Willing To Go To Jail

Do you believe that there is coming a time in the very near future that Pastors and christians will be put in jail for preaching the Gospel of Christ?

Moderator - It's already been happening non-stop for 2,000 years. Just depends where you live.

It saddens the Person of the Holy Spirit>>>When true Believers are not willing to go to jail for Him.

the time is very near.
If you display a cross...try it and see what happens!
I did last Christmas 2006. Some of my neighbors were "offended"...can you believe it??
The cross was marked at the top with "INRI"..then on top cross bar read "Merry"..the vertical part read "Christmas"
I am finding people despise Jesus and all symbols reflecting Him!
I refused to remove it, because it was on my property! I can't wait to put up my cross this Christmas!

The moderator is correct with ref to other countries expecially. Sadly,I do not forsee that most pastors will go to jail or suffer death in the future in this country but true christians probably will.

The world could change so rapidly - a few well placed nuclear weapons and most of America might be facing mecca five times a day this time next year.

I don't sit around and worry about it but I have in my self readied myself to die.

In the meantime I have much joy in the Lord and I plan on bringing as many into the kingdom with me as I can.
I want lots of lousy sinners - repenting and saying "OH God I can't believe you forgave me"
love it love it love it

*Robin "The time is coming when those who refuse to worship the "beast" will not be able to buy or sell and will be killed"
Revelation 13:15-17
"...that the image of the beast should... cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all... to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

If you claim to be a true Christian and if you are not being persecuted ask yourself, "how come"? Because if you truly belong to Christ and if you are truly serving Him, you will stir the devil up and you will be persecuted. Worry if the devil is not bothering you, because if he isn't bothering you, you are not bothering him. Besides, Satan hates strong witnesses and whom he knows will do damage to his dark, evil, kingdom.

In this nation, it is already starting to take place. But it is not too late to stop the madness. We still need not to condone this wickedness in America. We need to speak out on the injustice that is being done to God's people here at home and around the world. We are imprisoned simply because we have escaped hell, we love Jesus Christ, and we obey God. These persecutors with power in their hands are going to receive the worse punishment.

Jack - I stand corrected

The issue is worship. Do we worship the Creator or the beast. Whose authority do we submit ourselves to? God and His Word or man and his traditions?

What do you think happened in the Soviet Union in the past and in Muslim countries today?

**Every time I hear people talk about how hard it is to be a christian in this country. I say please God persecute us.**

God doesn't persecute people, Andrea.

And I've often said here that God's spoiled brats--comfortable American dispensationalists waiting for a rapture--have no idea what persecution really is.
---Jack on 9/13/07

What I meant was the was preaching the Gospel of Christ in America. I know that in a lot of other countries that christians are being jailed, being tortured and killed for their faith in Christ. And Andrea, I am very familar with voice of the martyrs, I support them as well as send out letters to persecuted believers in their prison ministry. I was mainly referring to our country, America.

yes, in fact I reciently recieved an email from a man who was beaten and imprisoned in Saudi for having home fellowships and smuggling in Bibles. He was able to escape Saudi and is a refugee in UK currently. People are persecuted everyday and we have the nerve to NOT read our Bibles.:)

The Holy Spirit is walking into barred areas, walking into their dreams, thousands are witnessing Jesus and His Love and tender mercy for them in the Islamic territory, it is just incredible the stories coming out of there. I even heard That a Mother and daughter were burried alive by this husband who did not want them any more, Jesus came....continued.

to them under the earth and gave them food and drink every day many days passed and a relative also died they dug the same location to bury the dead relative, and out came walking the wife and daughter.

Go to VOM - voice of the matyrs is a site that allows you to support suffering persecuted Christians today.

In Iran they will cut your tongue out.

Every time I hear people talk about how hard it is to be a christian in this country. I say please God persecute us. Where there is persecution the church is growing - God is present and there is no whitewashing the Gospel - you believe it or not bc tomorrow you may die.
---Andrea on 9/12/07

It is not fair that sometimes we as Christians must not openly talk or make known that we are Christians but it can be a more effective way to reach people as then they get to see that we walk the walk not just talk the talk.

There are cases where it has and is happening today. With some of the current laws being considered it will get even worse.

I have friends who are missionaries to the Arab world and they know plenty of people who have been jailed for their faith. They have to be very discreet about how they reach out to unbelievers when they are in the countries where Islam is the law of the land.
