Much of this stuff is Mystery Babylon religion. Jewish mysticism has the same roots and behavior. Many of these movements come from the same spirit if you watch their behavior and fruit. Many carefully camoflauged and well designed tentacles to draw and grasp their prey, but one source. Pray for those involved to be set free and stay free. The mystery of iniquity is when people have become so decieved, they find it a mystery to know the truth....

" J Smith comes along and writes a new theology"

-History 101. Modern fundamentalism, the 'new theology' is only a 100 years old, its 'new theology' commenced in Azuza CA and Topeka KS in 1901.

Multafarious 'theologies have come and gone over the past 200 years, thats the spirit of apostacy. . What are the fruits of it, ignorance and bigotry in the laity, demogoguery in the clergy. By their fruits you shall know them.

"that's the spirit of anti-christ working in the world"

What has the Church produced?

Geveloped, maintained several colleges.

Developed a love of education in the laity.

Developed a respect for freedom of religion.

Developed a love for God that does not include a bitoted HATE for ALL those who disagree.

Andrea, its about people living in glass houses, throwing stones.
---MikeM on 12/28/07

so your arguing with me about your opinion or mine???
Jesus said it would happen - God didn't stop it,He is not interested in your sacrifices. Jesus was our sacrifice, He asks for the sacrifice of praise not your works.
Your works are filthy rags thrown at the perfect cross of Christ. Repent and allow Him to work in you.
The work of His followers is to believe.
2000 yrs later J Smith comes along and writes a new theology - that's the spirit of anti-christ working in the world.

Andrea: one major problem with your statement is that you assume that God had the temple destroyed. Though this could be a possibility, it is far more likely that he allowed it to happen. He allowed some of his prophets and apostles to be killed, his Son to be crucified and for people to divorces. The fact that it happens doesn't mean that God wills it. The fact is that Christ talked and treated the temple like it was God's sacred place and should be kept so.

Lisa - they killed him bc he was shooting at them, he was on trial for destroying a printing press that was going to expose his adulterous affair with his adopted daughter.

He shot two people.
---Andrea on 12/20/07

Chris if God was interested in the temples of man He wouldn't have had the last ones destroyed.

Christians are the temple of the Holy Spirit. There are no more sacrifices for sin, Jesus was the final sacrifice. When we accept His gift of salvation its His work that cleanses us from all unrighteousness

by grace are ye saved and not of yourselves so that no man should boast
---Andrea on 12/20/07

Temples were important to God. The Tabernacle of Moses was a portable temple. Solomon's temple was used and rebuilt and declared to be God's House by Christ himself during his ministry. He used violence to cleanse it (twice?), which seems especially extreme for the usually meek and charitable Jesus. The inner areas of the biblical temple were restricted to certain people and these people wore special clothing. If Christ during his ministry cleansed the temple, where are Christian temples today?

I went through the sacred rituals in the Salt Lake Temple. Years later, when I was helping my husband study to become a 32nd degree Mason, I realized that the Masonic and Mormon rituals are almost identical. Perhaps that's why they killed him.
---Lisa on 12/7/07

Yes I am a former mormon. I onyl attended there for 6 months, so I never made it to the temple I only heard disscussions, & if they are temple clothing underneath I refer them to longjohns because that's what I relate to.,but I am no longer a member I had them remove me from their list, they sent a verification letter & all.

LDS temple play -
Peter--"He did that to deceive you. A wicked generation seeketh after a sign. We do not satisfy people's idle curiosity. Do you know who that man is?"
Preacher--"Why, certainly! He's a great gentleman and is at the head of
all the religious denominations of the day."

Peter--"I can fully believe that. Why, that's Lucifer!
"Preacher--"What! the Devil?"

If christians are of Satan. What does that make mormons?
---Andrea on 9/1/07

I found some really good teaching on youtube ... its so popular even mainstream churches are using it - and some schools.

But if your afraid of someone might open your eyes - I'd stay away.
I even went to the anti-my -own denomination - who cares - I want to see what the enemy brings Mormons are such cowards!
---Andrea on 9/1/07

Tammy...The reason LDS do not use that version is because they do not own the copyright. The RLDS (now Community of Christ) owns it. You might want to check out some of those other restoration groups. You might find that the presidency of the church was handed down long before Joseph Smith died and not to Brigham Young. Either way, it is all false doctrine.

1) Say the leader is the "Elijah," "Apostle," "God's Messenger," "That Prophet," etc.

2) Preach that God's Kingdom or a New World is coming soon

3) Tell their members that they are the special "elect"

4) Proclaim that their "church" is the only one that has the "truth
---Andrea on 8/29/07
---Andrea on 8/31/07

5) Use much fear, guilt, threats and phobia indoctrination to keep the members obeying and to keep them from leaving

6) Have "black and white" thinking and see situations as all good or all bad, a "blessing" or a "curse"

7) Believe that they are being "persecuted" if someone criticizes their group

8)Often states that "the end is near" (i. e. the Tribulation) with a focus on end time prophecies

Finally something I can agree with Susie about (the Youtube video). I do disagree about the Temple ordinances - I'll have to do some research but it seems I've read that the First Christians (prior to the Nicean council) did indeed perform Temple ordinances.

The Joseph Smith Translation has restored some of the plain and precious things that have been lost from the Bible (1 Ne. 13). Although it is not the official Bible of the Church, this translation does offer many interesting insights and is very valuable in understanding the Bible. It is also a witness for the divine calling and ministry of the Prophet Joseph Smith
---Tammy on 8/31/07

It appears that only verses that needed clarification were translated....that's my opinion and not an official statement. I don't comment on things I'm not certain.

Lori - what is the truth of Jesus Christ of which you speak?
---Andrea on 8/31/07

I watched the video and having been to the temple many times myself, 90 percent of what the clown said happens there was pure garbage and made up lies to deceive many. its nice to know people are still gullible and believe everything satan gives them to lead them in ignorance. I see no one read the dead sea temple scroll written two thousand years ago, long before the church was restored to the earth. what should I expect. everyone has the bible and can't even believe or obey it either.

Youtube is just another way for people to get their kicks. It is nothing more than a sensationalistic nonsensical website directed at people who have nothing better to do all day. Get a life!!!!!
---Susie on 8/31/07

this is where many don't have a clue what they are talking about. In the Jewish religion, the only person allowed into the Holy of Holies was the keeper of the arc or chief priest. no one else was allowed to see it or worship in the chamber. if you entered, you were put to death instantly. people should actually study instead of yapping about things they have no clue about. the priests only knew the ceremonys carried out in the jewish temples, not the people. the people weren't even allowed to enter.
---lori on 8/31/07

I didn't watch the video to laugh or mock but to learn something. I am not suggesting that anyone else watch it. I hope that most here have a mind of their own and will choose what they should do and watch without influence from others.
---RitaH on 8/31/07

The early Christian church had no "secret" ceremonies. They did not have a temple where things were done in secret. They did not wear special undergarments to protect them. They had the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives as do we today. Any secret ceremonies are not from God.

Before leaving Mormonism, I made sure I studied as the Bible instructs us to do. I found that Joseph Smith also translated a new Bible called the "Inspired Version" which LDS don't use. Why is that?
---Susie on 8/31/07

24 July, 1853 - Brigham Young preaches, "The Father came down in his bodily tabernacle and begot Jesus."

br> 10 July 1901 - Apostle Anthon H. Lund reports to apostles that during six-month period, 58 percent of LDS marriages in rural ward were "forced."

9 Aug 1991 - Salt Lake Tribune article, "Of LDS Women, 58% Admit Premarital Sex."
---Andrea on 8/30/07

Andrea - I thought you had said you were raised LDS. How did you not know about Temple Garments? I was an active member for four years and I knew about them! What I don't know but hope to know one day is the SACRED Temple endowments. I will not watch the video because I doubt it's legitimate and I consider that part of our faith VERY SACRED.
---Tammy on 8/30/07

RitaH - I cannot comment on the video because I won't be watching. I can say that after reading the twisted lies and half truths told about the LDS doctrine, I have no doubt that the video is not authentic. The Temple ceremony is secret because it is considered sacred. The Early Christians practiced such ceremonies - prior to the Nicean Council who then dictated what "Christianity" was about.

RitaH - the reason that people pretend to be ex-Mormons is because they think their message will be more powerful that way. It's truly unfortunate that these people can't have an honest debate and depend on what they read on anti-Mormon websites.
---Tammy on 8/30/07

Andrea: this should cause your soul to tremble as a word of warning. If you willingly cause one soul to be deceived and reject truths of Jesus Christ, that person's sins for the rest of eternity are then on your head. You cannot undo harm you do by spreading lies to others through your own arrogance, pride and love of satan. you believe everything you see on the internet so the video of demons possessing the men starting the pentacostle church means everyone belonging now follows satan and not God.
---Lori on 8/30/07

I just read a blog from exmormons and they were teasing each other about the ,garmies' they wear the garmies(underwear) under the bra (unless nursing) if you don't God might kill you- no kidding - it is the weirdest thing and they said LDS hates to be laughed at bc they know they are really god's chosen.
they callthe garmies sacred not secret

---these people had a hard time learning God wouldn't smite them for not wearing the undies that God's wife designed --I'm sorry I COULD NOT MAKE THIS UP
---Andrea on 8/30/07

Andrea, I have just watched the video you referred to. I had no idea that they believed all that stuff. Very enlightening. Thank you for pointing it out. I'll watch some of the others also on YouTube another day.

---Gail on 8/30/07

candice...If you were indeed an ex-Mormon, you would know that the "temple garments" (not long johns as you called them) are for sealing the person for eternity. Just another false works. Jesus paid for our eternity on the cross.

The delusion that accopanies cults is real.

Pray please that their eyes be opened to the reality of Jesus as Lord and Christ.

Beside him there is no other.

LDS teaches three gods and that eventually you will be a god. poltheistic paganism and no I don't expect they like it when I say it - truth is not always easy.

go to Josephlied or mormon challenge
youtube for giggles

The blind lead the blind on many blogs. Magic underwear, give me a break. People will say anything to tear down or mock things they don't understand. Temple ceremony, read the dead sea scrolls-temple scroll written two thousand years ago, long before masons etc. the scrolls weren't found until the 1940's. the temple was built in the 1840's and what happens there has never changed. members wear garments to remember covenants they make in the temple that will take them back to the celestial kingdom.

I would work for CN, because I like the Christian blogs. But for the genuine, authentic Christians that do write sincere blogs, you do work here....for free, out of compassion for the lost.
For those who don't tell the truth about anything, we know the trouble doesn't begin and end on these blogs.
Your lives are in a whole lot of trouble when you shut down your computer at night.

Andrea, as you give false testimonies - and your life is falling apart at home - are the blogs asuaging your guilty conscience?
---Gail on 8/30/07

con't. people often get offended when they are told as hard as they try, they can only make it back to the kingdom of Jesus Christ or terrestial kingdom. to enter the celestial kingdom or reside again with our Heavenly Father, you have to live in obedience to higher laws. many here can't even live and obey simple things Jesus taught in the bible. what makes everyone think they can obey other laws God gives that you have to prove yourself worthy to receive.
---Lori on 8/30/07

While I was in the lDS I didn't know anything about 'secret underwear'. I only learned about it on youtube yesterday (i thought the undie thing was only for baptisms' you tube filmed inside the temple and interviewed LDS.

It is really funny but I respect that it is sad and provocative to Mormons but they are so insulated if they get angry enough at me maybe MAYBE they will research the information. Much of this comes from LDS sources.
personally my heart breaks for them

Andrea, you weren't a mormon, but you are many people. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put that together.
Andrea, you told us about your share of time on the couch, what did you learn about lying?

"Joseph Smith lied - decieved his family his friends and countless others.
The more I learn about LDS the more disgusting it becomes. ---Andrea"
---Gail on 8/30/07

All I know about mormons is what I can read on the internet. However if someone contributes here with information I don't think that it is our place to call that person a liar. If someone is pretending to be something that they are not (and why would someone pretend to be a former mormon) it is between that person and God. None of us know each other personally so we should be careful in what we say about each other.
---RitaH on 8/30/07

Andrea-the truth is a dangerous thing. Yes the Mormons wear secret magic underwear and yes their roots are in witchcraft and masonry. But these truths will be unsettling for many people even some Mormons. Please be careful about telling the truth. Some people believe the lies they have been taught.
---Mima on 8/29/07

Everytime one of these Mormon questions are asked on this site, it opens the door for the Mormons to try to teach their false doctrine. I have not seen anything on youtube, but I know about temple ordinances and the temple garments. All are false and made up by man. The entire religion is based on lies.

I'm a former mormon & they donot have a secret handshake nor secret underwear, lol. the sisters & brothers laugh at this in church when brought up, what they do have is like long john underware, the reason I donot know, but it is white , which means purity ,worn under the garment for the baptisim, understand that reason. Even though I am no longer mormon, please if you're going to bring something up against them make it something original & scriptual.
---candice on 8/29/07

gail I think your really a repentent mormon.

Did you go see the secret masonic rituals? Evil stuff it was secret for 150 + years.

and the magic mormon underwear is sooooo funny.
But the Mormon scholars were very sad - their disappointment is palpable - the deceit and fraud is very personal - I understand.

you on the other hand I'm not so sure about.
---Andrea on 8/29/07

Andrea, I do not think that you were ever a mormon. This is part of your agenda to prove to yourself that you can understand what a mormon is, even if it's only on the blogs. An authentic ex-mormon doesn't need to go to youtube.
