i personally have never had one before, i am against it 150%. make sure you tell her that the baby is already living and breathing and that the baby has feelings too. a baby is a blessing and if it wasnt meant for her to be pregnant right now, she wouldnt b. i think you should show her pictures of aborted babies and blogs from women who regret aborting

Abortion haunts you for the rest of your life. Explain to her and show her pictures of a baby at each month. Tell her that the baby is a living human being. God has a plan for this child. There are organizations that can help. A pregnant womens center perhaps. Help her to know that you love her but that abortion isn't the way. Explain to her what they do to the baby during the abortion procedures. It is horrifing.I think that might help. If I had known, I wouldn't have done it.

I would GLADLY take care of her baby. I'm not kidding either, and there are hundreds, maybe thousands of other women and men who would love to have her child.

I have responded to this already, but somehow it must have been lost in the shuffle. First I would go out and buy her the classic book, Horton gets a clue. Then I tell her that many woman are unable to have babies, it would make some lady thrilled to be able to adopt her baby, 10 years from now your daughter will be very glad that she was not guilty of the sin of murder, but the giver of life.

Carla, what a testimony of the love and grace of our Lord...1 Praise Jesus!

Caring, isn't it wonderful to see the good God brings out of situations?

Jhn 15:13
Greater love is this that a man lay down his life for friends.

I don't preach love without practicing love.I was a victim of rape, It was difficult but I kept the baby, and you know what It was the best thing I ever did, the love for children regardless was always there, to the point where I do not take contraceptives. I choose not to bow down to satans lies and murder a innocent life regardless,I understand...I just don't advocate it.

A former neighbor of mine was considering to abort her baby. She didn't and once, with tears in her eyes told me how happy she is that she decided to keep her baby who is now a beautiful and intelligent teenager full of life and super sweet.

Tell your daughter that you don't want to lose your grandchild and that this child is a part of your daughter. Tell her you will take the child and raise it.

So the feelings and mental state of woman takes precedence over all. Typical way of thinking today. Should a rape victim have the right to kill one of the rapists children? Or if the victim of a kidnapping, one of the kidnapper's children? Or perhaps she should burn down the building if her apartment is burglarized so she can forget the trauma. The world does not revolve around you. Going through tough times does not justify destroying an innocent third party. How's that for cold?

There are no valid arguments for abortion. We can not give life & have right under any circumstance to take it if it can be avoided. Murder is murder & will be judged as such. For rape victims there is a prevention method available, if the crime is reported & responded to immediately, that will prevent conception. However at the moment of conception a new life begins, a miracle that is a gift of God. To disrespect that gift is to dishonor the Father. He makes no mistakes. The child has a right to life.

Carla: lets say you were raped. And a few months later, you found out you were pregnant. What would you do? Could you really carry a child for 9 months knowing the father is the rapist? If a woman has been raped and she reports it right then, she needs to have a DNC done. Just in case she were pregnant. No it is not impossible for a woman to carry the baby after rape. I was molested, and thought I was pregnant. At age 14. I honestly don't know if I could get through the pregnancy without going crazy.

There is never any reason to murder for self gratification. God will judge murders...and it won't be a slap on the wrist if the person is unrepentant. A life is a life and regardless of rape, incest alike it's difficult but it is not impossible to bring the child into the world and at least allow someone else to love it and bring it up as their own. after all not everyone can say they were a product of love. But it took Love on our mothers part to bring everyone of us into this world.

Amen, Rebecca! Yeah, I am against abortion myself, except in the case of the life of the mother, or in the case of children who have been raped--or adults, for that matter. So many people are sooooo ice-cold to women having had abortions--yet what would they feel like in their shoes? Rape is a brutal and deliberate crime and scars the daylights out of its victims. Show some compassion, people.

Hi; just to add to my previous post: I have been a victim of other types of crime (strangling for one) and sexual abuse by former husband. Those were bad enough; how much would I be scarred if I had been raped?! Think what it would be like for the victims before you throw stones at them.

She feels trapped now, but how will she feel when she cant stop thinking about this baby and what she chose to do. Tell her that. She will never forget and always feel sad.
---sue on 5/4/07

Ralph: I certainly wouldn't get an abortion. I feel it is wrong. But if a woman was raped and got pregnant. Knowing that the seed came from her rapist, she could go off the edge and commit suicide. Really there isn't any pro's in this situation.

Rebecca, you can elaborate on the "pros" of abortion?

#1 If all the unborn/aborted, and young children go to heaven before they reach the age of accountability what is the big deal?
---Ryan_Z on 5/3/07

#2 In essence your daughter is making a sacrifice of herself by being willing to commit murder and condemn herself to ensure her unborn child goes to heaven, seems like an act of mercy. In reality she is not only condemning herself but if neither her nor the father of the child are believers then she is murdering an unborn and the unborns' state of existence, in the eyes of God, is unclean and nothing unclean enters the kingdom of heaven.

If she is of the age to make her own decisions, their isn't much you can do or say to change her mind. She should know all the pros and cons before making a definite decision. It is her life, all you can do is pray for her.

Unless you are better than I am I have to get forgiveness continuely, because I am always sinning. And I know that I am one wretched Soul. Mabe you are not, but I am. And if you want to go to hell go, but you have no right to take anyone else with you.

Well mandy it is not so much the argument but facts that should be discussed. An abortion involves a gruesome act of sucking the fetus out of the uterus with an instrument that is not used smoothly. Then bit by bit the parts have to be flushed out and checked by the nurse some of whom have had terrible repercussions about this ordeal. Not to mention the poison that is injected into the heart of the fetus to make sure it is dead. Not at all what girls/women expect as revealed on a TV documentary.
