Neither, they are both in the same boat. I think we need to really pray for the person that God the Father would choose. The word says that He is the one who sets man in place to run the nations.

It is ridiculous to claim that GWB led us to war on "lies". There are very clear statements from prominent Democrats, including the Klintons, that Saddam had WMDs, had used them, and needed to be stopped before he used them again. They had exactly the same info as GWB. Their current opposition to the war is purely with an eye on the polls, not integrity.

And those who want to pull out: what then? You want another horrid bloodbath, preceded by desperate Iraqis clinging to American helicopters, as with the cut-and-run in Vietnam?

And even if you are a Surrendocrat happy to lose, think about the disaster of terrorists claiming victory. Nothing will do more to embolden them and encourage new recruits than America's chickening out of fighting them
---Ktisophilos on 7/17/07

Mary: Lets look at the overall statement you made about war in general. You seem to state that a Pres. or country should never go to war and that is unrealistic. While Saddam/Iraq were not responsible for 9/11, they were responsible for the deaths of thousands maybe millions by genocide. Is that acceptable? Should a developed nation sit back and do nothing? Think holocaust ...

Mary, the terrorists certainly think that Iraq is important! They also haven,t forgotten what a benefactor Saddam was to the families of suicide bombers. That's why they are causing mayhem, in the hope that the Defeatocrats and RINOs will turn tail and run. It was Klinton's cutting and running from Somalia that emboldened Osama with the idea that America is a paper tiger. The result of surrender in Iraq will be a bloodbath, just like what happened when we cut and run from Vietnam.

Debbieinohio: Sorry, but Iraq and Saddam were not responsible for 9/11! The ones who were are dead or in hiding now and we've failed miserably at finding the leader of it all. Bush claims this is a war to bring "freedom" to a helpless people--but if that were true, the US could just start wars in many other places!

Jody claims: "I do not vote and contribute to the wickedness of the nation."

But NOT voting is "contributing to the wickedness of the nation," by not punishing the wicked in power.

There are pro-life Democrats, but they are marginalized by their party. This went even to the extreme of denying the popular Democratic Governor of PA, Bob Casey Sr., a speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention in 1992, because of his pro-life views. The current Dem candidates are all rabid pro-aborts, even partial birth abortion. Any professing Christian who votes for them has the blood of countless babies on their hands.

nurserobert: "Ron, is there such a thing as an ethical republican?"

Is there such a thing as an ethical democrat, or any other politician?
---Christina on 7/13/07

Ralph: Are you serious? Why on earth would you want to deny women the right to vote? That is ridiculous. I cannot believe that a man in this century would think such a thing.

Sometimes I wonder whether the 19th Amendment was really such a good idea.

Mary: Amen and amen.

Ron, is there such a thing as an ethical republican?
---NurseRobert on 7/12/07

Mary: Are you saying that if our president is pro-life, we should NEVER go to war because there would be loss of life? That is unrealistic and unfair to say. A president sometimes has to choose war. Even God will be drawn into war with Satan. I prefer a president that stands up for his country and protects the majority. While I do not wish for loss of life, I also am mature enough to know it does happen. Look at 9/11. Those were not even soldiers!
---Debbie_in_Ohio on 7/12/07

Yes there are pro-life democrats just as there are pro-choice republicans, Laura Bush being one of them.

I hope to vote as the Lord leads, not as I think best. His ways are higher then mine and His thoughts higher then mine.

Hi Ron, I have to ask in response to your question: Is there such a thing as a pro-life war mongerer? We apparently have one in office now. Claims to be pro-life but has cost countless thousands of lives--many of them American lives. Just my 2 cents or maybe 3 cents lol

Is there such thing as a Pro-life Democrat?
---ron on 7/11/07

I would only vote for a pro-life candidate as long as their other views are moral and ethical. Of course, one never knows for sure how another person really thinks.
---Susie on 7/11/07

They say one thing and then another. I do not vote and contribute to the wickedness of the nation. At this point, there is wickedness in all of the high places and that wickedness is reflecting down into the entire society. We must all pray that the officials and the Nation turn and cry out to God and repent as a nation before harsh judgement comes upon us or we fall into the hands of an enemy religious group who will put us into bondage. We must pray that Gods truth be made known to all.

Were there a pro-life Democrat running, that candidate would have my vote.

I hope I'm not forced into voting for Giuliani. He might be the lesser of two evils.
---Jack on 7/11/07

Giuliani, Romney, McCain are all good choices I just thing that Fred Thompson could be a better Choice. We need to keep our troop in Iraq and Afghanistan until the mission is completed, if it takes 50 years. The stakes are just to great to pull out prematurely. Fundamentalist Islam is the enemy of Western civilization and we can not co exist with it. It must be actively preempted at all levels of conflict including salted nuclear area denial employment making Iran uninhabitable for a protracted period.

I will vote for a Democrat regardless of view on choice.
