Prevent Bible Prophecy

Can a person prevent or subvert the prophecies of Almighty God.--- As the nation deteriorates into chaos why all the clamor among the self righteous? I believe the downfall of America and all the world is prophesied in the Bible in the following question. Luke 18:8(no room for Scripture)

Anything and everything can be interpreted allegorically from the Bible. That does not make it God's will.

On the contrary, Man can stop prophesies from being fulfilled. Haven't you read of Jonah and Nineveh? Like all prophesies, people are warned before prophesies happen.

That is a GREAT question Mima! And the answer is...I don't really know. I didn't read the scripture you gave, but I have heard a scripture that tells us Gods plans will not be thwarted by man. So perhaps it's not so much that a man can stop a prophecy, but that he can step out of the way of his calling, and therefore God will use someone else to carry out his original plan...that's my theory. Any thoughts?

No one but God can prevent the prophecies from God to come to pass. Because if it is prophesied by a child of God and it is prophesied by God it will come to pass and there isn't anything anyone can do about that. All through the bible, it has prophecies after another, and so far most of them have come to pass. Even Satan himself can't stop what has been and what will be prophesied.

If God intends something to happen I believe it WILL happen. Someone didn't want Moses to live beyond babyhood but he did. Someone didn't want Jesus to live beyond babyhood but He did. God prepares well ahead of time and He knows who will try to thwart His plans. They will NEVER succeed. However the outcome of the prophecies which have not yet come to pass will not necessarily be in the way that we expect. They will happen in His way and at His timing and no-one will stop them.

The book of Judges shows us that man is incapable of ruling himself. The further our nation moves away from the foundations of our founding fathers, the closer we are to the disasterous results shown in Judges. Will there be any of faith when He returns? In the days of Noah, he found 8.

God knows the hearts of people. He knew the hearts right up to the flood and he knows the hearts up to the second coming of Jesus. God knows, over time, what will happen to the hearts of men. Near the end their hearts grow cold and man lose his self control. Look around you today and what do you see? Parents cooking their babies in microwaves or drowning them in bathtubs, aborting babies for selfish reasons, lawlessness, lover's of self, etc.

Why Judgment upon the nations?

Judgment is sure. Judgment is coming at the midnight hour. Jesus said that in the day of His return and at the time of final judgment, it will be as in the "days of Sodom".

Who will be safe?
Those who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, peoples who love the Lord and His Word.
God has been long-suffering with man. Our hearts will cry, "Come, Lord Jesus, Come."

I believe this to be a prophetic word, history does repeat itself.

I have no idea what you mean by these words, Mima. Do you?

Common sense should tell even you that God's purposes and plans (as seen in prophecies) will be fulfilled--though not always as we expect.

BTW--God doesn't prophesy. People do--either inspired by the Holy Spirit, or of themselves, which words would be empty.
