I was born/raised in New York (Long Island), moved to Miami, Florida at around 19, lived there for 24 yrs, then God moved me to the mountains of Western North Carolina, where I lived for 3 1/2 yrs (loved it!) and then God moved me to San Diego, California 3 1/2 years ago, which is where I live today. Sure do miss North Carolina though....just love the down home, southern hospitality of the people there and miss my church family there. Oh yes and did I mention the mountains and the waterfalls??? Love it!

The Great Smoky Mountains. I have a cabin with a large front porch with the sweet smell of spruce, fur, beech and birch trees...Nothing like having your kin folk over for a good old singalong on a Saturday evening. Fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, cello - bluegrass music and watching the full moon rise over the trees. Barbeque and good company.

If you believe that one, I have some oceanfront property in Arizona. For some reason, I don't believe a word Andrea and friends are telling us.

Hello everyone, I live in a somewhat small town in Suffolk Virginia. I was born here, and so were my kids. I live in a three bedroom house(big enough for my husband and I since the kid's left to go out on their own). I have one cat named booboo, he is going on 10 years old, moving slow like all of us as we age. Love to read and write as well as into healthy living. The most important thing in my life is My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I love Him with all my heart, mind, soul and spirit.

Julie, where in PA do you live? Such a beautiful state...loved being in the city, but loved the countryside too...many small towns like Snow Shoe...passed thru when driving the 500 miles back and forth tp my home town. Also took the train thru lower PA for some reason always at something like 4 am, passing through Altoona and horsehoe curve. Something to see the front and back of a train if enough cars...

I live in Europe. Divorced and remarried a super sweet Angel. Speak fluently 4 languages and can get by another 4.

I love God and I'm religious but not a fanatic. My wife and I attend church regularly and we're involved quite a bit with the church where we live plus with a filantropic society.

We're proud to be Catholics - the religion that put people closer to God.

Hi Tommy, good to see you bro! I understand your reason for getting off the road! If it brought you in contact with a rough bunch, then you're MUCH better off! PB if you're inside, or even on the strip I don't think you'll find 'blowing sands.' When you're out and about in LV you may get those sands, its very dry there.
You've got that right Susie! I used to pass over the Strip on one of the interstate bridges that goes over it. I lived where I had a view of the tops of the hotels/casinos. I liked watching the fireworks from the tops of the buildings from my front yard on holidays.

People who live in Vegas don't go to the strip area much. In fact, they avoid it at all cost. If you walk a block away from the strip you will see the worst slums like any other large city. When you minister in Vegas you see what gambling can really do to people. There are lots of people who go there thinking they will convert all those sinners. They have no idea what they are getting themselves into.

Hello Barbara, I've shared with you before, we have more in common than locals we have lived. I am a "has been" biker. I rode for 10 years, then just drifted away from it. I miss the riding, but, considering the life-style I lived then, I don't feel comfrtable with the thought of owning another Harley. Besides, they're too expensive now. God bless you and yours!

NVBarbara, you said you were in culture shock. Because you are devoid of flying Elvi, perhaps? No creatures on the streets, and the streets are clean there, yes?

Back in 1996, I worked for 'Country Fed meat company', which went under since I left. I hear the owner Harry Pedan got saved and he's starting up again. Although I have never been to Greenville SC, my boss, Onie Doyle, is from there. He's quite a caracter but he's got a good heart. He taught me a lot. Maybe I'll run down there and see him sometime.
