I have never heard the expression 'Christian diet' but if you want some advice from the bible it says you should not be a glutton. Not every overweight or obese person is that way because of gluttony I know but to those WHO ARE the biblical advice is 'don't eat more than your body uses each day'. If you eat more than you burn off you put on weight. Start to eat less, gradually, and the weight should come off gradually.

Let me say first of all: where in the world do you people get your information from? What is a Christian diet? A diet is a diet. Does not matter whether it is Christian or not.You only want the results. If a diet works,it works.Any diet that promotes healthy eating along with moderate exercise is a winner. Lean meats, fresh fruits, veggies, clean water and so forth is great for starters.

Kenneth, Keep remember what Jesus said, "The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Your flesh will want to eat, but Paul said, "I buffet my body and make it my slave." You can do the same. Don't give into temptations to eat sugar or fats. Eat lots of salads with Chicken and Fish. Exercise is important too. Jesus walked everywhere he went so he never needed a treadmill.

i have been on an eating plan since 5/06. I would think of it as a lifestyle change. Mine was not created by some Christian club or book...but i do eat very healthy and simple. Lots of fruits and vegetables, 6 small meals a day 400 calories ea, don't eat til you're full, protein, fiber, lots of water.....that's how i do it and i have lost close to 50 lbs so far and an odd # of inches. Cardio and weight training helps a lot....can't do the eating w/o exercise...doesn't work.

Thomas: A person should not fast just to lose weight. A person shouldn't boast when fasting. Lu 18:12. No where in the bible does it tell us that we should fast once or twice a week.

If more people would just fast once or twice a week like the Bible tells us to, then nobody would be over weight.

Eat organic food and reduce the quanity of food eaten.

Check with your doctor and if he says it is ok fast, but fast to glorify God!

Kenneth, Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of God." He told that to the disciples when they told Jesus they had nothing to eat.
Here's a great Christian diet:
1) Stand on the word, "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
2) The Kingdom of God is not eat nor drink, but righteousness, peace and Joy and....
3) Fast as the Holy Spirit leads.
