Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
I hear that the ratio of Jewish believers is 1 in 6. So maybe that's a good gestimate.
But there is no way for us to judge we can only pray and do like Abraham.
Please Lord if there is 50 - 40 - 10 save the whole city.
of course we know what happened to them

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I'm a "whosoever". Like the song says, "When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there."

Duane, the Bible says only a few will make it to heaven.

For many are called, but few are chosen.
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few,

Most all will be saved. How?...A redeemer was sent, He took sin away.

Catherine if this response "those scriptures are not talking about saved souls those scriptures are talking about angels" was meant for me then I believe that you are wrong. In Revelation the 144,000 refers to 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel - not angels. If it was meant for someone else please forgive me for butting in!!

It depends on how well we do God's will down here in the footsteps of the Disciples / Saints. I hope for all.

Re 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands,
great multitude = big number
Mt 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Many = most people
called = effectually called by the grace of God.
me saved = only by the grace of God.

All I can go on is what the scriptures tells us. That only a few will be saved. Because the heart of man is desparately wicked.

The first scripture that the Holy Spirit brought to my mind was Genesis 22:17-18. God told Abraham that He would multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and the sand which is upon the seashore. All the nations of the earth be blessed. Yes I am also a born again child of God. As Mima said a PERSONAL relationship based on what Christ did for all who call upon, trust, believe, and recieve Him by Faith. Amen!

We read that there are to be 144,000 plus multitudes that no man can number. That means we can't possibly know. However, just because that sounds a large figure it doesn't mean that an even larger figure won't be in hell.

I don't know about the percentage, but I do know it won't be very many. Many are called but a FEW CHOSEN. I am called and I am one of the chosen. I would say that more people are on their way to hell than heaven. Sad to say, but it is true. If people are really and truely saved as they claim to be, there wouldn't be so many different religions and people would act, walk, talk, like they are Christians instead to many are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Dan7:10 and Rev5:11 say Ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands. Maybe this is not literal but means uncountable, incredible numbers. I include myself because Jesus said "whosoever believes on me will have everlasting life."
On the otherhand,Matt7:14 says "few there be that find the road to life and many there be that find destruction" I suggest that this is referring to the bountiful life now that few are currently walking in.

Now how could any of us possibly know that? I will say that I believe we will be shocked to find some let in, and others kept out, that we had assumed our own judgement upon, and were wrong. I think all mankind will be blown away when we find out what is real truth as opposed to what beliefs we cling to on Earth.

Only God really knows (Matt. 13:24-30). When you're truly saved, God let's you know (Heb. 12:5-7, Rev. 3:19-22).

Have been in at least two major discussions concerning this question. And the answer is a small minority perhaps 15 to 20% of the worlds population. All Moslems are headed to hell, all Buddhist, all Hindus and a multitude of others which includes all who fail to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Praise the Lord I include myself. Based on what the Bible says I am saved. Not a feeling, not church attendance but based on the actual inspired words of Almighty God!!

Jesus said that narrow is the gate and few will find it.
He also said that not everyone who calls Him Lord will enter the kingdom (but only those who do the will of the Father).
Yes, I include myself. Those who are married usually know they are married. Likewise, those who have a saving relationship with Christ know it.
