Trinity Quiz

15. The Holy Spirit is God.

The correct answer is True.

Acts 5:3-4 - But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

The Holy Spirit is God

There are several essential commandents given to believers in the new testament.

Theological correctness and expertise are not included.

When Jesus separates the righteous from the wicked, it is not based on how well people know their theology, but rather, on how well they showed their love. (compare also 1 Co 13 about knowledge vs. love)

(Yes, I know we are to "study to show ourselves approved". but that is exhortation, not a "do it or be damned" requirement).

God is a spirt he robed his self in flesh and became the man Jesus he was all God and he was all flesh he died the flesh part and he said he would send back a comforter which was his Spirt and he has a plan in his word that we must follow to be saved and when we have followed that plan he will give us his spirit and him dewelling in us gives us the power to live for him because with out his power we can not please him he said if we don't have his spirit we are not his

Cindy, jesus was One w/ God which makes them ONe, which means that jesus was on the throne at the same time jesus was dying how, b/c there one. Just because we cant comprehedn something doesnt mean it cant be true. Oh yea and God is infinite not even the heavens of heavens can contain him, so hes everywhere even when Jesus was dying on the cross and the image of God is on the throne...God doesnt just dwell on his throne he cant hes too big

Blessings to you, The Bible tells us that there is only one God. The Godhead Trinity is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. My friend, it sounds like you are saying that there is three separate God's. But that is not true. We serve only ONE GOD. We will never understand this mystery of the Godhead, until we go to our permanent home Heaven to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ for Eternity. I know we do not always agree, but I still consider you my brother IN CHRIST. God Bless you friend!

Daniel saw the Father give the Son all power
and this prophecy was fulfilled.
We are commanded by God to believe on the Son not the trinity. But those who do not believe Jesus is Gods Son will be damned. The Doctrine of the Gospel,is the Son of God, He that does not preach the Father and the Son is Antichrist, because you can not have the Father without the Son or the Son without the Father.
---exzucuh on 11/13/07

The doctrines of Oneness and Trinity blinds a person and causes them to not have the ability to worship The Father as God, It eliminates him. We worship Jesus because he is Gods Son and God has commanded us and the Angels to worship him, He sits on Gods throne and Shares his Glory and we worship the Father through the Son and his blood is the
only thing that allows us to do that. The wrath of God is upon all not under the blood of his Son.
---exzucuh on 11/13/07

Believing in one God is not oneness Doctrine, but believing what the Father has commanded us to believe. And what Jesus and his Apostles taught. Oneness Doctrine teaches that Jesus Christ is the one true God and Father and the Holy Spirit. He alone is God. This eliminates the Person of the Father and his separate personality the same as the Trinity also does.
---exzucuh on 11/13/07

There is only one God the Father and Jesus is his only begotten Son who was with the Father, slain from the foundation of the world, and it pleased the Father that all things be created by the Son and for the Son to the glory of the Father. The Son came forth from the Father and returned to the Father, for no man ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven.
---exzucuh on 11/13/07

Jesus said all things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knows who the Son is, but the Father, and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
Ask Jesus who the Father is and not some mans Doctrine.
---exzucuh on 11/13/07

Daniel 7:13-14 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
---exzucuh on 11/13/07

Jesus said that God is a Spirit and those who worship HIM worship Him in Spirit. He wasn't talking about himself as being God.
---Karen on 11/13/07

I contend for the faith and I no longer waltz around the false doctrines.
If you had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at your moment of salvation, you would find Oneness to be heresy. Everything within you would be rejecting it as false.
This argument has been going on since the age of the apostles. The apostles rejected the false teaching of Oneness, and so should the Christian.
---Bob on 11/13/07

Bob, do U believe God is the one that indwells IN US? The HS is not a 3rd person IT'S GOD'S SPIRIT, Same spirit that was IN Christ is IN me and IN those that are Saved. This is the TYPE OF oneness Christ speaks of, not that he was PART OF a trinity, or that he was playing a role as a Father and Son. The ONENESS cHRIST SPEAKS OF IS The type of relationship HIM AND FATHER HAVE, hE PRAYED IN JN17 THAT WE MAY HAVE THIS WITH fATHER ALSO.
---cInDy92714 on 11/13/07

I believe with all my heart Jesus Christ is the Messiah, that taketh away the SIN OF THE WORLD. He is MY Lord and Savior to the glory of the FATHER. He is the Path to YWH, My God His God, My Father, His Father. WithOUT tHE Son, there would be no Salvation. I thank the Father in Heaven, for SENDING his Son and making him OUR LORD AND Savior after his death and resurrection, for IN Him we have life. God's will is for us to be like His SON, the perfect IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE FATHER.

Did the Father die on the Cross? (NO!)
Did the Holy Spirit die on the Cross?(No!)

If God died, Who was on the Throne?(GOD DID NOT DIE God was always in Heaven, Jesus was SENT down, God gave Jesus FULL AUTHORITY DO THE WILL OF God

Yes they were SEPERATED 2 seperate beings, ONE WAS FLESH, WHO TRULY DIED, ONE IS A SPIRIT. They are ONE IN UNION, SPIRIT,AND WILL,for Christ had a will but submitted to GOD'S WILL! Jesus also PRAYED THAT WE MAY BE ONE AS HE WAS ONE WITH FATHER!

2)17: For God SENT not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world THROUGH him might be saved(MEDIATOR). tHESE 2 VERSEs IS CLEAR God SENT HIS SON, no mentioned God himself came INCARNATE IN HUMAN FLESH.

1Tim 2:5 For there is ONE God and ONE Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Salvation is a free gift from God to Us! That gift is Christ the Mesiah, God's only begotten SON.

First of all, we have Jesus who clearly said someone other than himself is the only true God (Jn 17:3). Then, we also having him tell us that his God and Father is our God and Father (Jn 20:17). John declaring that the reason he wrote the record he did was so that we may believe Yahshua is the Christ, the Son of God (Jn 20:31). Peters answer when the disciples were asked who Yahshua is. Peter said that Yahshua is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Yahshua told Peter his answer was inspired from God.
---CiNdY92714 on 11/13/07

The message remained the same that Yahshua is the Christ, the Son of the living God, who died, was buried, and rose again. On the day of Pentecost, this was the CLEAR message(Acts 2:22-24, 36). Paul, after his conversion(Acts 9:19-20). To the Gentile nations the message was the same (Acts 10:30-47). No ONENESS, TRINITY ONLY JESUS DOCTRINE. It is about Yaweh the One true God and Jesus his only begotten Son, and if you believe God's HS, SAME SPIRIT THAT WAS IN Christ WILL MANIFEST IN U!

1)God demonstrated His love by sending His promised Son, the Savior and Messiah, Jesus Christ, and allowing Him to be crucified. The man Jesus born of a virgin paid for our sins, for this was the will of God to reconcile the world THROUGH his SON.

The three cannot be separated.

Did the Father die on the Cross?

Matthew 1:23 - Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

There is only one God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three eternal and coequal Persons, the same in substance, but distant in subsistence. A book has height, width, and length. Counterfeiting the guidance of the Holy Spirit is now the deceiver's scheme. The devil knows who has the Holy Spirit and who does not.

A Christian with the Holy Spirit is a major threat to demonic hosts.
A person who does not believe that the Holy Spirit is God can be rendered useless by the devil and deceived. The devil will drive this person back into the world. The deceiving spirits will side-track him from active service for God.
They will fall back into carnality and sin.

Oneness gives demonic ground for the working of counterfeit spirits.

If you place the Holy Ghost as an object of obedience, rather than God the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit, you are in danger. This is what creates the danger, ground that deceiving spirits are quick to exploit when the biblical doctrine of the trinity is not clearly taught and affirmed.

That is the danger. We don't obey an object in or around us. We obey God on the throne in heaven. The Holy Spirit is the way, or the empowerment, or means, through Whom God is worshipped, and obeyed.
---Bob on 11/12/07

The Baptism of the Spirit, brings the Holy Spirit as a Person into the believer's spirit. This is such a powerful experience. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
---Bob on 11/12/07

The Holy Spirit, Teacher, is the only teacher we should fully trust because He is the Spirit of Truth and holiness. The Holy Spirit always confirms, and affirms, and quickens the Word of God. He cannot deny Himself. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
---Bob on 11/12/07

The danger of not believing in the Holy Spirit, Person of the Godhead, but rather an object, thing, or atmosphere, you are open to receiving counterfeit spirits.
Oneness doctrine will lead you to believe that you have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, when indeed you have not.
You will be operating out of a counterfeit spirit or your natural perceptions.

As with everything, we receive by faith. If your faith is in an object, you don't have the Holy Spirit.

There is an opening of the spiritual world, which takes place through the filling of the Spirit.
The work of a spirit, for Oneness believers is just the opportunity for the arch-deceiver. The devil starts his most dangerous new strategy. If the man is untaught in the Scriptural statements of the work of the Triune God, to "obey the Spirit", as an object or atmosphere that only points back to the Son, you can be easily deceived.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Persons, not modes of existence. "There is within the one being that is God three co-equal and co-eternal Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, the Spirit is not the Father. Each is eternal - No Person precedes the other, or follows another. Each of these three divine Persons are eternal, each almighty, none greater or less than another, each God, and yet together being but one God.

3)The type of ONENESS Jesus was referring to READ Jn 17:11 states boldly that we ALSO are ONE with the Father IN THE SAME WAY that Jesus and the Father are ONE!..Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE.

" AS WE ARE ONE!" Our Lord's prayer was that we should enjoy the SAME ONENESS with the Father that He enjoyed!

It should be conclusive that "I and my Father are one" has been used out of context.

The true oneness is God IN us! The teachings of Jesus concerning His relationship with the Father is His insistence throughout His ministry that the Father was IN Him and He was IN the Father. He never taught that He was the Father. His prayer in John17 EXPLAINS THIS SO CLEARLY, THAT children of God are ONE with the Father as he is WAS ONE WITH God, this is the relationship he had with the INVISIBLE GOD.

God is A SPIRIT, HE IS INVISIBLE! Col 1:15 (Tim.3:16)

"I and my Father are 1!" Jesus said it! But, does this statement mean that Jesus is saying He is the Father as many claim? Certainly, I can say a husband and wife are 1, b/c Jesus said, "For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and, they twain shall be one flesh,"

Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and SENT into the world... because I said, I AM THE SON OF GOD?

But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is IN me, and I IN him.(MANIFESTATION, NOT Incaration) [Jn 10:30-38]

When you read the entire passage(JN:29-38) you get a FULL REVELATION of what Jesus said. What was His testimony "I said, I am the Son of God." "And believe that the Father is IN me, and I IN him." Clearly, Jesus was not saying He was the Father, but that He was IN Him and He was IN the Father!
