Unless you want this world to continue to waste away and you don't want to go to heaven you better hope He comes back. Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Absolutely His second comming is necessary. We will have a new Heaven and a new earth(Rev.21), all things will be made new, we will live with Jesus for Eternity and we will be more sin...Hallelujah! Glory to God...

mima > This is the necessity for His return: To save that little remnant of Jews, who have no strength or weapons but prayer as their only hope of salvation from the MAN OF SIN.

Mima, Can you not answer my question?

jesus said he would, thats reason enough.

The very question "Is Christ's second coming necessary" is itself an unnecessary and meaningless question.

Christ said He's returning. That should suffice us.

Pt.2 The return is His Day. "A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness. A day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of waste and destruction. Seek the LORD all the meek of the earth, seek righteousness, seek meekness: It may be that you shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger. For the great day of His wrath is come, who shall be able to stand." He is coming to destroy the wicked, raise His children and establish His reign on earth.

He is returning to execute His wrath. "When they-the arrogant wicked and deceived-shall say, peace and safety, then shall sudden destruction come upon them and they shall not escape. It shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth that are upon the earth. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in prison, and after many days they shall be judged." Cont. Pt2

Mima, People like you believe that Jesus is God and He's "omnipresent" or everywhere right now, in your home in your church, car etc... how do you correlate this with His "return" if He never left???
---1st_cliff on 8/25/07

You better know it is necessary. In the first place He said that He would come back just like He went up. God cannot lie. He's coming back to raise the dead. To render Judgment and complete His redemptive work. Guess who Jesus is going to judge. Why-- all of His enemies. The whole earth too. He will reward and claim His own people. He is coming in all His glory and will judge Satan, his hoards. Do you really want to read about it? >>>[2Thess. 1:6-10, 2:8, 2 Peter 3:10-12, Rev. 19:20, 20-3]. Have fun.++

I'm sure that if the bible tells us something will happen then it will happen and that it will be necessary for it to happen for God's will to be done.
