1st,we need to understand that our prayers are sometimes answered without our awareness of the answer. His answer is different than what we expect. But sometimes God does not hear our prayer due to repititious unconfessed sin in our lives. He cannot look upon sin so that He cannot look upon us until we confess and repent. Therefore we are actually praying to the wind. With a pure heart, God hears all prayer and answers them if prayed without doubt.

God hears our prayers but for Him to answer you must pray according to His word, which is His will [isa65:24] then we must stand in faith [agreement]with God.1John5:14-15 and keep on thanking Him phil4:6-7

Sometimes God answers the cry of the heart rather than our pitiful words. For instance, praying for the restoration of a love relationship. We are really asking for love and even though He may not restore THAT relationship, He will answer the heart cry for love.

" God will act only when a request is consistent with his agenda..."?
Moses and many others changed God's agenda by prayer, some by fasting, and some by repentance. We read several times that a person's actions changed God's mind and he did not perform that which he intended to do.

God hears all prayer, but will act only when a request is consistent with his agenda for what should happen and when it should happen.

God's ways are not our ways and God's thoughts are not our thoughts. Sometimes we pray for things that the Lord knows are not good for us. I truly believe that when we pray and ask God you will exerience three possible answers from God. Yes, No or wait for the timing may be wrong. God knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what we need, and what we do not need. Psalms 139 was a real eyeopener for me. I would suggest for any christian to meditate on this Psalm.

God hears the prayers of the Righteous. I do not believe He answers all prayers. He answers the ones He wants to and will not answer, if He chooses not to. Sometimes your faith is stretched in not knowing or understanding.>>>I read the verses and I will stick to my answer. Thank you.

We need to come to God in faith believing and KNOW that He cares for us. We may not like His answer but I believe He answers.
I think a big problem is that a lot of Christians are praying at God and too God that is way way up there and not to Him that is dwelling in us. We don't go visit with God we have Him and that is a difficult concept for many. "Greater is He that is in me then he that is in the world."

He Is Attentive to Your Prayers For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), and His ears are attentive to their prayer (I Peter 3:12 AMP). There is Good News He is attentive to the prayers of the righteous! If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and have asked Him to cleanse you of your past sins, then you are righteous by the blood of Jesus.

God hears and answers all prayers. Sometimes folks have trouble accepting the answers. God is Our Father, the ulimate of all fathers, and He does what IS best for us, not what we think is best for us. His goal is for us to join Him in Heaven, not entertain us or ensure our personal comfort while on earth.

I have been amazed at how often God answers my petitions, and right He often turns out to be when I felt His answer was different from what I thought I was looking for.

It says we have the "petitions" which we ask of Him. Hmmm, NOT the REpetitions, not the vain repetitions...and You hear what WE ask of You..."whatever we ask" we ourselves can ask You. So, we don't need to ask Mary, since we can ask You??? But it says "we" > I can see "we" get what is according to **Your*** will by praying with one another.

If a person is abiding in God and he in them, God hears every prayer that we say. He may not answer right then or he might. Our time is not God's time. The reason why we feel our prayers are bouncing off of the walls is because Satan is hovering around trying to stop our prayers from going to God, he can't stop the prayers from being heard. But he can stop the prayers from being answered.

I don't think any of our prayers are unanswered. God may say no, not right now, or yes. I believe he hears them all but there may be reasons such as 1Pet3:7, James1:7, Prov 28:13, and 2rov 22:16 that hinder prayers. The main thing is that we pray in faith, believing, and leave the rest up to God.

Here is 1st.John 5:14-15, that Mima asks us to consider > "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." (1 John 5:14-15)
