Post a New Blog

Will certainly be remembering your brother and family in prayer Susie. My sister's husband died about 6 weeks ago, its been difficult on her.God bless.
---NVBarbara on 6/8/08

No, Alan, King of Scotland, Bored of same PenPal Names/Rings;
if we look back at all the variations you've used on your name, to get the point across that you are Alan of UK, we all know in every way possible, that you are indeed, from the UK. We all know that you say things differently over there, with a tinge of an upper crusty/upper lippy aire. Why not be Alan?
---Auntie_Em on 6/8/07

No Alan of UK, I do not have multiple personalities. I have had my name used, so I'm using Anon. You've found it difficult to believe that others would use multiple names. When you pull Morris' tail or slam it in the door, Morris shows her teeth, then she will use your name. It is all very catty, Meow.
---Anonymous on 6/8/07

So you are a deceiver too, using multiple personlities?
---alan_of_UK on 6/8/07

Alan, oh Alan. Follow the yellowbrick road. You were just there.
---Toto on 6/7/07

Ethel ... Which blog?
---alan_of_UK on 6/7/07

Alan, do you have your ears and eyes on today? Morris is back.
It is an interesting case study to observe someone who argues all viewpoints.
---Ethel on 6/7/07

A bit of both, Alan.
The usual drill is a woman, posing as a man.
Easily identified. They're endearing and at the same time catty. Men don't talk like that.
All of her answers are identical in many ways, using the same scriptures, over and over. But she poses herself off as different religions.
Same woman, claiming she's a pastor's wife, posts every side of the argument. I think she's working on an assignment for her pastor's degree, or they've had so many leave her church, she's bored.
---Anonymous on 6/3/07

The poser has forced others off the blogs.
She promised us all the big name reveal, but it did not come. By observing, you can spot it easily. I know you would never dream of doing that, Alan.
Many use multiple names, but they stick to their views. Many women use mens' names because they want to be taken seriously. Sorry to say, Alan, they have more votes under a man's name. But if you're a woman, it's so easy to see.
---Anonymous on 6/3/07

Then we move on to the spiteful.
They'll use your name and write rude, crude, anything with it. Generally, it's to support their false religion, beliefs. There are also the whiners, sniff, sniff... I may have to leave. Then they'll use another name and write 30,000 more with it.
Multiple names, Alan. It's real, believe it.
---Anonymous on 6/3/07

Thank you Susie, I appreciate your prayers. Bless you.
---Christina on 6/3/07

Anon ... Do you really think that? How do you identify Morris?
How many other cats are there posting under multiple names?
Do they all do it to create a fictitious discussion?
Or do some do it to inflate the perceived number of people having the same view?
---alan_of_UK on 6/3/07

Awhile back, freedom fighters were using my name. So I decided to use another name. If you speak bluntly, they'll use your name. It also happens with the crowd that practices the craft. I haven't seen them in awhile. If you point out the false, they get even.
---anonymous on 6/1/07

I agree with these last few posts, the changes over the past year have been interesting. I too look to see who's still posting from when I first came on.
I've been shocked at some of the replies, the rudness, judgemental attitudes, etc.
I believe we come here to share and learn, but often end up doing just as the unsaved do, resorting to attacking one another, while trying to prove our point.
I have really enjoyed coming here, but I find myself hoping for the best, while posting less.
---lynet on 6/1/07

I dont really post that much, but I've been around CN for about 4 or 5 years now. It does seem like in the past several months there have been lots of rudeness.
---sue on 6/1/07

There is more than one person that will use your name when they object to your view.
There is one person who has posted under about 10 names that changes doctrine with each name. They have more views and lives than Morris the Cat.
They've jerked the rug out from underneath many, duping and laughing as they go.

I don't know if they look at these blogs as part of study for their own ministry; taking one stand, then using another moniker to argue with it, but they've been doing it for a year now. It's brought confusion to the blogs, several have left. But Morris enjoys the monopoly of every blog, coming at it from a different angle. It's getting easier by the day to spot Morris. What the motivation is less than honorable. Morris may have nine lives, but likes the same flavor of catfood.
---Anonymous on 6/1/07

Mike ... I see it all falling apart. There is such nonsense spoken and such discourtesy.
---alan_of_UK on 6/1/07

Hi MikeM; your post makes me almost cry. :( But are you 100% SURE that some people are posting under different names? We need all opinions here, not just the popular ones.
---Mary on 5/31/07

TY for asking Cindy! I'm not online too much. I went to visit my family for a month. Since then we've been helping Steve's mom get moved to a retirement condo.
And frankly my feelings are much like MikeM. I'm so bored with the same old attacks, few blog on the newest questions. These old questions dredged up from 2 years ago are moot and non productive.

I probably will not post much longer.

One, using multi-able names one, maybe more posters make trite personal attacks, 'barbs' of no substance. They refuse to deal with issues of substance, prefering to be seen as hateful examples of religious bigotry and shallowness. They use each name only once.

Two, i suspect since half the posts i write are never posted, the mods are asking me nice to leave, possibly prefering only conservative protestants.
---MikeM on 5/31/07

Cindy...There seems to be a few people posting. At least three of them are using several different names to post. When one of them doesn't like your answer, they post questions and answers using the name of the person whom they perceive has offended them. This has been happening to me a lot and it's getting to the point of being silly necause it is so obvious. Maybe that's why so many of the regulars aren't posting much anymore.
---Susie on 5/31/07

Good question Cindy. Their input added a lot to these blog questions..

Madison, I can's all so expensive. I too need a lot of dental work, and can only have a minimal amount done with my insurance. I can have teeth pulled, but not much else. Some are teeth that had root canals done, but insurance would not cap them, now they are broken and looks like I'll be eating baby food in the not so distant future.
---Christina on 5/30/07

Asking prayer for my hearing in my left ear...I have extremely small ear canals, and the left ear has always given me problems. Now I have a "bony growth" that has totally blocked the ear which will have to be surgically removed and other surgery I'm not sure I can adequately explain.

We don't live in California, But, we live close enough to San Diego to be there within a few hours. We are thinking about going to see this exhibit. It would be such a spiritually uplifting event for us. And, a once in a lifetime chance.

Susie, I think that is a great opportunity. Do you live in California?

A museum in Philadelphia has a King Tut exhibit currently. While it is not Biblical, it is historical and fascinating. I hope to go there before it leaves.
---Madison1101 on 5/29/07

A recent article in our local paper says that the Dead Sea Scrolls will be on exhibit in San Diego for several weeks. Does anyone else think this is an opportunity of a lifetime to see the documents that authentic the Bible?

Hi everyone. It is a hot Memorial Day here in PA. I am hoping to get to the pool and take a swim this afternoon.

I hope everyone has a blessed holiday.

Wow! $1600 for your share! I thank God for my husband's insurance which is also for retired members of his union. We pay $25 a year deductible. That's it! I'm just thankful I still have teeth to fix at my age. LOL

Madison...I know what you mean about cost. My husband's niece is getting married in Oregon this summer. They had a big family reunion/wedding shower last weekend in her hometown. It's only seven hours from us, so we drove and it still cost us close to $1000 for gas, hotel, gifts, food, etc. The price of gas is affecting the price of everything. If I lived in St Louis, you could stay with me.
---Susie on 5/27/07

Madison: if I had it, you would have what you need. that is what being a christian is all about. being of service to others when they need us the most. like you, I have had extensive dental work done. a good friend that is a member of my ward is a dentist and did it all at no cost to me. why, he lives the gospel. Jesus said when you do it unto the least of these my brethren you do it unto me. great is the reward in heaven for those who help others in life without reward or payment.
---ashley on 5/27/07

Susie: I have dental insurance. Problem is, with all the work I need done on my teeth, I will still have to come up with $1600+ to pay for the crowns and bridges I need, AFTER my insurance pays for the rest.

Other problem is my son is getting married in St. Louis in September, and I need air fare, a dress, to contribute to the shower, hotel room, car rental, and money to give the groom for the rehearsal dinner, as that is customary.

Those crowns are expensive, about 5-6 hundred apiece, depending on where you live.
I hope your insurance will cover some of it.
---Raine on 5/25/07

I'm soooo sorry, Madison. :( When do you see the dentist? You're in my prayers dear.
---Mary on 5/25/07

Raine: I needed new crowns a year ago, but could not afford them. I was eating something and two of them cracked apart.

Today I saw my family doctor and he says I have an ear infection. More pain. UGH!

Hi Susie; hmmm...well, I would say if the minister lives in a "filthy home" that's his business and his family's business. I'm sure the minister's wife has more to do all day than clean her house lol--and hey, the minister can help too :)
---Mary on 5/25/07

Susie: Why are you asking that on the What's Up Blog? Why not post it as a blog question unto itself?
---Madison1101 on 5/24/07

I need prayer for broken teeth and pain that really hurts. I need a root canal. Also my ear hurts terribly. I guess I am just falling apart. :(

---Susie on 5/24/07

Oh, I see.
I am in prayer agreement for a better position.
Guess what, all those dogs had their mugs in tonight's paper. Not only do I have face recognition, but I know their names now. Same dogs, week after week, and I cannot bring them home. Awful.

Raine: Yes, I am looking for a full time social work job for the summer. I have some major expenses coming up and need the money. I am probably going to have to quit my second part time job doing outpatient therapy, as it did not provide the amount of income I needed.

The school year for us teachers here ends on June 20th. I will be going to see my daughter for a week and then hopefully start a temporary job doing social work for a month or so, before my son gets married.
---Madison1101 on 5/23/07

Well, my daughter says the baby is dropping. She is 3 weeks from her due date, but I am hoping this little girl arrives earlier rather than later.

My school year is almost over and I am looking for a summer job. My son is getting married in St. Louis over Labor Day weekend, and I need some money for the trip and other expenses that go with being the mother of the groom.

Just got back from Vegas where we visited family and friends. We lived and ministered there for many years. Please pray for our dear friend, Pastor Bill, who is over 90 and has lymphoma. His wife is also his age and caring for him. They are dear people of God and need lifted up badly right now. Thanks for your prayers.
---Susie on 5/21/07

I'm also mindful that we have dogs in the USA that are treated better than humans in 3rd world countries. I draw the line at letting them sit at the table with a bib on, or lay their head on my pillow. I prefer dogs over cats. I'm not a cat lady with 15 cats in the house. I do like outside cats, keep the mice populations down.
---Raine on 5/21/07

Mary - Thank you for your prayers. The little daughter doggie is doing surprisingly well, but she is clinging on to me which tends to wear me down a bit. The Lord will work it all out. The mama got buried this morning, and then I had peace. Just need to get back physically and mentally on top again. Bless you.

Madison1101 - Thank you for your words of understanding. It really does kill. It hurts more than losing a human being. Somehow I know the humans I will see again, but not the little doggies. She is at rest now. The Lord answered my prayer and sent two men this morning and they buried her in no time flat. When they were finished one of them handed me her collar! I thought of that last night, but then forgot... praise God for His goodness. Bless you. ((hug)).
---Helen_5378 on 5/21/07

Raine - Yeah. Dog pounds are the result of man's cruelty to animals. They are very very sad places to be. I used to get dogs with very long pedigrees that had been dumped, and many of them were mistreated and had to be put down. I do believe that a mistreated animal can be brought around with lots and lots of tender love, but it would take heaps of work.
---Helen_5378 on 5/21/07

I am sooooooooo deeply sorry, Helen. :( I am a dog lover supremo, myself and I can only imagine your pain and the pain of your dog's daughter. :( Praying for you tonight; hugs, Mary
---Mary on 5/20/07

Helen, when you're ready, you may have to find another doggie. But older dogs aren't necessarily receptive to new dogs. They can become jealous and territorial.
I'm still thinking about those dogs over there in cages. That's no life for a dog.

Hey Everybody,
It is exactly three weeks till my daughter's due date. The anticipation is better than when I was a kid waiting for Christmas morning. She sent me a photo of her in profile for Mother's Day. My heart just bursts with joy looking at my first born carrying my first grandchild. Please pray these last few weeks go as comfortably as possible She is a teacher, and her last day of school is this Friday.
---Madison1101 on 5/21/07

Raine - I know how you feel. Many years ago I worked in a dog pound. I eventually did take one home, but I wanted to take them all home too.
---Helen_5378 on 5/20/07

Helen, I went to the pound, today. Huge, enormous mistake. There were mutts of every combination, about 100. They started barking at one time, trying to catch my eye and attention. It worked. I looked every one of them over. There is one goofy dog that's been in the paper for months. He's a skinny black dog with a silly grin on his face; sharp pointy ears and tufts of hair sticking up all over his head.

You can tell just by looking at this dog, that he's not the sharpest wolf in the pack.
There was a batch of black puppies of some hound/lab combo, with that sweet puppy chow fragrance. Two old chows about 12 years old, dogs, dogs, dogs. I left without one, but I have traumatic dog pound stress syndrome now. I want to go right back over there and bring them all home.
---Raine on 5/20/07

Raine - Thank you. It hurts so bad. She is being buried tomorrow. Her little daughter is alright so far. She had a bit of a look for her mamma tonight but she is doing well praise God for that.
---Helen_5378 on 5/20/07

Helen, sorry for the loss of your little friend. That's difficult for any animal lover. The bible is not clear whether there will be any animals as we know them on earth, up in heaven. If they were important enough to be placed on the ark, why wouldn't there be animals in heaven? We shall see.

Hello everyone. Boy it is quiet around here lately. Hope everyone is well. I am currently looking for a job for the summer to keep me off the streets and out of trouble after I get home from my daughter's in June. Baby is due in 3 weeks, and I am just giddy with excitement and anticipation. She is exhausted. Her last day of school is Friday, so she will be able to rest those last couple of weeks.
---Madison1101 on 5/19/07

Hey everyone. I cracked two teeth yesterday. I need a lot of repair work on my teeth, and haven't been able to pay for it. I have an appointment in the first week of June. The dentist's office is willing to give me credit for the work, since I have so much to get done.
---Madison1101 on 5/16/07

Raine: I was expecting this transfer because the projected enrollment of my school is supposed to drop almost in half because of district restructuring. There are other teachers who are also getting transferred and they have more seniority in the building than I do. It is not my first transfer, I just got to the school two years ago. I am just praying that God be in all the details of the transfer.

---NVBarbara on 5/10/07

Susie, there is a school right next to my apartment complex, BUT it is not the school district where I teach. I teach in the city and live in the suburbs. Philadelphia is a huge city and I spent the first 13 years of my career there commuting a minimum of 45 minutes one way. My current school is 20 minutes away from where I live. Also, the kids are better in this school than they were in previous schools. Less violence, more academically oriented. I am trusting the Lord for my career.
