God's will because He chose.
He will give you your own free will to do what - ever & you maybe be lost because of it. He will give you a space & time to repent, if Not, you'l be lost.

To Whosoever has an ear to hear?

The Will God doesn't limit, the quote unquote, freedom of man to choose. On the contray, His Will liberates our true spirit in which we were created in and blessed with to bring forth the fruits of the Spirit as the children of God.

Man could never choose the the salvation of the Lord without the grace of God's Will.

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain.

All things are possible with God because of His Will. When we're with the Lord, we move well beyond any limitations!!!
---Shawn_M.T. on 12/5/08

Of course our 'freedom' is limited. Every decision we make has a cause, and all causes have previous causes. The causal chain goes back to our births, and ultimately back to the beginning of creation.
---johannes on 11/7/08

It seems that at one point he does limit man's ability to choose and it is after man has committed the unpardonable sin. That is, man has chosen to reject God and WITHIN that decision God may seem to harden this individual's heart or to have him believe a lie. P.

Still thinking about this blog this morning. I wanted to add:

Gen 20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart, for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

We should never underestimate the providential hand of God at work in our lives.

Alan of UK,

Hey dear brother, I'm not sure your doctrinal beliefs, but I will try to expound.

Free will: Adam had free will and chose to sin (1 Tim 2:14 / Rom 5:19). You and I both have free will to sin or serve God.

The children of Israel offered their children to Molech - Jer. 32:35. This was obviously against God's will. God hates sin, but allows it.

Having said this, when we sin, we also pay the consequences - Heb. 12:3-15.

Alan of UK, (part 2)

Concerning Predestination:

It is scriptural: Rom 8:29, 30, Eph. 1:5, & 11. To deny predestination is to deny the word of God.

Bluntly stated, Predestination means that God loved (foreknew) and chose (elected) a people before the foundation of the world, and that he fore-ordained them to be conformed to the image of Christ and live with him in Glory.
---trey on 11/6/07

Alan of UK, (part 3)

Concerning Predestination:

Most people have a problem with this doctrine because they say it is unjust. Is God unjust? He stated that he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy and will have compassion upon whom he will have compassion. Predestination is simply a show of mercy upon the majority of God's creation. Is God not the potter and we the clay?

Alan, I hope this clarifies where I stand on this issue.

Lord bless you,

Concerning this blog, the real discussion should be "Is God's grace irresistable?"

Joh 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Jer 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn(seized) thee.

Lord bless each of you,

Well it appears that according to some what is needed here is a Minister of Truth to keep out those who do not know the truth. I wonder what the questions on the test for that job position would be.
---matthew on 11/6/07

Questions are fine and I encourage helping those who are deceived who want the truth. Those who don't want the truth are a different story and the Word does not say to try to bring them to the faith. It says to avoid them. Thats hard to do on Christianet since they are everywhere. The lost also needs to be thought of. When they come here what do they see? I mean everyone ask you heart what do they see? Disorder, confusion and hypocrisy and tons of different doctrines.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/6/07

2)A lost person cannot discern truth. They are gonna have to take a guess, but if only the truth was allowed to be shown and false preachers were silenced they would see order, truth and clarity. They wouldn't have to guess. Jesus gave one version of the truth and if a false teacher dared tried to tarry along and preach lies alongside Him Jesus would of done something to stop it. God is a God of order and clarity, no? If this site belongs to Him then why is Satan allowed to preach here?
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/6/07

LA Matt, I am in agreement with the quizes and articles on CN, as you. It's not for any boy scout points. It's because the Holy Spirit in Truth and Power, reveals God's Truth through His Word. I'm not competing for votes, but LA Matt, we're not home, yet.

Oneness, OSAS - You Can't Lose,... I can't stand you, but I love myself so much that I take myself to the picture show, set myself in the very front row...I want a unified church but as your prophetess I am here to call you a pharisee and tell you that I can't stand you or anyone else.... but give me unity, give me peace, I'm green with envy and following the green path. I like Casper the friendly ghost, but I'm scared to death of the Holy Ghost.

Brief synopsis.
---Bob on 11/5/07

LA Matt, tiptoeing through the TULIPS is no longer an option. We overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our Testimony. Through the Word of God, we testify what the Blood of Jesus Christ has done for us. It has set us free. But with freedom comes responsibility. We still need to repent for our sins as the Holy Spirit convicts us of them. Our hands are clean once again, though our sins be red as scarlet, we are made white as snow.
---Bob on 11/5/07

LA Matt, do you think that your name was the only one used and messed with?
I've watched others compliment their own answers, oopsies, lol, ummmmm, hmmmmm. I've read garbled words, without punctuation, reveal themselves, over and over. It is deceitful and they do tell whoppers, fabrications and lies.

matthew from la,

The topic of this blog is, "Does God's will limits Man's freedom to choose?"

I find it ironic that you are upset regarding the content of these blogs. If God is omniscient and pre-destination is a key operating force in our lives, then God knew the words that would be written here before YOU read them. If we can wholly live our lives in free will, then certainly God will provide us salvation or Hell as he deems fit based on how we live our lives.
---matthew on 11/5/07

I have never found much choice in serving God. You do you get to live you don't you get to die, and in more than physical death to. So you tell me what choice? I do not find much.
---catherine on 11/5/07

Trev ... I don't feel you have resolved the conflict between free will and predestination (at least with what some claim this is)
Can you extend your comment?
---alan_of_UK on 11/5/07

Is God in control here? Unfortunately, no he is not, but he wants to be in control. Obey the Word and he will be in control. If the lost came here and saw only truth this site would no longer be a hinderance to those who want to learn. Those who don't want to learn are allowed to speak daily, and it must stop or this site will crumble and remain a hinderance.

Recently on my web site someone tried to post some info about a OSAS preacher. I couldn't allow it to be posted so I rejected it. Why did I do that? BEcause a place of truth must not allow falsehoods to be advertised, but that is exactly what this site is guilty of. Again there is a difference between someone who is deceived and wants to learn and one who is deceived and wants only to spread falsehoods. The latter must be silenced and removed, because they are false teachers.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/5/07

I say to those who run CN, obey the Word and God will bless this site and these blogs and the lies will stop coming because Satan will be frustrated that he is silenced.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/5/07

Why are heresies allowed to be spoken on these blogs? Why are there more heresies then truth on these blogs? If Paul was in control of these blogs, would he allow false teachers to speak? When someone rejects the truth daily and continually and preaches lies why are they allowed to speak? If Paul saw someone walk into His home doing that would he kick them out? If he saw someone walking into His church doing that would he kick them out?
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/5/07

Then why isn't the same done here? If the Devil is allowed to speak then he will do it and he will do it more and more and more and more to the point where the Devil has more control than God. If the Devil is not silenced he will preach His doctrines and happily. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers form the dark world. People are lead by either Satan or God.

If it is clear a person does not want to be saved from deception of the Devil and preach the Devil's lies it makes that person a false preacher and they must be removed and not allowed to speak, but they are allowed to speak. We need to reach out to the lost and not the Christian church. When the lost come here, I tell you the truth, they are confused and can't tell the truth from the lies because their is more lies than truth.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/5/07

That has been debated by scholars for centuries. Only God can answer this question with authority.

False Teacher Quiz

10. Scripture warns to stay away from false teachers.

The correct answer is True.

Romans 16:17 - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them.

I want to stay away from them so as I result I have to stay away from CN. The HS is grieved because they are not silenced.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/5/07

You can't help those who don't want to be helped and when a person has been here for months rejecting the truth daily and adamantly stading for and preaching lies it's a clear sign they don't want the truth and are a false teacher. Would Paul allow these people to speak all they want if Paul was in control of these blogs? Of course not.

The first 5 times Pharaoh refused Moses it was because his heart was hard the last 5 times it was because God hardened his heart.
---Marty on 11/4/07

#1. Matthew, if God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent then does it know it follow that God has pre-destined things as they are. But this is mutually exclusive to freewill which the bible also says we have. Thus the dichotomy between freewill and predestination.

However if you accept that the trinity and accept that Jesus was fully God yet fully man then it is clear that God limited himself in this capacity.
---Marty on 11/4/07

For Jesus said that there are things that only the father knows. Thus God can limit himself. Also God's ways are above our understanding. Thus is it not plausible that at creation God did limited himself allowing us freewill and creation is the experience of living that out whether our destination be heaven or hell. Thus resolving the dichotomy of freewill and predestination?
---Marty on 11/4/07

Matthew I do not know if this is what God did or not. But I have faith in the God and the bible as his word. And I believe that God's tells us he is both omniscient and omnipresent (thus predestination) and that we have freewill. I don't fully understand how this works but I have faith that God's ways are higher than ours.

We do what our nature dictates...don't we? So, we are not free, really. Now, why would one evil-natured human choose Jesus, all of a sudden, while another (likewise deeply evil-natured) would choose not to follow Jesus?
I mean...really...if we are created equal, then we all have the same basic nature for us to make the same choice about Jesus, I'd "suppose".
But not-exactly is THIS happening. So, I'd say "somebody else" is making a few decisions in spite of us.

"God resists the proud," we have in James 4:6 and also in 1 Peter 5:5.

Our Father helps me by opposing my selfish nonsense,
then Satan's spirit moving me gives himself away
by getting upset and downcast in me,
"thisby" exposing who is behind my activities.
So, I NEED Your resistance > THANK You (((o:
---Bill_bila5659 on 11/3/07

"God resists the proud" (in James 4:6, and in 1 Peter 5:5)

Now, if your kidos do what is against orders or can be dangerous or bad for your "reputation" > are YOU saying, "Oh, you have a free will", or are you intervening and interfering?

Our Father uses resistance to take care of us His kidos so we don't go all the way in the direction Satan would take us, starting even with ANY little sin, at first. We need Your resistance...NOT free will.
---Bill_bila5659 on 11/3/07

(1) It is written that even before you where in your mothers womb you were predestined by God. Everything is predestined to be what it was Created to be. Man (an eternal soul) was created in Gods image and likeness, given dominion and commanded to be fruitful & multiply, and not to eat of the tree of knowledge. Man having free will did not abide by this and in that disobedience gave evil dominion of his eternal soul, to steal, destroy & kill it.

(2) Christ took back that dominion and gave us (our souls) a chance at eternal salvation in the way of abiding in Him. Excepting (with our free will) Christ as our Lord and savoir gives us back our eternal soul and the freedom to be all that we were predestined (created) to be.
We are all predestined for greatness but unless we use our free will to reconcile ourselves to God we will never know that greatness.

Whosover committeth sin is the servant of sin...If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:34 & 36.
---Wayne87 on 11/3/07

Please do not confuse "man's will" with predestination. Man has free will.

Example 1.
Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Joshua told the people to choose. He said he and his family had chosen to serve God!

Man's will vs. Predestination: (2)

Example 2.
Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: ...

Moses is stating serve the Lord and reap the blessings. Disobey God and reap chastisement and maybe even death.

Man has free will. David chose to sin with Bathsheba (2nd Sam 11:3).
Achan decided to take the wedge of gold and the goodly Babylonish garment (Josh 7:20).

Man's will vs. Predestination: (3)

Concerning "predestination", that's God's business. Too many people become offended when the word comes up because the believe they are their own person and can make their own decisions. They forget:
1Cor 6:19..., and ye are not your own?
1Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

God let us choose.
total free will.
We can let Him down or we can Build Him up.
He is always isn't.
---Lisa on 11/2/07

Let me be clear---I do not believe in pre-destination.

But when I read statements such as, "...your salvation status can never be changed..." and "God knows who will and who will not be saved", then how are we exercising free will if God knows what we will do before we do? And since God is our Creator are we not simply doing what he planned for us to do? And if we really have no choice but to follow the plan, where is free will?
---matthew on 11/2/07

God knows who will and who will not be saved. He wants that no one is lost! He can make people be saved without us. He does not need us for anything, however, He chooses to bless us by using us. He uses us to reach others, we are to reach as many as we can. Isn't it wonderful that the Lord our God will use us, even though He could do the job better than us. However, it is His Spirit that draws the people near. God sets it up, we just come along and help.
---Allie on 11/2/07

Predestination is false.

Have you forgotten that God gave the angels a will and emotions? Even the fallen angels were given a choice. Nothing has changed.

God doesn't limit man's freedoms in any way.
You can choose to go to hell, any day of the week that you decide that you will make your bed in hell.
---Bob on 11/2/07

Back to pre-destination again.

If God has elected who will go to Heaven and Hell, and he knows every action that every person has, is, or will make, are we not just all helpless actors playing out an eternal script written by God.

If this is so wouldn't God get bored with it all, since he already knows what's going to happen next?

Or perhaps we are all imaginary characters acting out the play in God's head?
---matthew on 11/2/07

NO Gods will doesnt limit mans freedom to choose. Its man that limits his own freedom to choose, by not abiding in the Word of God. For it is written that all things are possible with God.

Man is given his own free will. The only way Gods will happens or not is if you ask HIM for His will to be done, and this is how we are required to pray: THE LORDS PRAYER.... Thy Kingdom come, THY WILL BE DONE.....on earth as it is in Heaven.
---Whisper on 11/2/07

God does not in any way limit Mankind's ability to chose. But God does have complete for knowledge of all actions and in actions we will take as individuals. This allows God to determine the salvation reprobation of individuals prior to their birth. Repentance and works are a result of salvation not a condition for it. And your salvation status can never be changed. Prayer does not result in salvation for God has chosen his Elect already.
