Is God Nuturing Like A Mother

Does God have feminine, nuturing qualities like a mother?
Is our idea of God more man than woman? Jesus is a man (and God). But what about the other parts of The Trinity? In the harsh, competitive, modern world, are we frightened that God might have these feminine qualities?

First, the Bible says that God is our Father. It also says He is Love. Because He is Love, He can and does love us more than any mother could. Jesus is The Son. The Holy Spirit is Spirit. Man has attributed gender qualities to love, not God.

God is whatever you need him to be. Mom, dad, grandma, friend, etc. God has more mercy than any human could ever have. God loves us when no one else will. He'll be there when no one else will. He is never too busy to help those in need. He always has time for us. He does have a feminine side to him. When one of his children is hurt, he picks them up and holds them. He is more than a mother, more than a friend. He is God Almighty.

It is written,in the sweet promise of Isaiah 49:15 'Can a mother forget her nursing child, that she should not have Compassion on the son she bore? They may forget, but I Will not forget Thee'.We see also Jeremiah 31:3 'I have loved you with an everlasting Love'.Oh yes, God is nurturing,Forgiving and so Wonderful to Us.

Though God is historically referred to in the masculine gender. God is infarct genderless, having the best attributes of both male and female serving as the ultimate living parent for man kind. Great enough to create a universe through the Big Bang and guide evolution for the creation of all life on Earth.

I think that whatever you need God for, He is it. If you need a mom or a dad, or even a good friend, he's everything for everyone at anytime.

Certain feminine qualities of God such as a nurturing nature were built into Adam when God made him in His image. Eve was taken from Adam, along with those qualities before she was named.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
(Gen 5:2) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Ed, I don't think of our Heavenly Father in a motherly way. I think Jesus Christ walked this earth in a very masculine way. Some of the art depicting Jesus is too feminine.
The Holy Spirit is our Comforter.

1 Cor 13:1, tells us that if we don't have any love, we're like sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.
People can be like a noisy gong. Brother Gong, Sister Gong, and all the little gongs.
No "Christ love" in their hearts. Any donkey can bray.
I think the 'feminine' qualities flow through yielded vessels, people.
God is not looking for perfect people, just yielded through whom He can flow to touch the lives of hurting people.

God uses people in spite of all their flaws.
Because of Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves and say, Lord, use me.
It is a harsh world and we can't be afraid to show the Love of Christ to others.
To deny the Love of Christ is to deny the Love of God.
