.jodymartin, the housing belongs to the Lord and the Bride, and is therefore sanctified.

Jesus, and the Bride are the parts of the church that are sacred. The rest is housing.

Emcee, It's my pleasure.

Eloy Thank you for the info.

Emcee, Speaking of the Christian denomination, the Pentecostal Church began the 50th (pente) day after 7 complete weeks after Passover. It was called the Feast of Weeks. The Christian festival is on the 7th Sunday after the Resurrection Day, and celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the believers, the gift of speaking in new tongues, and the bringing in of new converts.

Emcee, Basically the Pentecostal church is unornate and plain. There's the entrance into a lobby, a place to hang your coats, and then another set of double doors that enters into the holy sanctuary. There are pews on both sides with a center isle leading up to the pulpit/podium. There may be a Cross up front on the back wall or a muriel. Windows are along either walls with curtains. And the Spirit inside and around the church is God's Spirit, which everyone of us his children loves alot.

Eloy:: would a pentacostal church fall into this category I have never entered a Pentupcostall what does it contain by way of visual distinction.

Every thing in Papa's house is sacred. But know that there are many nonChristian churches, or churches in name only which are not true churches, where no thing is sacred in them.

Does it have to be? I remember as a child I and others, were scared into believing this lie about the church. We were scared to walk in the pulpit, challenge the bible, preachers, even afraid of God. Everything was eerie, ghostlike. Utter nonsense! I am glad God has delivered me from all of this tradition and foolishness! I knew even as a kid something was wrong with this. I left the church when I became of age. But I am glad the Lord revealed the truth to me. I am back!.

Let me say in the defense of the church: The pulpit should be sacred, I think people should refrain from chewing gum/eating candy. No walking during prayer.Raise hand if you must leave before church is over. Respect the speaker/preacher while they have the floor. Those type things should be heeded. More discipline and respect should be shown in the churches today. I don't know if these things are considered sacred.

I understand exactly where your coming from very few and far between are most things ever sacred including some ''church Doctrines /practices'' yet all profess to be of God. Wide is the road to distruction but narrow is the way to salvation and few there be that find it!

The Pulpit. Anything can walk through the church doors. but not just anything should be behind the pulpit. If a person is living in sin or straddling the fence, they should NOT be allowed behind the pulpit. That is a disgrace to others as well as to God.

bible, that is, God's words

When you gather together as a body of Believers to worship and lift up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in all His Glory and Splendor, then that is very sacred. Our God should be magnified, for He is so Holy and worthy to be Praised. We are His people, we are the church. The Bride of Christ Jesus.

Jesus Christ and The Eucharist. They are both Sacred.

Susie it sounds great. Should we start to give the addresses of our churches if they're really worth the travel?

The presence of the Holy Spirit is if he should show up. I also believe that baptism and communion are sacred for those who believe.

Certainly nothing on the Church Secretary's Desk or her Supply Cabinet, for every one is always bowwowing all of her pens, pencils, stapler & supplies for what ever purpose any where else in the church, depriving them of her just use when she needs them.

That is always been an on going Joke among church staffers. "On the Church Secretary's Desk nothing is scared"!!!

The most precious entity in the churches today is some wonderful Christian people who cannot understand what is happening. Their hearts are broken by all the ridiculous ungodly things in the church. Such as gays marrying gays and such.

At the church we attend, Jesus is VERY sacred. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit the church services are done with reverence and awe to the wonderful, saving grace of Jesus. The church is not a gossip church, but is a church which offers a Christian fellowship of love and forgiveness. People are getting born again, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit in every service. We have homeless people who walk in off the street and are made welcome.
