God created man for His pleasure. He was not lonly because God had the fellowship with the Son Long before He created angels or man. Man, was created to demonstrate the glory of God and to fellowship with the God of glory. Upon His creation he is given the following duties and responsibilties: 1. Man was to assume the headship over all nature. 2. Man was to make his headquarters in Eden and to take care of it. 3. To provide names for every living creature. 4. Love and protect his wife.

God created man for the following reasons: 1-have relationship with God, 2-rule and reign on earth as kings in His kingdom on earth.

Revelation 4:11, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

God created Adam knowing full well He would sin--[Not encouraging Him to do so]-- He planned all along to send His son to die in man's place and to display His marvelous Grace! [Roman 5-20. and Eph. 2-7]. Perhaps because man [like God] knows the differences between good and evil. Only man, among all creatures, has self-consciousness.

Catherine ... You are quite right. When things go wrong, or people are hurt, they will blame God and not the devil for the bad things.
But in a way some Christians encourage this. Because the predestinationists say that nothing happens without God allowing it, and some even say God is in control of everything.
If that is the case, God is to blame for the bad things that happen.

alan-- You are right, unbelievers do not believe there's a devil. They don't believe there's a God, so people do not believe there is a devil. And the devil just loves it. He gets away with murder. He is laughing. People will blaime God much quicker than they will the devil, on most everything. And I have got to tell you in one word--- STUPID!
---catherine on 3/15/07

Catherine ... Do you really think "Most people are busy glorifying the devil"
I don;t think they have any intention of doing that. They just don't care ... the devil makes the most of it, but I don;t think the non-Christians even are aware.

I do not mock the only True God. God created man for only one reason to glorify Him. Then evil entered into the picture. Most people are busy glorifying the devil, The god of this world. God was never lonly. He has always had the Son. We all have a spirit, and that is what enables us to glorify God, worship Him. God is a person and He is a spirit, and He created us in His image. [Spirit] Only God's people are able to glorify Him. Jesus dieing on the cross gave us that right.

Maybe He was bored.

God does not need us but that he created us for his enjoyment. Being created for his enjoyment means that we were made for him Isa. 43:7, 1Cor. 8:6. Being made for Him also means that are deepest satisfaction is in Him whom we were created for.

So why does most of Gods creation choose not to glorify Him? Why is there evil in the world? Did something go wrong with Gods original plan for His creation? Was there an unseen flaw in man that God overlooked? Does a great all knowing God really need anything from us corruptible puny humans? Catherine, I think its more to it than God needing us to glorify Him. God bless

Why did God create man? Only one answer. TO GLORIFY Him. No other reason. Case close!
---catherine on 3/14/07

Yes we are here because God wants family. He is our Father and we are His sons. But what most people dont understand is that qualities of character such as love are not instantaneously created, they must be developed. And this development takes a creation time and circumstances. And God being the great cause of everything creates every circumstance that is necessary for our development.

So did Adam possess the knowledge of good and evil at his creation or was it a knowledge that he had to have to become more like his creator? Didnt God say after Adam had eaten from the tree that man is become as one of us, to know good and evil "Gen 3:22". Was the knowledge of good and evil a knowledge that needed to be possessed for man to begin his transformation into Gods image?
---Billy on 3/14/07

Or did God tell a lie as to what this knowledge had done for Adam. So why did it take Adam to disobey God to ataine a knowledge that would cause him to become as God to know good and evil? Before I add more, ill let some others comment on my questions, God bless

Because He wanted man for friendship. He loved His creation. Deuteronomy 4:32-38

God created man because He desired a family.

Man was created as a special object of Gods Love. God made man so He could love man.

A mans life has profound meaning. We were made by God and for God, until we understand that our life will never make sense.

God is not just the starting point of mans life, He is the source of it.

Knowing and loving God is mans greatest privilege and being known and loved by man is Gods greatest pleasure.

**Father is not a father if he has no children. Our Father is the Father of all creatures that possess personality.**

A father is not the father of what he makes, but of what he begets. Beavers do not beget dams, but little beavers.

God does not "beget" people. He begat only ONE--the eternal Logos, His Son. We are God's CREATION.

And as a standard answer goes, God made us to know Him, love Him, and serve Him in this life, and to be happy forever with Him in the next.

The Lord created man for his pleasure. Man is to obey and glorify his Lord. The Lord created man for his pleasure and to increase his kingdom.

greetings.Father is not a father if he has no children. Our Father is the Father of all creatures that possess personality. He gives personality to all beings, seen and unseen. Most important of all, Father loves all his children.Without children, how he expresses himself is unknown. The masterful plan is "be ye perfect" as our Father is perfect.

I suppose God created man for the same reason He created everything else, for His glory.

Tonne "He created man to bring God glory, but it did not go God's way"
So God is not all-powerful?
---alan_8869_of_UK on 3/6/07

God did not create man because He was lonely,He created Man to glorify Him. He had the son, so He was not lonely. At one time He repented of ever making man, and I can certainly understand that.

He created man to bring God glory, but it did not go God's way. Man has dominated man to his injury. He also wanted to them to be fruitful and multiply.....Only certain lines in families brought God glory. Noah. Abraham. Etc...You could go thru the Bible and see which families brought God glory.

God created man to worship him. Even though God is God, I believe he was lonely. He created man so he could talk to man, to create a bond/relationship, as he did with Adam. I can give you verses in the bible, but God wanted fellowship with someone other than the angels.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them , be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
