GLORY to peer into the Last Days.

Well put Jana, it the real issue is spreading the gospel not necessarily worrying about the end. as long as the message of the gospel doesn't change it doesn't matter. We will never know the end, and it is really not the issue God is in control and we should continue to minister until that day. As far as I'm concerned I will spend the rest of my life doing that and so will every other minister of Christ.

many preachers put all their life into God's work and belive they are God called, fearing or ordained servants..whom are we to judge God's servants? whom are we indeed. these servants has spent a whole life time passionately doing the work..why not give them a break and thank God for the work they do around the community.

I don't believe there are many God called preachers today. But God fearing preachers, I love that concept.
---catherine on 4/28/07

Biblical end time messages can only be preached by God fearing pastors who walks with God everyday and we have many of them today in all denominations. They are God ordained preachers so do respect them. We know when they preach truth and error when we compare their messages with the Word of God. Dont down trod them.

In the book of John we are told there will be MANY anti-Christs. The most horrible of all was Nero.
I have been reading The Apocalypse Code by Hanegraaff and it has helped me understand End Times. You may not like some of it, but Christians need to know what to pray for.

Keith, if you havent got sky angel satelite tv, get one. On 3abn or the Hope tv, you will learn of the end time messages, 10 commandments etc with Doug Batchelor, Steven Bohr, John Carter etc TBN is on skyangel as well..I enjoy listening to Charles Stanley..they are not all as u so say..these are God ordained people brother.
---jana on 4/12/07

The majority of Christians do not understand eschotology (study of end times) because they usually start with errant information (dipensational premillenialism). The waters are very muddied by false teachers like one sees on TBN. The Bible does speak for itself on the subject if one allows it to. Truth is, there is no one-world future leader known as the Anti-Christ. The teaching is foreign to scripture.

Rev: You seem very sincere. Have you considered Spiritual appications of those prophecies? You make the world connection ..."An army called the Kings of the East will march... "

Ever thought the "Kings of the East" might be the Kings Coming in the Clouds of Heaven with Jesus from the Eastern Sky? How does Sripture define these and other symbols?

Not picking just asking you consider, Why "Rev"? Isn't that short for "Reverence".

An army called "the Kings of the East" will march into the Middle East at the battle of Armageddon and have the Euphrates river dry-up before them. Rev. 16:12
Dams built in the 1970"s have given Turkey the ability to dry-up the Euphrates. In 1990 they stopped the river for a month to fill a reservoir. Now you can see why Turkey must be part of the Islamic make way for the three different attack routes the Russians and Arabs will utilize in their Magog attack on Israel.

Lorra: "Very few understand the signs of the end times,..."

Christians DON'T need to "understand" the end times. When you take a long trip, you depend on signs to get you to where you want to go. Each prophetic event is the sign. The signs of travelling is geographic, the signs of prophesy it time.

God says not to worry about what is happening around you. He promised to protect you. Put on the armor of God now for the time is at hand.
---Steveng on 3/10/07

When you see all the prophetic things taking place, scripture instructs us to, "Look up, for your redemption draws nigh". In other words, "Look up to heaven, because Christ our Salvation is coming to carry us away." Please read Luke 21:25-36; II Thessalonians 2:1-12.

All of us have pre-conceived notions about what is going to happen. Truth be told; much of the thought on the subject is simplistic. It is a very complicated subject. If you are able to clear your mind of the cludder that bombards us and focus on what God says, you have accomplished a great and rare thing. The things that have apparently easy answers will most of the time lead you astray. Learn to ask questions well.

Deputy: Don't confuse the Times of the Gentiles with the fullness of the Gentiles.
The Fullness is in Romans 11. In that same chapter when the Gentiles have come in, then things will turn back to the Jews, and all Israel will be saved...scripture says. Read Isaiah 14, and tell me when exactly that has happened? It is yet to be fulfilled. The Time when Gentile world power, Babylon ECT is destroyed and collapses is Isaiah 14.

Very few understand the signs of the end times, even if it sounds as if they might, and even if they think that they do. But truth has it right, it does not matter when the end comes, what is important is our own end and our ultimate destination - in the RCC is is called the four last things - Death, Judgement, Heaven or Hell.

For whoever 'Truth' is!

With ALL respect, your comments are ignorant! Why? Because Jesus Christ had a conversation with the Apostles about his RETURN and the 'End of the Age'!
[MATTHEW 24] v.3 "..Tell us," they said "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of YOUR COMING and of the END of the AGE?"
This without a doubt establishes that Christ wanted Christians in the future to be ready for coming events!
Also found in Mark 13 & Luke 21!
---DePuTy on 3/8/07

What does the signs of the endtime mean? It's a showing of events in the Bible leading to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
How does that relate to the appearance of the antichrist? One of these events/prophecies is the third building of the temple on the temple mount, and the antichrist placing himself there and proclaiming to be God.(second thessalonians 2:3-4 kjv)

Kimberlyn, Just the other day I was thinking about what you just said, I was thinking how my kids will never see the simplicity of life that we once did. People used to be so loving and kind in church, today in churches people are at one anothers throats, the devil is sewing discord, hatred, disrespect, even cuttings, which was not a part of our day, reminds me of the man of Gadarra, oozing with demon posession, The Bible even said "MY" PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR THEIR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.

I am studying deeply into end day events. I have read that Gods 'aresenal' of weapons are natural ie storms, floods, droughts. I also believe the major natural sign that his return is imminant will be an asteroid strike in the ocean causing a massive tidal wave. Things will be terrible in all areas of life, but God WILL protect his people, and we need to focus and worry more about our relationship with him than when he will come.

God gave us many clues to let us know his RETURN would be near! The main clues are found in the Nation of Israel!
The Jewish people lost their Land thousands of years Ago because of their disobedience to God!
(Ezekiel 20:23) "With uplifted hand I swore to them in the desert that I would disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries."
The Kingdom of Israel was destroyed by the Assyrians (740-722 b.c.) and it's people were carried off into PERMANENT Exile.

Ezekiel 36:24 "For I will take you out of the Nations; I will gather you from ALL the countries and bring you back into your own land."
In May 14, 1948 the State of Israel was proclaimed. This is not a co-incidence because the Jewish people lost their Land thousands of years ago!

Jesus Christ speaking to the Apostles about the 'End of the Age' said "Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

In the 1960's, Israel RECAPTURED 'Old Jerusalem' during the six day war with the Arab Nations. (The times of the Gentiles was fulfilled)

God works in 'sevens' as we learn through out the Bible. 2 Peter 3:8 "With the Lord a day is as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day."
From Adam/Eve to Noah/Flood-2 thousands years passed. From Noah to Christ-2 thousand years passed. From Christ to Now-2007 years have passed! 6 days in the sight of God have passed! All we are waiting for is the Return of Christ and his thousand year reign (Revelation 20).
This also means the Antichrist time is near!

The signs mean that Jesus is coming back really soon. No one knows when, but Jesus said he would be like a theif in the night. The Antichrist will rise up making many people believe that he is Jesus and many will follow taking the mark of the beast. The book of Daniel ties into the Revelation. But in the Old Testament, there are alot of prophecies about Jesus coming back.

i am 48 years old and have never seen the world in such a state as it is now. even the state some christians are in. we have become so intolerent, judgemental, merciless, lovers of money and pleasure. nothing you hear in the news is shocking anymore. since 9-11 people live in fear. Satan has unleashed a war on our children, all types of abuse, abductions. who else would he like to destroy the most but- god's precious ones. this convinces me the most that jesus is coming soon. kimberlynn9854
