Was This A Great Act

While witnessing to a young man about 25 years old, he accepts the Lord Jesus Christ, his mother, who had remained in the car now jumps out and begins to tell me what a great man of God I am. How should I respond to her?

Moderator - Unfortuately in the times we live that would be a great work, however all Christians should be out witnessing.

Moderator is right. You should feel blessed not proud but blessed that God worked through you at that given moment to further his kingdom.Praise God and pray for us all to be bold enough in this day to do the work that God has for us and not to egnore it. Many never want to come out of their "confort zone".

# -1- Yesterday while witnessing a young(13-14) boy brought his mother to me and said, my mother wants a bag of popcorn and me to again. Okay I said and got them a bag of popcorn. Have you told your mother why I'm doing this I ask? No the boy said, tell her what you told me(another words witness to her). I did, and she and the boy prayed with me.
---Mima on 5/20/07

#-2-after we had prayed I asked the mother did she feel any different than before with prayed, no she said I do not(Later I found out that the mother was already saved). now the boy speaks up and says I don't feel nothing like I felt yesterday when I prayed with you. Question why did he not feel anything the second time he prayed?
---Mima on 5/20/07

Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

Lord means master. Signfies you are a servant. If you are not doing anything for your master then why call Him master/Lord? Jesus asked that same question.

Luke 6:46
"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?
---Matthew on 5/18/07

Mima I have followed your advice. And of the three persons I talked to one prayed and agreed that he was saved. So you can be sure I will talk to more. Thank you for your advce.
---Candon on 5/18/07

This I pray, will make a lasting impression on the readers to take the low risk of witnessing to anyone, anywhere , who is remotely open to the gospel . These commentors have even given hints to the use of appropriate Bible scripture The Holy Spirit will give you Words which are alive . What more do we need to start ? Lets all go ! You have now been anointed and stent ! Witness

Romans 10:24-----How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not hard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
---Susie on 5/16/07

Mima ... Why are you telling us all this?
---alan_of_UK on 5/16/07

Take a bow! No I am just kidding. Say thank you, depending on the words God gives you. Regardless, give God all the credit. Either in your heart or open your mouth and say the words. "God did it not I"
---catherine on 5/16/07

Mima::I do not doubt the verasity of your intent & the use of 3 extracts from the Bible Quoting Romans ,Acts & Joel but why do you refuse the actual words of JESUS in Matt16:17-19 this is strange.& hence I am reminded to ask you to read Matt10:28-33 &Matt;12.43-45To be at one with Christ is to be one HIS way.

# 2 I am giving away popcorn out of the back of my pickup truck. Young men stops and gets out of his car. As I get him a sack of popcorn I say, why you think I'm giving this popcorn away? He says I have no idea. I say I want to ask you a question, may I ask you a question, yes he says ask away. I then asked him, are you absolutely positively certain sure no doubt in your mind that you will go to heaven when you die? Looking down at the ground he says I have no idea whether I'll go to heaven are not.
---Mima on 5/16/07

# 3 at which time I say, did you know that the Bible says, three different times that," whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved". No he says I did not know that. Well I say giving him time to think about it, my question to you is do you want to call? Now his eyes return to the ground and when he raises his head he says yes I want to call. Okay I said you will be calling for your salvation, okay? He says yes and I say follow me in this prayer.
---Mima on 5/16/07

# 4 and he followed me in this prayer. Lord Jesus thank you for coming in the my life, please forgive me of my sins, please save my soul, I receive you now. Amen Let us now go back to your question of how can I be certain this man is saved? Well I ask you plainly did I not hear him call on the name of the Lord for his salvation? I believe I heard him call therefore I am certain beyond any doubt he is saved. Emcee many people on this blog have prayed for you. Please ask God to show you the truth.
---Mima on 5/16/07

Emcee I realize that you have been taught that you must keep doing something(works) in order to retain your salvation. But that teaching makes many statements made by God in scriptures out to be a lie, and of course we know the Lord can not lie. The Lord has said that I will never leave you nor forsake you was the Lord lying about this, no, once your saved your saved forever.
---Mima on 5/16/07

# 1 ---Emcee My assurance and my certainty is in my believing the word of God as stated three different times in the Bible. Romans 10:13, Acts 2:21 and Joel 2:32 states," Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Emcee I know you believe the Bible is true so please take time to sudy the words in these verses. When you do you'll see why I am so certain. Let us look closely at what actually happened.

**praying for a new car, better home, lots of money, power over people are ignored instantly. they are of satan, not God.**

Ashley, I'm not sure which "God" you are talking about, but I know that I can ask my God, the one true and awesome God, for a car or a home, and for financial blessings.

Mima::After reading your post I ask you While you claim the boy is saved; how do you Know? true He believes in Jesus, But did he assure you that he will not commit sin again. The desire of breaking a rule is greater in a human being because of the desire of want, for the things & necessities of this worldly world, with emotions which display our actions in the best of us,hence the prince of thieves robs us of this grace. How can you justify he is saved -from what?
---Emcee on 5/15/07

**Unfortuately in the times we live that would be a great work, however all Christians should be out witnessing.**

Mod, if everyone did great acts, would that reduce the greatness of such acts?!
---Okebaram on 5/15/07

God knows the hearts of everyone. He knows what you are going to ask in prayer before you do. Regardless who you are, prayers go unanswered for one reason. you are asking for something that is not in righteousness. praying for a new car, better home, lots of money, power over people are ignored instantly. they are of satan, not God. you pray for health, help to overcome temptation, to be led by God, and knowledge. Prayer is a powerful tool if used properly.
---ashley on 5/15/07

Mima: If a sinner is calling upon God for him to save them, then yes God hears that prayer. But if a sinner is praying for someone or for something, God doesn't hear them. It is expained in the bible that God does not hear a sinner praying unless he become a worshipper of him (saved) and does the God's will. If a person does not ask God to forgive them of their sins, their not forgiven. God brings upon convition. He makes one feel remorse about what they've. He makes them think about their life.

To Rebecca D--will God not hear a sinner's prayer calling on God to save his soul? Do you Believe a man is forgiven of his sins even before he ask for forgiveness of his sins? If not how does a sinner ever become saved? Do you have any suggestion as to how conviction can be brought on a sinner? Is this not what preaching and attending church is all about?
---Mima on 5/14/07

Just because a person repeats after you in calling upon God in prayer, doesn't mean they are saved. Unless the spirit of the Lord draws him to him, he can't be saved. If there is no conviction, he isn't saved. John 6:44, Lk 5:8, Acts 2:37, 9:6, 16:29-30. Do you if he was under conviction. God doesn't hear sinners but if any be a worshipper of God, and does his will, he hears them. John 6:31.

#2 No I am not sure in fact I have no idea. Okay I said, the Bible says in three different places "whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." After a brief pause I then ask him do you want to call on the name of Lord do be saved? Another pause, yes he said, I want to call.( At this time the radio, which was playing loudly in the car, was shut off by a woman, who had remained in the car.
---Mima on 5/12/07

#3 I then ask him to follow me in this prayer. "Lord Jesus please come in my life, forgive me of my sins, save my soul, I receive you now." I prayed with him slow, as I always do, giving him time to think about what he was saying. After this prayer I offered to prove to him that he was saved. Okay he said, prove it to me whereupon I told him the following.

Send a Free Father's Day Ecard

#4 OK in John 6:37 it says,"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." You believe you came to the Lord? Yes was his answer. Well we are certain you called on the name of the Lord to save you, you heard yourself, I heard you, and God heard you. Therefore what are you going to do believe what God says is true or believe that God lied three times in the bible.

#5 after realizing what has taken place he becomes very happy. Says I must be born again. Well why don't we check it out I said. Tell me do you feel any different down in your gut than you did when we first started talking. Now suddenly he begins to say, yes! yes! yes! Now out off the car comes the lady. The lady is his mother. I had originally thought she was a girlfriend. Realizing what has happened mother is beside herself with joy and highly complementary to me.
---Mima on 5/12/07

#6 after telling me what a fine person I am and what a wonderful man of God I am and everything I tell her planely. Lady I am just an old man who delivered the message of how a person can be saved to your son. God and God alone gets all the credit. In fact without Gods nudging I wouldn't even be out here.--- Tell me I am bragging, tell me I am full of myself, but please get mad enough to try this yourself

#1 Here is what happened. While in a public parking lot I was giving out free popcorn to everyone who wanted some.(Last winter my partner and I bought a popcorn machine and generateor) when this young man approaches to get his free bag of popcorn I asked him this question." Are you absolutely, positively, certain sure, no doubt in your mind that you will go to heaven when you die.

mima,I have no problem with your posts, they encourage me,and excite my spirit.but some here evidently aren,t encouraged and happy about people being saved.they have a bad,or wrong attitude towards your gift of winning souls for the kingdom.

I agree with butterflies. It sounds as though you are giving yourself the credit for the young man accepting Christ when the credit and Glory is all GODS.

Dear Mima,

I applaud you for your inspirations, this should be an everyday occurance in the life of Christians, But sadly Christians rise up in hatred against other Christians wasting there valuable moments fighting one another, instead of Walking in the Exousia Power of The Holy Spirit, These are hypocrites with Religious Spirits, they may pose as an angel of light, but it won't be long before you are able to tell the imposter, brag of 40 years as christian, Whitewashed tombs, Absolutely no LOVE.
