Judged By Our Knowledge

Is Luke 12:47 and 48 a reference to how Christians will be judged (according to how they used the knowledge they had of Jesus)? Does this tell us anything about those who know absolutely nothing about Him?

James 3: Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged WITH GREATER STRICTNESS.
---carla_cowart on 9/27/13

No, but it does tell us we will be held accountable for what we do with the knowledge we are given by Holy Spirit and the knowledge we gain by studying and reading His word.

Everyone, regardless when or where they live will be judged equally. every thought, action and word spoken by them. Jesus taught us that when he taught the spirits in prison. He's no respector of persons. everyone has the opportunity to hear the gospel. Whether they accept or reject it lies solely with them. We are taught in the bible that the same spirit that leads us in life will also have power over us after death. We follow Jesus with all our heart and strength or we don't. there is no in between.

We will be judged by out unwillingness to know God for sure. Get ahold of this: Theophany>>>Physical appearance or personal manifestation of a god to a person. The Bible tells us that people did see God. Moses spoke to God face to face. Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel, Giants among the prophets, saw God in visions.>>>NOTE: God's pronouncement in numbers 12:6-8, which was quite unlike that of Deut. 4:12-15, where only a voice was granted. Does God still reveal Himself as back then? YES.

This really came together for me today. I thought back on all the problems that Kathr4453 has had with ministers and churches. It all makes sense.
catherine/Katherine had no use for ministers/preachers/pastors. I believe they'd told their share of them off and had been told to leave churches/congregations. catherine was another personality of Kathr4453 and now Prodigal24 and catherine are leaving, starting their own church. Yep, I see it now, with not too many wrinklies.

"I CAME TO BRING FIRE ON THE EARTH. And how I wish it were already set ablaze! Not my words, God's words.>>>>
Now this:>>>Death and Judgment will be very terrible to all wicked people, but especially to WICKED MINISTERS. It will be a surprise to them: at an hour when they are not aware. ---catherine on 8/19/07 "

I do see it today. Now I know Kathr is not really leaving. We are already seeing new names and new demographics.

Didn't Jesus himself go and preach his gospel to those who had died in the spirit prison, so everyone has the opportunity to hear his gospel and accept or reject it. God is no respector of persons. everyone has the same opportunity whether they live today or a thousand years ago to hear his gospel. God knew many people would live in countries where they couldn't know him. He prepared ways for everyone to receive his gospel, baptism etc either here or after they die. doesn't anyone read the bible anymore?

RitaH - ("Helen, you obviously agree with Yoshin then, when he says "Seems like you are damned before you get started.") -- No I don't agree. As I said God will get the gospel to those who He knows, by His foreknowledge, will say yes to His Son Jesus. God will save all who will come to Him. I don't believe for a moment God would let a person perish in Hell when He knew that person would say yes and get saved. The thief on the cross got saved by saying "Lord, remember me..".
---Helen_5378 on 8/19/07

Catherine, that was completely unscriptural and no where to be found in the Bible.
That was not a prophetic word, but a curse from your own mind.

Do you know any Scripture from the Bible that you could actually back that up with?
No? That's right, no. Because there is no such prophecy in the Bible.
---Leonard on 8/19/07

It is also evident, you've had some big problems with ministers in the past. They've probably shut you down in the Church?
Have you ever stood up and just blurted out something like you just blurted out here?
I would imagine so, and they had to tell you that you were way out of line. You're mad at all of them now, but it you did that, they were correct.
---Leonard on 8/19/07

RitaH, You're so welcome :) God gives us His Word, it is our very life, He said come let us reason together. When the Holy Spirit isn't hindered, the Lord does just that, reasons with a person, in regard to His Will, His Truth (Psalm 119:105). God Bless!

"...the concern of many is the people who have already died in nations where Christ has not been preached..."

RitaH, All we can say is that God is JUST (Psalm 96:10-13), it's sad that people die lost, Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, workers FEW. Since most of the Church is in a Apostate/lukewarm condition, including most ministers, they are a hinderance to God's Work, just think how many damned souls would be in heaven,if more Christians were really on fire for Jesus.
---Mrs._Morgan on 8/19/07

Helen, you obviously agree with Yoshin then, when he says "Seems like you are damned before you get started." Mrs. Morgan, thank you for that verse which I have read. I agree with you that this time is very close. What I find is the concern of many is the people who have already died in nations where Christ has not been preached - they never had a chance. Do you agree with Helen and Yoshin on this point?
---RitaH on 8/19/07

I CAME TO BRING FIRE ON THE EARTH. And how I wish it were already set ablaze! Not my words, God's words.>>>> The Scriptures however, are talking about believers seeking the will of God and doing or not doing the will of God. We are to find out. When you find out we are to do it. Now this:>>>Death and Judgment will be very terrible to all wicked people, but especially to WICKED MINISTERS. It will be a surprise to them: at an hour when they are not aware. See that steven.

Hi RitaH :)

The Word says that when the gospel of Christ is preached to ALL the nations, then the end will come (Matthew 24:14,15), the beginning of the end happens when the Rapture occurs(no one knows the exact time that will be) & the world goes into the 7 year Tribulation Period, it's very close, doesn't the Spirit remind you of that often? He's reminding the Bride of this, daily! Hurry, hurry, get the harvest in before it goes to waste. God Bless!
---Mrs._Morgan on 8/18/07

RitaH - No, I believe that God will not accept those who do not believe in His Son Jesus, no matter what the reason. Jesus says in John 3:18 "He who does not believe stands condemned already". A person can ONLY enter Heaven if in Christ, i.e. born-again. God knows who will say yes to Jesus and He gets the gospel to those people.

I don't think that I made my question as clear as I could have. What I mean by 'those who know absolutely nothing about Him' is those who have never been reached with the gospel. People in remote areas of the world have never been visited by a missionary. The bible says that man is without excuse because God has revealed Himself through nature etc....
---RitaH on 8/18/07

2. I believe that this means that God expects everyone to believe in a Creator of all things, but people need to be told specifically of Jesus role in our salvation to understand that. What I am asking is will God accept those who believe in a Creator but do not believe in His Son simply because no-one ever revealed His Son to them?
---RitaH on 8/18/07

The Bible is clear, if God sent you to be born in a pagan country where you would not hear about Jesus, you are the creek without a paddle. Seems like you are damned before you get started.
---yoshin on 8/18/07

Everyone will be judged by God, on every good and bad thing they've done. The more knowledge we have of God, the more God requires of us. These verses means just exactly what it says. There will be people who have not heard of the name God. God will still judge them, but by their conscience. As he has given everyone a conscience.

Good question Rita. Our lives should be lived as if the Lord is going to appear the next moment and we will have to give an account of ourselves to Him. We feel like we get by with things, but in reality we get by with nothing. He will judge us in order to see if we are worthy or not to receive rewards. There will be degrees of rewards for believers according to the knowledge we have recieved.
---Cynthia on 8/17/07

We will be judged by every action, thought, deed, and word that leaves our mouths. The only thing we keep from this world is our knowledge and memories. Everyone will receive the same knowledge of Jesus Christ, either in this life or after death. God is no respecter of persons and gives everyone the opportunity to accept or reject him. The bible teaches us, even he taught the spirits in prison so they would know the gospel and have the chance to accept or reject him.

(1.)RitaH, God is the perfect Judge, because He knows ALL things, Ho knows those who are His (2 Corinth. 10:3-6), and those who are not,He knows motives/the heart & how much knowledge one has in regard to His Word.
---Mrs._Morgan on 8/17/07

(2.)RitaH, Many in the Church are without knowledge/godly wisdom because they simply refuse it (2 Timothy 3:7) & then there are those who dont even have the Spirit at all(including many Christians), God hardens their hearts like Pharaoh (2 Thess. 1:8-12)(2 Thess. 2:10-12)(Hebrews 10:26-27)(1 Peter 4:17-18)(Revelation 2:23b,26), those are headed to blaspheming the Holy Ghost, even more so in this Period of Grace, because so much has been given/is offered to man. God Bless!

I find this question interesting, the lord stated that the only thing we should boast about is the fact that we Know him. This would include theology since theology is the study of God. I think a very huge amount of our life should be spent on growing in our relationship with God, so much so that we will be able to recognize him when he comes again.

If your born again and regenerated by His Spirit - you have everything you need to be saved -- the walk is more difficult if your unlearned and you may be led around by false teachers and led into sin but not judged because your uneducated.

Those that MISuse Jesus are held accountable
Titus 1:6 claim to know God ..actions deny Him
