We are dead to sin, NOT alive to sin.
---duane on 9/11/07

Say this everyday and mean it:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS are those questions that will solicit additional information from the inquirer. Sometimes called infinite response or unsaturated type questions.

CLOSED-ENDED QUESTIONS are those questions, which can be answered finitely by either yes or no. Also known as dichotomous or saturated type questions.
---Marcia on 8/7/07

Marcia: Say what? Explain what you mean. What is quetion? Did you mean question? If so your the one who asked me a question and I replied back to you, remember?
---Rebecca_D on 8/6/07

I take your quetion as a compliment. THANKYOU BELOVED.
---Marcia on 8/6/07

Rebecca D.

The quetion is a close ended quetion not an open ended quetion.
---Marcia on 8/6/07

Marica, I believe that a person can only get saved once. And after that we must repent of our sins. I believe that once a person gets saved, they must seek God everyday to strive to get closer to him. If not, then I'd question their desire.
---Rebecca_D on 8/4/07

Marcia Kathr, it's always been true for you, whether you pretend that you're 23 or 58. That part has always been true for you.
---Terry on 8/4/07

Rebecca_D >>

I agree with you that OSAS is not true for everyone.

However OSAS is true for me.

Is OSAS true for you?
---Marcia on 8/3/07

Marcia: yes alot of people do get saved. But only those few will make it into heaven. The rest backslide and are on their way to hell. The people you talked about being selfish Christians, I call them lukewarm Christians. They still go to church, pay tithes, visit the sick and this and that, but still will not put forth an effort to get closer to God. So we do agree on something. Yay, I knew we could agree on something.
---Rebecca_D on 8/3/07

Rebecca D:

I heard a serman on reprobates, those who blaspheme against the spirit, and those who sin unto death. I am convinced, it is 100% scriptually true. A person can get saved but however deny christ as Lord not yeilding the thrown of their heart to the Holy Spirit and sin unto death damning their own soul to HELL. I call them selfish Christians who want to wear the crown, but won't carry their cross. Thanks for your efforts!!
---Marcia on 8/2/07

Marcia: You can't just make a statement without explaining your meaning. This is my statement, you don't understand God's word when it comes to unconfessed sin. Confess means to admit a fault or a sin. Now, I ask you again Marica, can a dead person admit their sins to God?
---Rebecca_D on 8/2/07

Here is the bottom line: No conviction of Sin No true repentance No Salvation. If anyone believes that they can get to Heaven an easier way than me, All I can say is try it. You will end up in Hell. The road to heaven is paved with Blood, Sweat, and Tears. To endure to the end you will be saved to do that you must be born-again and you must walk close to the Lord thy God. Have a pleasant night everyone.++

Your doing good, but Some will not accept truth.

Marcia, we don't need the old blog treatment.
Rule #3, Don't use all capital letters.
By the way, you're not really 23 yrs old, are you. More like 58 yrs old.

Marica: If a person is guilty of the things they've done, they should confess that they have sinned Lev 5:5. Job 33:27-28 tells us if say thay have sinned and made it right with God (confessing) he shall save his soul from going into the pit (hell). A person whom covers their sin shall not prosper but who confesses their sin forsake them shall have mercy. Study your bible, please. Cause you don't understand this topic.
---Rebecca_D on 8/2/07

God knows your heart and if you have a penitent heart yes you will go to heaven. Also, it is important if you are saved to get close to God and stay close to God then even if you had the biggest fight with your moma you will still go to heaven. God never saves perfect people. Infact, most times the more unperfect you are, well God seems to just delight in saving. Can't figure that one out.
---catherine on 8/1/07

If a person dies with unconfessed sin in their lives they will go to Heaven. Jesus took on all our sins when he died on the Cross. Past, Present, and future. Nothing can separate us from the love of God not things present or things to come etc. if you are in Christ you are a new creture, old things have passed away. There is no condemnation if you are in Christ Jesus.
---Marcia on 7/31/07

Trish, Yes I do believe that the Holy Spirit will leave a person if their not abiding in God. One can't straddle the fence of God and Satan. The bible says the just shall live by faith and if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Heb 10:38. If you believe the Holy Spirit can't leave a person, read Lu 11:24-26. The unclean spirit left a person when they got saved. When that person stopped abiding in God, that same unclean spirit came back that person with 7 other buddies.

If the sins aren't counted against every person that was ever saved, good Lord, hell will be somewhat empty. Let's all just rip those pages out of our bible's that tells us to repent. Because we don't have to repent for anything we do. Yeah right, NOT. I can't agree with this, because it goes against God's word.
---Rebecca_D on 7/30/07

I'm assuming that you mean they have deliberately chosen to hold on to the sin.
Well Jesus has a problem... If he took one person to heaven who is unrepentant and disobedient to the will of God, then he'd have to take the devil back. Otherwise the devil would have a case of discrimination. Well He isn't going to take the devil back so He can't take the unrepentant back either.
Question: Is there any sin that the Holy Spirit is convicting you of?
---Robin on 7/30/07

This post is very good and very correct."Real born again christians dont need to ask forgiveness of sin, they ARE forgiven, THERE SINS ARE NOT COUNTED AGAINST THEM.We are saints, not sinners...We have imputed rigteousness. A real christian is not alive to sin,,,We are alive to God. ---duane on 7/29/07 "
---Mina on 7/30/07

we will be judged for all things when we get to heaven,we are all sins not one is rightouess.if the lord his dealing with you with some sin against someone else i suggest you go to that person.the holy spirit convicts us of any sin within.

Rebecca: Do you believe that the Holy Spirit leaves believers? I don't. Once we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, we are never abandoned by God. The Holy Spirit is not going to Hell, therefore we don't go there either.
---Trish9863 on 7/30/07

There are so many people who have been killed suddenly, leaving their families (esp. Christian relatives) to wonder if they were "ready to go." I don't think it is a comfort to imply that if a person was saved years ago, but did not follow Christ daily-they went to Heaven. I just don't think that getting to Heaven is that "easy." We are called to be different from the world. "Like the world" will not make it to Heaven.
---melissa on 7/29/07

How does anyone know for sure that when someone is dying before their last breath they did not repent unless you are that person? Don't worry so much about these issues and start preparing for what is about to come sooner than you might think. Dont be caught without oil like the 5 maidens who could not go out to meet the bridegroom for lack of it.
---Trish on 7/29/07

It is like a broken record with many here. Lets say it again for them. "Except ye repent, Ye shall NOT enter the kingdom of God." It makes no difference if you are a man, woman, the pope or pastor of a church. If you choose to disobey God and do not ask for forgiveness for your actions. YOU ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST. you are deceiving yourself and when you are cast out at the last day, try telling Jesus oh I said everyone is saved. You didn't, but I did so let me in.

I believe that everyone should get on their knees and beg God to forgive them of all of their sins. Past, present, and future sins. Stop looking at the neighbors and what they are doing or not doing and each individual beg God to forgive them of their sins. And not to forget us when we are six feet under. All believers should do this and mabe the unbelievers will get under conviction and by the Blood of Christ be saved. Instead of praying for this or that. [STUFF]
---catherine on 7/29/07

No one goes to heaver before the general resurrection and your status is determined at Judgement. So confession or non confession of sins prior to death is is of no consequence to the Elect for all of their sins have already been atoned for by Christ.
---Phil_the_Elder on 7/29/07

Madison: If your going to quote scripture, please don't leave parts out. I tell you except ye repent, ye all shall likewise perish. What? he said repent. If we confess our sins, If we do what? confess our sins? he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Oh, so one must confess and repent of their sins. Thank you Lord, for writing that down, I think people tore those passages out. And also Rev 2:5, 3:2-5.
---Rebecca_D on 7/28/07

If I am "in Christ," Eph.1-2, then I will be concerned with pleasing God. It is not about me, it's about God Who chose me before the creation of the universe in love. Only God is allowed to say who will go to heaven or hades. Col. 3 talks about this--when we trusted in Christ, we were hidden with Christ in God, but we must die to the sins in our lives daily.
---Ang on 7/28/07

In Mark 3:29 and Luke 12:10, Jesus said that all sins would be forgiven, except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. He did not say "all sins repented of" would be forgiven, he said "all sins" would be forgiven.

Otherwise, our salvation would ultimately depend on a game of Russian Roulette, on whether we committed one itty bitty sin just before we died, that we hadn't had time to repent of yet.
---Mark on 7/28/07

Rebecca: Please explain Romans 8:1-2 for me.

"1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,[a] 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death."

Lets try not to second guess God. The Bible never tells us not to repent continuously. If you are a true believer you still sin all of the time. Do you want to go to heaven or not? Any true believer will continuously ask God for forgiveness of their sins. God also will bring conviction of sin on a true believer. What do you do when that happens? Come on now. A smart man or woman of God will quickly ask God for forgiveness. Never, ever, take your salvation for granted.
---catherine on 7/28/07

All things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry-service & aid-of reconciliation. For when we were enemies, we where reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled we shall be save by His life. Having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him, to reconcile all things unto HImself. Behold the lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world" 2Cor.5:18,20>Rom.5:10>Col.1:20>Jn.1:29
---Josef on 7/28/07

You people talk a bunch of junk...
Christians are always forgiven..IF NOT, then there is no salvation.
Jesus became sin for you, so you could be set free from sin. Jesus took sin away. Jesus is the sin bearer.
...Dont distroy the Gosple....
---duane on 7/28/07

Of course. It is just that they will have to answer to that sin since it was unconfessed while on earth. They may lose some of their reward. But they will go to heaven if they were Born again.

We need to have an attitude of repentance and obedience to the will of God. It is the Holy Spirit's job to convict us of sin and when we come under conviction, we need to be willing to confess and repent. Fortunately, the Holy Spirit does not overwhelm us at once with all of our sinfullness. It is a gradual process of growing. We are not held accountable for sins that we are unaware of. Only those that the Holy Spirit has brought to our awareness.
---Robin on 7/28/07

"They can go to Heaven, but they will be judged for their sin, and may face the punishment of the torture of Hell." This statement has a person going to Heaven and yet facing punishment Of the torture of Hell. Statement has many problems. First those going to Heaven have escaped judgment for the Lord Jesus Christ has been judged for them. Second there will be no sorrows in heaven, and certainly the tortures of Hell would be sorrows!!!!
---Mima on 7/28/07

I agree with Mima. We could die within a split second of sinning and according to some we would then be on our way to hell. What did Jesus die for if it wasn't for ALL our sins. I personally believe that He died for those that I have not yet committed. That does not mean I can live any way I like but I do believe that once saved I am secure for EVER.
---RitaH on 7/28/07

There is no getting out of hell on good behavior like prison. Andrea: I am no longer a sinner, I am a child of God saved by grace. Yes the bible says have God to search your heart to see if there be anything hidden. (unconfessed sins). And the bible also says that if we don't repent and do our first works over, we can't enter into heaven. You people need to read up on repenting. Because you don't know God's word. I don't make this stuff up as I go along.

"We must repent daily. Unrepented sins are unforgiven." If these two statements are true then you can forget about daily repentance in fact even hourly repentance would not do. Nothing but being in total repentance of all your sins at the moment of your death will suffice. Even that will not do simply because we are not aware of all our sins. How can a man be in repentance of sin he doesn't know of?
---Mima on 7/28/07

We all commit sins that we are not aware of, and therefore have not repented from. We are ALL sinners - confessed or not. You must confess (Jesus) with your mouth and believe in your heart..... IT DOES NOT SAY and repent of each and every sin.
---Andrea on 7/28/07

They can go to Heaven, but they will be judged for their sin, and may face the punishment of the torture of Hell, because these sins were not covered in Christ's blood. A murderer who has changed his life completely will still have to face prison time for that murder, but may get reduced time for good behavior, for example.
---Leslie on 7/27/07

Example: Take a person whom has been born again. Doesn't matter how long. What if this person (for some odd reason) takes another life. While in prison, someone takes their life. Before this person died they didn't confess/repent of this murder. From some of you, this person will go to heaven because he was saved. Unconfessed sin is unconfessed sin, now matter how you look at it.

Yes. We are not saved based on our works. We are saved based on Christ's works. The born again spirit is not touched by sin. It is sealed (vacuum packed) against anything external.
---Linda on 7/27/07

I don't believe they will. How can God forgive someone if they don't ask? Job 33:27-28, Pr 28:13. Lk 13:3, Heb 6:4-6, Rev 2:5. Just because a person gets saved, that doesn't mean they don't have to repent of their sins. We must repent daily. Unrepented sins are unforgiven.
---Rebecca_D on 7/27/07

Yes mima....For there is no condemnation(damnatory sentence) for those in Christ Jesus.
---JIM on 7/27/07

How many sins did Jesus pay for on the cross of Calvary. 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%? The person who receives the Lord Jesus Christ and ask him to forgive them of their sins. They are saved! If they have not asked for forgiveness of their sins. They are lost! Both die with sins but one has been forgiven!!!!!!
