**They would have to defeat Pilate's special military trained guards, read Matt 28:57-66.**

Where did you get the idea that the guard were necessarily Roman soldiers?

They could have been the Temple guards, but these troops were just as highly disciplined. If a Temple guard fell asleep on his post, he was awakened by having his clothes set on fire.

I watched a small portion on the discovery's website. And if all of this were so true as they claim, then they would not have waited until now to say all of this stuff, cause they found most of this stuff back in 1984, and didn't say anything until a decade later? What a fluke.

To add to what Pharisee said. Think about who would have stole the body of Jesus.
It would have been only a certain few.
What would they have had to do to accomplish it?
They would have to defeat Pilate's special military trained guards, read Matt 28:57-66.
This is another attack that will defeat weak middle of the line Christians and Lost people.
Read the Book.

None of the boxes they showed had any bones!
They claim they were doing biblical archaeology. What a joke, THEY didn't have the proper credentials for something as important as this undertaking merited and never acquired permission from the proper authorities.
Allowing these so-called journalists to engage in this type of work and then present this crap on TV as truth is a BIG mistake.
It was all about getting viewers to watch the commercials.

There is so much garbage out there. These programs from the secular venue always are eventually proven wrong. I saw a Rabbi pushing his new book on Fox news, this morning. He was actually gloating over these recent lies. Our faith will be tested in these last days. We will endure till the end, right my brothers and sisters? Jesus indured for us, now we do our part and glorify Him, in these evil days. Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!

Indeed Pharisee.
I think Ted Koppel's interview after the show was revealing that most of these 'findings' are garbage.
Boxes of bones? Give me a massive break!

I SO agree with Pharasee concerning the Aposels and why would they die for a lie? I sure wouldn't live my life defending something I knew was a lie. And concerning that show, well people can do anything now a days and people love attention and some will do just about anything for their 15 minutes of fame.

No, I was in church. I don't have time for stupid stuff like that. I seen a young man turn his life over to God, and to me that is far more important than a tv special.

Faith that can't be tested can't be trusted.

Let's think for a minute what it means if what they found is what they say.

Your faith and mine are in vain, and Jesus was the biggest liar who ever lived.

That really doesn't explain the faith of the apostles and being willing to die for something they knew was a lie. Would you die defending the name of the one who's body you stole and hid? Me either.

They found a tomb, most of the bone boxes had VERY common names and rightly the chances of finding a tomb with the names of all of Jesus' family not being accurate is slim.

A slim chance still exists then that this is not the right tomb.

There is however NO CHANCE that the blessings received in Jesus' name throughout the last two thousand years are coincidence.

The film asks us to trade what were sure of for what they're pretty sure of. Not good enough for me.

I missed it but have my own question" where did they get DNA they knew-could prove came from Christ's family line to begin with?" It is a lie of the Devil and I must wonder if this is also a type of Anti-Christ. This is trying to tear down Christian faith,Satan tears down,Christ builds up. This is a prime example of why we must stay in the Word of God rooted and grounded in His truth, not to be led astray by man.

The statistical gobbledegook they rattle off can't be accurate, it's impossible to be concerning the number of people who had a certain name by reviewing the ancient writings.

These eggheads seem to speak as if their research is infallible, and that's what they want you to believe.

As for me, I am more comfortable believing what happened to Paul on the road to Damascus, or Thomas as he proclaimed "my Lord and my God."

A film like that will shipwreck the faith of many.
