Someone Propecied For Me

Hi for some reason I feel as if the Holy Spirit is leading me to have someone prophecied for me. Can anyone help direct me, where I might be able to have someone do this?

Pray and pray again, my friend. We have way too many people in the world ruining God's good name and God's people's good name as God's true Saints. Promise me you will pray a lot.

I know this is, probably, way-late (and probably a dollar short, too), but, I think it still applies:

Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds,

Doesn't anyone ever read the Bible, around here? The whole purpose of the OT was to prophesy Jesus. The purpose of the NT is Jesus fulfilled. What other prophet do we need?

If the Holy Spirit wants someone to prophesy to you, you will not need to seek someone. He will send them to you. He always knows where you are at.

Jack, I share what I've learned, as you do.
It is not my desire to enter in to a state of hostility, or power struggle with you.
If the Moderator doesn't like what I share, he'll lay the axe to my blogs.
I enjoy Christian bloggers.
We know them by their fruits...Matt 7:16-17,
Matt 12:29

Jack, is it all women you don't really care for, or those who answer the blogs?
Would you prefer for them to use men's names?
---Chris on 7/7/07

Jack, Jack.... in prayer.
For we wrestle not against flesh or blood but principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.
God is no respector of persons when it comes to prayer. I hold no authority over a man on earth, but in prayer, I have authority in the Name of Jesus to pray. Jack, I can pray all day and all night, too. I can wake up in the middle of the night and pray until the early morning hours.

Jesus, the Word, is the axe to be laid to the root. Any root or tree that does not yield good fruit is to be hewn down by the Word of God.
Luke 3:9
The axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Proverbs 12:12
The root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
---Michelle on 7/7/07

When I was a child, I prayed as a child, but my prayers had to grow up in 1984, when a friend of mine was in a car wreck. The Word of God is/was the replacing root for all bad fruit.
Hebrews 12:15-17
Looking carefully lest any one be falling behind from the favor of God; that no root with bitter fruit grow up to trouble you.

Be carefall in seeking out strange spirits, the Bible is filled with prophecies if you are looking for someone to prophesy to you try the Holy Spirit. I'd rather you look to God's word for guidence then to be led a stray by strange spirits.
---Marcia on 7/7/07

**I've laid the axe to root of ungodly spirits. **

And if anyone questions this, just ask, and you'll TELL them so which removes all doubts and skepticism. Right, Michelle?
---Jack on 7/6/07

I've encountered spiritual witchcraft in the church. False prophets, false teachers, false gospels, false and fleshy moves of God. I've laid the axe to root of ungodly spirits. I don't have a lofty title, I don't claim any authority over a man in church, but I do have authority in the Name of Jesus to fight against spiritual wickedness.
I don't look for demons under and around every bush, but it's something I can recognize, discern if I have to.

If you seldom encounter any opposition from the enemy, better check your thermostat. Wouldn't want to turn lukewarm, or let your Pilot Light go dim. If you're no threat to the enemy's camp, he does tend to leave you alone.

The Holy Spirit reveals good and evil, true and false. I know the voice of my Father, and I obey.
God's prophets were called to watch, which sometimes demanded unusual and difficult journeys. Isaiah was privy to the conversation of God. Elisha heard the plans of the enemy and revealed them to the King.
A genuine prophecy includes direction as well as affirmation.
---Rachel on 7/5/07

Jacob acted upon God's voice and instruction and Israel emerged. We can still see the effects of Jacob's obedience today.
God's prophet is an instrument of God. He offers an opportunity to the believer to have a God moment or connection with Jesus Christ.
I know a false prophet when I hear one. I've known the difference since I was about 5 or 6 years old. A stranger's voice, I will not follow.

**The minute she started, I knew it was spiritual witchcraft.**

I understand your concern, Rachel, but in my own experience and observation, most such people don't have enough spiritual or mental oomph to make it up to the level of witchcraft.
---Jack on 7/5/07

Any prophecy that is not in line with the word of God speaking only of things to come, prophesying /event/completion is of God. Anything else is False. Apart from Holy men of God proven to be such spoke pretaining to fullfil the the written scriptures. I encourage those and otherwise to search the scriptures for in them are all we need to come to pass.Any other prophet is false because they speak concerning the flesh nothing to do with God's word.
---Carla5754 on 7/5/07

That is not Scriptural. If you are to be prophesied to, the Lord will have it happen, but it is not Scriptural to seek such a thing. Lay it down.
---Helen_5378 on 7/5/07

Please don't look for someone to prophesy to you. It was a similar situation that led me to CN.
I went to a womens' bible study. There was a controlling woman there who is a self appointed prophet. She was passing around a tape recorder to each woman there so she could prophesy and give you a tape to take home like a parting gift. It was similar to a tupperware party, only destructive.

The last thing I wanted was a word from this woman. The minute she started, I knew it was spiritual witchcraft. The leader of the group said, it's your turn, move to the center of the circle and we'll let Prophet Inyourface pray for you. I said, "No, I don't want to." I headed for the door and that woman started after me. She beat me to the door and grabbed my upper arms, aggressive and driven - I knew she was not operating with the Holy Spirit.
---Rachel on 7/4/07

The demonic word she gave me was horrid. She was furious that I would dare say "NO" to her. As she gave it, I told her that I didn't know what she was saying, it did not witness with me. It made her furious. I left and I have never been back.
I renounced that word off of myself, it was witchcraft. I don't believe in seeking out words. I've been a Christian for a very long time. I know I can receive from the Lord whatever I need to receive. I can hear His Voice and I have His Word.
---Rachel on 7/4/07

More than a year later, the devil will bring that word back to my memory and I rebuke it in the Name of Jesus.
There is not single word from a false prophet that is worth the peace of God. Not one. A false word will bring you torment.
It's far better to hear God's Voice for yourself than heap up false words spoken over your life. A true prophet is not a mantle you can pick up because you want to be one.
---Rachel on 7/4/07

I was invited back many times to the bible group. The false prophet is still in charge, handing out tapes. My shadow won't darken the door.
The best thing, I came home and typed Christian blogs into my search engine. I found CN and unique personalities, views. I believe I was led by the Holy Spirit to do so. What the enemy meant for harm, God can use for our good.

Send a Free Funny Birthday Ecard

Remember when Dives wanted Lazarus to be sent to "give a word" and "prophesy" to his brothers?

What did Abraham reply? "They have Moses and the Prophets. Let them hear those words."

Moses, you have a whole BOOK of God's word for you. Try reading it.
---Jack on 7/4/07

Moses what your asking for is a ''christian medium'' God has NO dealings with the devil and the devils work, what you ask for is people who have no vision unless they have vulnerable Bible ignorant people to try out their fallacy on, Who run down anything with the word Prophecy in it. Have you got a skill that you could share or a gift you could benefit the poor with, that would prosper you far better than the untruths you chose and seek.
---Carla5754 on 7/4/07

If God wants to give you a message from him, he will give it to you somehow, someway. You don't need to do anything but wait on God. You can't force a word from God. If someone tells you something and they saw it is from God, try their sprirt to see if they be of God or not, then I would ask God for confirmation from someone else that has no idea what's going on. Not everyone that says, Thus saith the Lord, will be a message from God.

Sometimes when we are not focused on the Lord and do not have specific goals or a direction for our life, people seek out something like fortune telling to give them vision and meaning. It gives them a false sense of security and comfort to know something is going to happen in the future. The problem is that seeking out so called Prophetic words is dangereous as they are most likely incorrect and cannot replace what you and God plan for your life. You need faith and vision of your own. Seek God.

---Susie on 7/3/07

Moses, you're just as capable of hearing from God for yourself as anyone else is--if not more so.

What you're asking about is NOT being "prophesied to" but fortune-telling with a Christian veneer.

If God has a special message for you, He'll get it to you without your treading on such dangerous ground.

Remember, Jesus said, "These signs shall follow believers," not "Believers shall chase after signs."
---Jack on 7/3/07

Yea, the Bible. It will tell you all you need to know.
Here is my "prophecy" for you.... Stop trying to do things the "easy way" and follow God's Written Word.
You will be surprised how little you need all of the "other things" when you turn to the Word.

LOL. Janine, you crack me up! Way to "keep it real".

Moses, Susie has her head on straight, I'd listen to her advice on this one.
I pray you do, and that God blesses you with wisdom from on high in your search.
---Katie on 7/3/07

In the first place, God will send someone,if this is indeed His will. And in the second place, they will not do so unless the power of God is upon them, It is impossible. And the third place, The gift of prophecy one may have and still not be a prophet. Although to be a prophet one must have the gift of prophecy. True Prophets are not a dime a dozen. And also every spiritual gift is a rarity. All can only be operated under the influence of the Person of the Holy Spirit.
---catherine on 7/3/07

IHOP has prophecing rooms check that out...but really a prophecy is a message from God so i could say God loves you soo much and that would be prophecing to you...and it passes the test, it agrees w/ the word of God...
---mark_B. on 7/3/07

Well, Moses, we have a bevy of prophets perusing these blogs. So far, they're batting about zero, but if you go looking for a word, you'll find one. It probably won't be God, and it might mess with your head/heart. I agree, seek God on your own. He's more than able to give you a word.

According to Scripture, one place that gifts of the spirit are used is in the assembly, to build the body of Christ. Go to some gathering places and let the Spirit lead. I'm sure you will get direction.
---john on 7/3/07

Mose...Nobody can direct you to anyone who is going to prophecy over you. The Holy Spirit can direct a prophet (a true one) to prophecy over you if that is what is God's will. Lots of people go around trying to find someone to give them a word from the Lord. But, the best way to get a word from the Lord is to pray, study and listen.
