Demons can't hurt you if you do not let them. As long as you're protected under Gods spiritual armour you'll be ok.You can not bind a demon in someone, that is not your place, only God can destroy a demon or a person that is wicked.

I shudder at the thought of binding a demon in someone. I do practice binding demons from my area. What is my area? Where I can see and be seen, hear and be heard.-- I'm certain that this has helped those who I witnessed to free to express themselves.

Holly, thank you, That can be read in Matthew 17:14, For some reason, God only knows, fasting no food, along with requirement of Christians, is suppose to give much power, over powers of demons, I often have encounters where I discern demons speaking out of people, because I as a child of God have power to disembody them and tell em to go to hell where they belong, much is said concerning "fasting without food" I was just wondering why, maybie it shows the desperation of the cry of our souls.

Bind: The authority of declaration with many variables.
People do bind themselves to their own choices by affirmation or by protest and other. Chose wisely. Think!
Easy targets wanted for self-applied binding programs or we do it all for you. Take a pick, your choice.

loosening:-freedom. Therefore chose life.
All the stricthness and pressure is a constipation. Let go, and let God. We are free.
Jhn 8:36
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

1) Whisper...God was showing me something about this recently while I was at a church service and they were using this passage of scripture for the sermon. First of all the word "fasting" is not in the original text. I have numerous translations of the bible and many say (in the footnotes) that it was not in the original transcripts. So..if you leave that out, it would say it comes out by "prayer".
---Holly4jc on 10/1/07

2) Secondly...didn't Jesus say that His followers would not "fast" as long as the bridegroom is with them? So...why would He admonish them that they had not done what it takes for the demons to come out...aka...prayer and fasting? They would not have been fasting yet...Jesus was still with them. This confirms that the word "fasting" was not in the original text. Hope that helps. :-)

One thing, I am always wondering about is, when the disciples came to Jesus and said we tried to cast the demon out but nothing happened. Then Jesus said this kind cometh not out except by PRAYER and FASTING but why should fasting have anything to do with deliverance???

One thing worth noting. If you tear down spiritual walls it exposes everything that was hiding behind that wall. So just bc things look worse for awhile - it maybe that the real work is just beginning.

Our strength to fight in spiritual realms is not our strength - its how much we trust and know Him.

HE is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and we are in His army.....

Donna I have no desire to respond to s. axe any more, selah. However, Yes I practice this because my eyes are open spiritually to discern evil in my path, usually, by the hoardes, like more than the sands of the oceans. Are you opening up a can of worms, It is more like pulling a mountain apart and exposing the Leviathon of seven heads, scorpions, croccodiles, many serpants, but no not only worms, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE, And yes they can and do kill, but either way I just end up in Heaven.

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

I always remind the devil that I have overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and I do, in prayer, apply it to myself, my belongings, my health, my kids, etc. It is very effective....the devil hates the blood because it is by the blood that SATAN was defeated. He would like you to forget about the blood, because he hates to be reminded of his defeat.
---Holly4jc on 9/30/07

They were told to kill a lamb and apply its blood to the doorposts.

First of all, in the New Testament, Jesus is the lamb. He has been slain. In fact there are warnings against crucifying him again and again.

Second of all, nowhere in the new testament does anyone APPLY the blood of Jesus, but they always speak in the NAME of Jesus.

If you are going to mess with demons, be sure you are right with God and filled with the Holy Spirit. A demon cannot get inside of you if you are filled with the Holy Spirit and it must come under the authority of Jesus name.
---splaa6685 on 9/29/07

S. Axe, do you recall that God told the Israelites that if they did not want their first born to die, then apply the blood of a lamb on their door post, and He would pass over their house and the first born will live? Same difference in my view.

1) Thank you Sue!!! I'm glad to see someone who understands that God gave ALL believers the power to "bind and loose". I've had this argument so much with Catholics, they say that only Peter (therefore all the popes also) was given the authority to bind and loose. When I tell them that I use this principle with the authority that God has given us as one of our weapons of warfare and that I use it all the time and very successfully I might add, they get mad at me and say...who said YOU have...
---Holly4jc on 9/29/07

2) that authority? Only Peter was given it. Keep preaching it Sue and telling the truth of the gospel! Satan does NOT want God's people to really know the power and authority that God has given to believers to overcome him (satan) that's why he has perpetuated this lie that ONLY the pope can loose and bind. This way it leaves people helpless and ineffective. I pray that those who do not believe in loosing and binding and using the authority that Jesus has given us in HIS NAME will see the truth. Amen!

Many people have been taught many things by many people. Some are correct, and some aren't.

If somebody says "This doctrine is taught in this and this scripture" I pay attention. If somebody says "This person taught me this doctrine", I don't believe it until they can justify it.

In the New Testament, the Apostles frequently asserted authority by invoking the NAME of Jesus. I don't recall their ever asserting authority by invoking the BLOOD of Jesus.
---StrongAxe on 9/29/07

When Satan is attacking me personally or through someone. Depending on the severity of his attack, I either go to my room talk to Jesus about it, or I carry on a conversation with Jesus about it right there on the spot. Evil spirit, I either ask God not to let it get off on me or I may leave the room. The answer to your last question is, if you are not walking close to God, yes, you are opening a can up of worms to be attacked by that demon. You cannot do this without the help of God.
---catherine on 9/28/07

When we are born again believers in Christ we have the authority over demons. Jesus says 'I give you the keys to the kingdom, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" (paraphasing) However, this authority we have will not 'work' so to speak if we are not living Holy lives. We must be sanctified. I bind and loose regularly in my prayer time over my own thoughts.
You could possibly open a can of worms. Sue

I have been taught to plead the blood. Read Derek Prince books, and you can get some good tips on this.

I have no quarrel with overcoming things by the blood. However, not NO ONE INSTANCE that you quoted did anyone PLEAD the blood. The blood has ALREADY done its work. We don't need to ASK it to keep doing so.

We are told to ask GOD in Jesus's name (John 14:13, 15:7, 16:24-26, James 1:5, etc.), but never to ask the BLOOD.

"Pleading the blood" sounds like a magic formula, like magic rituals like "drawing magic circles" or "invoking the corners" etc.
---StrongAxe on 9/28/07

One problem I have seen (and this is mostly in Pentecostal circles) is that that people who have experienced real spiritual power treat it like magic - and us it as such, developing rituals and formulas for its use.

This is quite in contract with the gifts of the Spirit (or authority of Christ) in the New Testament, which seems to be different in each sitution, and have very few formulas at all (other than the invocation of authority "In the name of Jesus...")

Whisper I would like to add another passage to you list.

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God,

Strong Axe:

Revelation 12:11, And they overcame Him "the devil" by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB and by the word of their testimony.

Ephesians 1:7, In Him we have redemption through HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Romans 5:9 Justified by His BLOOD.

Colossians 1:20 PEACE through the BLOOD.

1 Peter 1:19, Redeemed by THE BLOOD.

Revelation 5:10, You have redeemed us to God by your BLOOD.

Can you show any scriptural precedents for the practice of "pleading the blood" on someone?
---StrongAxe on 9/25/07

Yes, Donna...I would say, absolutely, do only what the Holy Spirit has you do. Whatever He has you do will work.

In Acts 19:13-17, we see how ones tried to use Jesus' name to order an evil spirit out of a man, and the MAN attacked them, "and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." But they were not submitting to the Holy Spirit.

"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

I bind and loose stuff all the time-it's called spiritual warfare. Are you telling me that if your family was being harassed by Satan you wouldn't bind that sucker right up, whatever the spirit was?
I would! Most recently I bound a disobedient spirit who was manifesting in my job and released the fruit of the spirit over that person's life. I haven't had any problems since then. It works if you have faith.

Most absolutely. According to Matthew 18:18, You need to bind and loose, but that is only after you plead the blood of Jesus on all Christians in the room and children should not be present, but you must first plead the blood of Christ on them, because they can enter into whoever is there especialy a non christian in the room, bind them in chains, then ask God to send them into Hades. And they can turn and attack you and choke you to death, or they go into animals present.

lorra, can you please give scripture reference to support your belief on this statement: If you are not a lawfully ordained Bishop, you do not have this authority and should not practice it.
---Donna on 9/24/07

John, I totally agree with all that you said. I have a very close friend who has a major spirit of pride. She always wants to bind demons, and talks about them every day. She asked me to come against demons in her son-in-law because she thinks they are attacking her. I refused because I had no leading of the Holy Spirit to agree with her in prayer for coming against these demons. Was I wrong?

This is in accordance to Matt.16:19 and Matt.18:18. This is a kingdom principle that is a tool for us to use against the spiritual forces of evil. God honours what we do down here. There is no indication that binding a demon means that we are open to it's attacks but there is one instance in Acts 19 where some unbelievers used Jesus' name to cast out demons and the demons attacked them. To my knowledge,I have never been, nor have I seen a Christian being attacked by demons after binding them.
---john on 9/24/07

Binding and loosing is a Rabbinical term and refers to religious lawmaking. If something is bound, then all followers are bound to it and must follow the requirement. If it loosed, then followers are released from following it. Only those assigned with this authority have it. It was given by Jesus to Matthew and the Apostles and their successors who are ordained by the laying on of hands. If you are not a lawfully ordained Bishop, you do not have this authority and should not practice it.
