What is the doctrine of salvation?
SEE EARTHLY SANCTUARY ( man sin, man runs away from God, God seeks man, man must die for his sin, God dies in mans place)

I want the true meaning of salvation. How can we know for sure we are saved?

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Salvation means that you will not face the second death / the wrath of God.

//How can we know for sure we are saved?//

Try studying the Pauline epistles addressed to the BOC
for instance,
Rom 8:1There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The city of Geneva, where Iohn Caluin and Theodore Beza dwelt, was ''the most perfect school of Christ since the days of the Apostles'' confessed Iohn Knox. This includes the Bible translation too. The Geneva Bible was translated by the most perfect school of Christ since the days of the Apostles, and therefore the Geneva Bible is the perfect worde of God.

It was the Bible brought to North America by the Puritans and Pilgrims. Even the late Calvinist preacher Dr. D. Iames Kennedy said this, ''The publication and promulgation of the 1599 Geneva Bible will help restore America's rich Christian heritage and reclaim the culture for Christ.''

O Calvinists! Return to the days of the New England Puritans.

salvation is a broad term in the NT. saved FROM the consequenses of sin (justified) through faith without works (Romans 1:16, 3:28), saved TO a clear conscience (forgiven) through baptism (Romans 6:3-7, 1Peter 3:21), saved FROM physical annhialation (resurrected) universally (Romans 5:9,18, 1Cor 15:1-58), saved FROM losing our rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ (rewards) through faith plus works (James 2:12,14), saved TO an inheritance (reigning) through endurance (Romans 10:9-10, Matthew 10:22). if you try to blend all the aspects of salvation, you'll be confused.

It would be a good idea to look at these verses as they make all persons one in Christ at this point in time.

1 Cor.15:1-4 Rom. 2:16 Rom 16:25 Eph 3:5

The Only salvation from God is according to Mark 16 v 16, Acts 2 v's 37 - 41 which Fulfills Matt.28 v's 19 - 20.

The true meaning, is being transformed from the carnal way of life to spiritual.

Sure of being saved, Matt.24 v 13.

The doctrine of salvation is God's promise fulfilled in the person and work of Christ, Jesus His Son

2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you

Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Rom 1:17 For therein (the true gospel) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.

Good explanation I would add support with:

Jesus said,
"If you love Me keep My commandments."

You can not go to the Father unless the person of the Holy Spirit is drawing you to the Father. All the rest I believe Donna has it down for you.

"If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, then you shall be saved (from the wrath of God). You know for sure you are saved when you pray and ask God and He answers you and you develop a close relationship with God to the point where you are DOING HIS WILL and OBEYING HIS WORD at all cost. Do a study on when Jesus said, "To those who do the will of My Father."

Question 1. Salvation is the Fathers provision for mans deliverance from the enslavement to & the penalty of sin. Worked out by the finished work of His anointed Savior. Thru the atoning death of His body, the shedding of His blood for our cleansing & the healing endowment of His Spirit. Q2. Safety & protection during tribulation & rescue & deliverance from His justifiable wrath. Q3. By faith. Being fully persuaded that what He has promised, He will perform. His promise is found in Jh. 3;16 > Rom. 10:9

the bible says if we confess our mouth loudly Jesus is Lord and we beleive He died on our sake and accept Jesus to our heart and pray to recive Jesus to our heart we are saved. God said it so we are not to think it is not that way if God said it in his word. He is the only major authority

In short, this is who we are,
We shall be a light unto the of God and love of our fellow man.
We shall have joy in our salvation, knowing Jesus has saved us...(live by Faith)
Salvation is a decision to serve Jesus after hearing His word of reconciliation =(repent). We believe on Him, trust in Him =(Faith)...He wont deny us eternal salvation.....
---duane on 3/27/07

Jesus is Salvation. All whom turn to him in real repentance and ask him to save them, he will in no way cast out but instead he will save them. The proof of salvation is a changed life: a lost soul is of the world and worldlylike and separated from God, but a saved soul is of Christ and Christlike and joined with God and has his Holy Spirit.
---Eloy on 3/26/07

It is a relationship between man and God. Man will have to die and suffer eternal death because of sin which makes a separation between man and God. God wants us to be save for that eternal death. In John 3: 16. For so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son whosoever believe th on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.Repentance and true acceptance of the Only Begotten Son is the only way to go Heaven with God
---Edna on 3/26/07

Get a note book and ask that question in 6 months from now and take note how your life has changed. If it has changed from the time you accepted God then you are saved. If you are still the same person you were after accepting Christ, then you are not saved. In other words are you praying, reading the Bible, studying the Bible or memorizing the verses in the Bible. Do you discuss the Bible? Ask yourself these questions. Fath brings forth work. Work can not bring forth faith.
